Transformers DVD Release Info

From Michael Bay's official blog comes some news about some of the extras the DVDs will have. As I predicted, there will be two edition, a regular and a special edition issue.

From the blog:
The Transformers DVD...when does it come out you ask. What's it gonna have? What I can tell you is this: there will be 2 versions:

1- A regular version with no extras (just a director commentary).

2.- A multi-disc version with the movie w/ director's commentary and additional disc(s) with tons of extra stuff.

Transformers will also be available on HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats.

    No blu-ray, Paramount has just announced that they will only produce HDDVD

    I work at a movie store and our system has a dvd release date for transformers on October 16th...hope that helps

    WRONG! The Transformers Live Action has not been announced as to the release date on DVD/HD-DVD. The Anonymous source above "works at a movie store" I own one...and as of August 31, no release date has been set in stone YET!

    NOT WRONG... I also work/own a indie movie store as well as write reviews for my local newspaper and we have this movie slated for review early October and I had a vendor hint the release date the 2nd or 3rd week in October also. So maybe we are both wrong? Maybe we are both right? I dunno... we will have to wait and see!

    YOU BOTH ARE FULL OF @#$*. I HAVE LOOKED AT SEVERAL DVD RELEASE SITE YESTERDAY LOOKING FOR ANOTHER MOVIE. AND TRANSFORMERS NOT DUE TO BE RELEASE THIS AT ALL. IT WILL BE OUT SOMETIME IN 08.
    THERE ARE ALOT OF THE OLD CARTOON EPISODES THAT ARE GOING TO BE RELEASED IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS,

    To the owner of the video store - lighten up. It's ok - you don't have to yell and prove everyone else wrong. The DVD will come out in October. Trust me. And it's ok that you didn't know. Not a big deal. Just don't put down the others who are trying to share information.

    I to heard from various companies and sites that OCT16th2007 is the official DVD 2 disc Special Edition. This is DVD format and not HDDVD (No BLURAY). (yes it is the official live action movie released this year in theaters.)

    Major transformers movie fan here and ive been doing weeks of research and all sources of sales say 10/16/07 so that should be the end of that question hahaha

    transformers will be released on Oct 16, it will be a 2 Disc HDDDVD Special Edition. Don't believe me check on amazon.com
