More Cullen in Optimus Prime

MTV spoke briefly with the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, about Transformers 2. As he had said before, the opening introduction has been done but it turns out that there might be a bit more Cullen in the onscreen Optimus Prime this time around.
“I’ve only done the opening,” voiceover legend Peter Cullen told MTV News, updating us on the lengthy process of recording lines for the film. “[Michael] Bay brought me in to get them started on some of the animation part of it. I think they require a voiceover for it, [and then] we’ll get into the main stuff more towards the end of the fall…November, perhaps.”

And while Cullen will remain off-camera, like in the first film, some of him will find a home on the synchronized face of his alter-ego, Prime. “They focus a camera on my mouth,” he exclaimed. “It’s like ‘Oh my God, they’re looking into my mouth!’ It’s like going to the dentist.”

  7. Ratchet is useless anyway. All he did was get "high" on some electricity. "Ooooh, Tingly." Shit man. Grow some balls. Jazz kiccked more ass than he did. Where was he when bumblebee got blown in half? He was hiding. And he couldn't save Jazz. You might as well call him Flower, because he doesn't fix anything, and doesn't fight. The only reason he fought Starscream is beacause he got cornered.

Don Messick, gawd rest his soul, would have been great as Ratchet in the movie. Shame.

Did you miss the part where he sawed off Brawl's arm with one swing? And I'm pretty sure that if he had some "spark" to work with he could've saved Jazz (but that wasn't in the script. Plus I think he was the eldest of the Autobots so give the old fart a break.

  11. Lame joke coming...

Take Peter Cullen. Replace "Cu" with "Fa". Tell me what you get. I know, it's probably a conspiracy theory but then so is the AllSpark.

I'm pretty sure this whole thing is a Revenge tactic. I know, this is what happens when you have a long Friday workday and you're itching for the weekend to start.

  16. Off topic...but I was just thinking, what if Michael Bay decided to do a Transformers: Shattered Glass type of movie, where the Autobots are the bad guys and the Decepticons are the good guys?

Might be lame...or might be good...

    Anyway...
