Armadillo TF Concept Art

In a nod to Michael Bay's Armageddon, Jester and Jolin have created another piece of Transformers concept art based on the movie's Armadillo. From the posts on Don Murphy and Michael Bay Forums:
Greetings, my name is Armadillo. Just wanted to introduce myself. I come from a long line of drilling and excavation robots. Not too long ago I was hired by NASA to help a group of roughnecks save your planet from certain doom. It was a tough job and I lost good friends in that battle. But alas we overcame the impossible and you are all here today.

I've just come back from some light work on the Mars project. Thought I'd drop in and say hello. You can learn more about me here:

Until all are one...

This one might be the best one yet, love the integration of the background, but I think the Tumbler is still my current favorite. Keep up the excellent work you two.

  2. What were the two vehicles in Armageddon that were drilling into the meteor to place the nukes to save earth called? Part of me thinks they were called armadillos...a little coincidental...

  3. One more thing I noticed...the "Stamper" is a direct reference back to Harry Stamper, Bruce Willis' role in the movie...

  5. The drill was designed by Stamper in the movie. It was stolen by NASA for their Mars project.

  6. So is it going to be a Transformer or not? It would be a shame if it wasent...

  7. To anon 4: Yes the vehicles were called Armidillo's

To anon 8: It's simply a piece of concept work done by the brilliant jester and jolin, so I doubt highly it'll be in the movie...

  8. I've watched Armageddon like 5 times in the theaters and maybe 30 times on DVD. Still one of my all-time favorite Michael Bay movies.

  16. Errrrr, just a thought.... If you look closely at the Earth in the background, just to the left.... Is that a piece of asteroid or the Ark?

Jeez no gets it. I didnt write that, but it is good that people like this are around. If it wasent for people like this, artists would feel less of a need to push themselves to the limits.

If everything they made easily impressed everyone they wouldn't feel a need to improve on there next project.

Instead of wasting time and energy responding to negative comments (most people create negative comments are HOPING lots of people will reply to it, thus doing the SPAMMING for them), use them to push yourself to being that much more creative on your next work.

When someone makes a negative comment, and 10 people comment on that comment, not only are they creating more spam than the person who originally made the negative comment, but they are losing focus on what matters, and focuising on whats negative.... thats bad
