Enhanced Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Poster

Thanks to Bilal, below is an enhanced version of the official poster for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen that reveals more details of the Tranformer face. Click image for larger size.

Below is a quick snapshot of the various candidate faces we have so far. The first is Jetfire who has a vertical lined "beard" that the poster face doesn't have. The second one is Soundwave, who comes pretty darn close except he has one eye and a "mouth" while the poster doesn't. However, the toys have to be "locked" nearly six months to a year ago to meet manufacturing deadlines while Michael Bay and company can make adjustments as they see fit. Also of note is how similar to the Decepticon logo the face is (something Soundwave shares). It’s possible that a story point, supported by Alliance #4 Defiance #1 prequel cover is that "The Fallen" rather then Megatron is the creator of the Decepticons.

Update: At this point, I am going to assume the image in the poster is The Fallen until get evidence to the contrary. I could write out a long explanation but TheHDRoom already did it so why re-invent the wheel.

  1. with the enhanced poster, I think the robot's face is inspired from the egyptian sun god Anubis. There could be a plot that the egyptians believed the fallen to be Anubis, who had the head of a dog (this face really resembles the dog face of anubis) and had powers, of course.

  2. not to mention, the ancient egyptian lined head dress designed thing on the sides.

    ReplyDelete
  3. could the side pieces be tank tracks?

Meaning Megatron with a new face?

    cool poster either way :)

  4. That isn't Jetfire's or Soundwave's face. Every part isn't like they have.

  5. its soundwave!!! maybe the decepticon symbol originated from this transformer maybe kind of like a god or something, and soundwave will take his face when he dies just a thought

  6. Nice poster! Though I've no clue as to who/what it is

    ReplyDelete
  7. It's certainly NOT a Soundwave (he doesn't have his visor you morons...), or Jetfire. Look clously, he have a nemes, like pharaoh, so he must be on earth for ages. It can be only the Fallen, because, who elese? xP

  8. if you lay the autobot logo over the decepticon logo you get the fallen. you might need to remove some parts of the symbols to get the face of the fallen but in theory the the two logos are of the fallen. heres a hint of what i see when you add the nose of the autobot to the decepticon logo and picture the artist of the movie creating a much detail look to the face of the fallen. i would have added the picture of the autobot logo next to jetfire, soundwave, decepticon logo, and the fallen.

  9. Whose things which make it little look like Jetfire. Of course. Megatron doesn't appear in movie. But The Fallen appears. So Cybertronian tank must be his alternate mode. But that tank must be different than Megatron new toy's tank mode.

  10. i kind of see what some people say the fallen looks like an egyptian but if true of the fallen looking like an egyptian then this only means the story will be of the many stories we have seen in movies when humans had to come in contact with aliens to have such a culture look different because as books and film show that humans could not dream or build such a culture without the influence/aid of aliens. bummer!

  11. can you compare the leaked Megs picture of his toy tank mode and the poster...i'm sure it's megs!!

  12. GAAAHHHH, the comercial banners on this site drive me crazy! It takes friggin forever to load the page!

I think its Soundwaves earthmode face now that we have a better look at it. Remember the "concept" picture of him and ravage? He had eyes there, and not a visor. Since Ravage looks like its based of that picture, why wouldn't Soundwave be based of it as well? :)
This is a really cool looking face, I would be very glad if it turned out to be either Jetfire's or Soundwaves face.

  18. I agree, it looks just like the face Megs is kneeling too. I think it must be the Fallen who will be introduced as the true founder of the decepticons. I must agree I like the TF's on earth historically, but I think we could have done without another Egypt reference. I would have rather he been a god for the Aztecs or Mayans instead of the worn out Egypt story.

  20. HMMMM idk..but think of it...if jetfire is gonna turn an "autobot"...thats kinda having revenge against the deceptacons,,,the poster can be him....Maybe he was the first boss of the decetacon...(remember i heard that jetfire is a bit old)
megatron got jealous and probably betrayed him---that is why starscream is reluctant to obay cause starscream always claim that megatron is not the real boss...see a G1 cartoon on youtube...i think....

  21. Can someone answer me a short question regarding the prequel comics?!

How many of them are there (4 right)? What are the titels of them? When and where can I get them? (online shops preferred since I'm from Switzerland)

    cheers and thanx

  22. yes ! indeed there are many similarities between the teaser and the face of 'defiance' !

    ReplyDelete
  23. May I??

Here's my verdict (remember... this doesn't mean this IS going to happen, or SHOULD happen, or is the ONLY distinct possibility, or that any other suggestions are merely NONSENSE... it's just my own personal view).

I bet Bay & co. are delerious with the way everyone starts the rumour-mill going yet again as soon any hint of official news hits. I know this poster is official (is it on Bay's site yet?) but here's why I think/hope 'the fallen' refers to a previously defeated/injured TF rather than creator of the Decepticons/evil etc...

TF#1 reinvented the series in all our (G1 fans) eyes but also introduced brand-new 1st-time fans to the TF-universe. Hands up how many people honestly knew the story behind the Fallen (named character)?? I honestly didn't and I do consider myself a TF G1 geek/nerd/nut, etc... call me what you will.

I think the sample of fans who will keep the TF universe alive from now on are those who have been newly introduced to TF thru movie #1. This goes on to suggest the majority of the viewing audience are unaware of who the 'Fallen' is and what the hell it means if he goes on to stroll across our screens on June 26th.

