Deluxe Soundwave Alt Mode

TFW2005 has a link to several ebay auctions for Ransack, Depthcharge and Deluxe Soundwave. As part of the Soundwave auctions are the first pictures of a potential alt mode for the deluxe class Soundwave that I have seen. Apparently the alt mode could be a Cybertronian jet rather then a satellite or possibly this character could be like Starscream from the first movie where Hasbro released a pre-earth fall mode and then the earth jet mode. Another theory is he could simple be a triple-changer. Without the retail packaging, we really can't consider anything as confirmed so all theories remain valid. Looks pretty good though.

  1. That's obviously not a jet mode. That's just the satellite mode posed in such a way it looks like a jet. Not the official transformation.

This is also old, old news.

  2. That's probably the only toy I'm going to get from the ROTF series. Such an amazing design.

  3. Kind of Megatronish in his look but overall, he looks awesome with some minor...very minor similarities between G1 and Cybertron Soundwave.

  4. Well, at least they are keeping the eye-visor thing going on with this one anyway.

I agree. The more they stick to recognizable G1 Soundwave designs, the better.

He better be voiced by Frank Welker! (Or at least have someone who can pull that same voice off with the help of some sound editing)...But still...FRANK WELKER!!!! If the sequel has Frank Welker voicing Soundwave, the movie has practically made $200 million, guaranteed.

  6. I think I saw this somewhere before... yeah I agree it's not an official alt mode, still speculation..

  7. Hands down the best Decepticon design. No chicken legs or funny claws, and bad ass wing kibble.

That is one CGI render Im dying to see.

  9. Though Soundwave can be transformed something which looks like jet, that's not his alternate mode. Satellite is his alternate mode. He can't be triple changer, because Bay has said that there are no triple cahngers in ROTF movie.

  10. By the way, taht first one of those three photos. That's what Soundwave's alternate mode really looks. Look it! It looks mostly like satellite than other modes of Soundwave. Soundwave really transforms himself to Cybertronian satellite. If you don't believe, let's wait until Roberto Orci confirms more rumors.

  11. Mmm... Soundwave. This one and the pic of the new Prime-toy are gonna be the first toys I buy in friggin years.

I am pretty sure that in the teaser-trailer during Superbowl we will have something like this:

    -Dreamworks/Paramount screens-
    -Black screen-
    -Sam standing, breathing heavily-
-short action shots, showing off mostly old characters-
-Sam: what is THAT? -Turns around, pointing-
    -Black screen
    -Text: Revenge is coming-
-Soundwave rising up through some rubble-
    -Black screen-
    -Soundwave: Humans inferior...
    - Revenge of the Fallen: 6/26/09-

Can't wait to see and hear Soundwave on screen. I almost wet my pants just thinking of the action this movie is gonna contain.

Aw shit man, what if they bring Megatron back, and because he gets redesigned, Welker does his voice, that would be @#$&! sweet!

If they borught Megatron back, I'd like him to be Galvatron, and thus voiced by Leonard Nimoy. But Frank Welker could voice both of them!

I think that Michael Bay owes Nimoy a favour. Nimoy is Michael Bay's uncle (or something like that) and contributed a lot of money to the construcion of the Griffith Observatory (The Autobots discuss the Cube's location with the glasses) from the first film.

  15. Yeah, on the Transformers Commentary, Michael Bay states that Leonard Nimoy married into the family, Susan Bay being Michael's aunt) and is a big giver to the renovation of the observatory.

    Thought I'd double-check my facts:)
