Just a little reminder that the score to Transformers should now be out in stores starting today.
Update: Based on the comments to this thread and elsewhere, it appears the score is NOT out in stores. The reported release date was 10/9 yet nada in the brick and mortars. In hindsight, its pretty telling that none of the Sunday advertising flyers had the score even though usually new releases get a mention. Apparently you can order it online at Amazon and BestBuy.com. For now though I recommend a wait and see as its possible that stores are simply waiting to pair it up with the Transformers DVD & HD-DVD thats coming out next week.

I went to three stores. No score CD. I want the cover art, but no one has it. Now I'll have to buy it off iTunes.

last few games / songs i've D'Led I tried to buy first, but couldn't get, so I downloaded it...
ffs I would pay for it if I could but they makin it too hard for me to :S
i checked best buy, circuit city, walmart, and super target and none had it. circuit city checked out amazon.com...release date still said 10/9...however their site also said not in stock until 10/17. i think like the movie release date, video game release date, and now the score has been pushed back a week to come out with the dvd. hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteI went to 10 different stores. Best Buy, Target, Borders, Circuit City, etc. NONE of them had it even though I asked and pointed out that the release date is 10/9 and OTHER 10/9 releases were clearly on the shelves. Not to discredit the hard-working store staff, but it's very discouraging when you advertise it's going to be on the shelves on that day, and it's not.

I preordered the score from amazon and they just emailed me to say that my copy shipped. So they must have it in stock.
ReplyDeleteweird, I went to the Virgin Megastore yesterday and they had it. Just a couple of copies, mind you as oopsoed to 10 each of the 2007 soundtrack AND the 1986 soundtrack (which I thought was odd), but I picked it up anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt's really good, BTW. With a few exceptions, it's essentially the same melody played 15 times on different instruments and at various tempos, but the quality is excellent and once you do get your hands on it, you won't be disappointed.
Just downloaded from Itunes. Downloaded it and burned it to a cd in <2min. - Done.

ReplyDeleteI was able to find one on the scheduled release date at a local Border Books. Though they were very limited in copies. Best of luck. The score is awesome.
