From Seibertron.com comes news that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen production spent November 1st and 2nd filming on the USS John C. Stennis. This contradicts news from Nelson that shooting wrapped around the end of the month. Roberto Orci had suggested that production may wrap on November 5th but at this point I guess we will not know for sure until Bay pops up somewhere and announces it. The filming involved Michael Bay and the core Transformers 2 cast of Shia Labeouf, Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel. Filming occurred on "closed sets" and on the flight deck showing normal operations. Duhamel and Tyrese where in dress uniforms while Shia had "beat-up" makeup on so difficult to tell exactly where in the storyline the scenes might be for.

ReplyDeleteCould be additional scenes for interviews, refilming of scenes not quite up to par, filming for additional filler transitions between setups... who knows, but we'll find out. It seems to me that Nelson's post was acknowledging wrap-up of main production unit, but not necessarily post-production? Just a question...

ReplyDeleteSince they have scenes set in China and Egypt, with Decepticons possibly causing mayhem there .. One practical way for the US Military to deal with that threat is to launch strikes from aircraft carriers.
This is perhaps what the scenes are for. Filming of some attack or strike launched from a patrolling carrier force, with Shia's character Sam taken on board to provide them with advice or liason betweent he Autobots and military.
Of course I might be wrong, but just my 2 cents.
My theory is that these scenes are near the end of the movie because of Sam being wounded, and Lennox and Epps being in dress uniform.

ReplyDeleteI think the facial damage on Shia's face places the scenes shot here after the events that caused those horrible scars on his face and arm visible in another picture series. However, in order for it to heal that quickly indicates that something is influencing the healing process. Is it possible that the Spark's influence on Shia also enables him to heal quicker, or heal himself like Barricade does after the fight with BB and the high way scene with Optimus (Reign of Starscream 1), in addition to his new-found speed reading abilities?

ReplyDeleteAll stars but Tyrese were little B8tches on ship. Megan Fox is trailer trash, Shia is a little girl and Josh was too good to sign on autograph or talk to crew. Tyrese however, signed, sang and had a blast with the crew.