Because the TF-universe has been reinvented, yes some same characters, but lots of things changed, i.e. Ironhide was red now black, Megatron was a gun now a jet, etc... This is why I think Bay will stick to introducing TFs to Earth in TF#2 and further explaining their differences. Yes, I know we've been told we're gonna find out about Cybertron and it's history but if the 'Fallen' does appear then what is his revenge??

It makes more sense to me for any such revenge to be linked to what we've already seen, i.e. TF#1. This way more fans can make the connection. It's not as if there'll be a message outside theatres saying "To understand this movie you need to have read, and thoroughly understood, Transformers comic issue #00000 published 1980-whenever."

I think I'm still hoping (very distant hope now) that we would get to see Grimlock or Hot Rod or Ultra Magnus or Astro-Train, etc... in TF#2 but these characters such as Skids and Beat and Barricade (was he in any previous TF incarnation?) eliminate all such hope (remember, this is NOT G1. Bay has freshened things up by introducing such characters - sometimes change is a good thing, but there's nothing wrong with holding out any hope of seeing an old favourite standing 4-storys tall in full CGI-glory all parts moving all guns blazing, is there. Just imagine... Hot Rod as an Enzo!!!!). Personally (!!!!) I don't want to see the 'Fallen', I'd be happy to see Megatron return and exact his revenge, whether as Megatron or Galvatron (hopefully Megatron... he was by far more sinister than Galvatron, plus he had an Earth alt mode... what was Galvatron??).

I also like the idea of Jetfire being beneath the pyramids (I think he is the old crippled warrior we've been told of). If the Autobots are transported to Egypt, maybe they are taken in an SR-71 (I don't know how big they are) and it could be the first Earth-machine Jetfire sees once un-tombed then transcans it. Jetfire could also be the fallen and his revenge could be against the Decepticons for not rescuing him eons ago after being damaged and crash-landing thus crippled (I wonder if Jetfire went after the AllSpark himself before and unknowing to Megatron, got close like Megatron then crashed and burned and is now stranded - the Egyptians may have entombed him fearing he was a God whom they didn't want on the loose and they thought a couple-hundred tons of stone would hold him steady. To be honest, the new breed of Decepticons are shit-scary looking so I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to keep him buried... Blackout hardly looked inviting and comforting did he!!), as I've previously passed comment on - LionBoogey thought it was a decent theory, perhaps others will too.

To reiterate, this is ONLY my opinion therefore means nothing. This is a blog for people to comment on and discuss, so I am commenting on and discussing. Unless Bay says so, no-one is right or wrong. We should remember this and rather than bitch at each other, just wait til trailers are coming thick and fast (they did last time so why not this time).

Essay-over, I just hope the next 5-6 months go quick.

It's been an honour serving with you all.

  24. Another (final) thing. Let's just be grateful that a second movie is being made. We were lucky enough to get a 1st movie and see all our child-hood favourite toys make the long-awaited and deserved leap to the big screen (for real this time though). Now we get a second... whoa!!

We all know it'll be awesome and regardless of what Bay assures us... we will all be blown away by what is presented to us on screen. We would have all written different story lines and designed characters differently, but we're not the ones being paid blank cheques to do the job and we're not the one's with a make-or-break $200 million budget resting on our shoulders (would you want that pressure??). Let's just appreciate what the good guys do and savour every second of what is no doubt going to be the hit of the Summer!!

  25. WHY DO YOU DUMBASS KIDS KEEP BRINGING UP JETFIRE?????????????

    It's sooooo dam simple.

Look at the image in the plate that Megatron is kneeling before. Now look at the poster image.

    IT'S THE SAME DAM IMAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why is this so hard to not understand?

Would Megatron kneel before Jetfire? NO!!!!!

Would Megatron kneel before Soundwave? HELL NO!!!!!!!!

Come on guys, use your dam heads for a second. It has been printed over and over and over....The story is about THE FALLEN.
The image matches the Decepticon logo.

If you don't want to believe this, then go ahead and claim it's LEE HARVEY OSWALT while you're at it. Or it's WALDO

  26. Simbatron...

Finally, someone with some common sense about the whole Fallen as a character mess.
    I like your views.
There are tons of bots I would love to see before I needed a "Fallen" character. It's just not needed.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Simabatron, you're a simple minded idiot.

You can't expand your mind and hope for a storyline to be a little more complex.
You want it sooo simple, bring megatron back.

How boring is that. Megatron lost, so he needs revenge. WHOA, I can't wait. LOL

There is nothing wrong with EXPANDING the TF story to new viewers. People know who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

Now show them where they came from, how they started warring, and why they continue to fight.

The pics from the movie set show you're beloved JETFIRE in the museum. NOT IN THE PYRAMIDS.

Open your mind to a new more complex storyline. Don't be so simpleminded.
Astro-Train and Hot Rod???? WTF??? hahahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  28. HotRod sux he shud die for killing Prime

    ReplyDelete
  29. To anonymous 2 above me: Now look whos the simple minded idiot...

As simbatron stated, its only his interpretation of events. Who truly knows whats happening? You?

Anyways, IF they give the Fallen a backstory (like they - very - briefly did in TF1 for Cybertron), then that would bring the non TF 'nerds' (as simbatron put it) into the fold.

I happen to like the way simbatron has speculated his ideas.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That's Galvatron. Bay said Megatron isn't coming back but he also likes to mess with us too. If you remember awhile back we saw a tank of what was supposedly Megs. But, he mentioned that he wasn't in the movie, he is, but in a different form.

  32. I know you all will call me an idiot and hate me for it but I think that robot in the photo won't be a live, walking, talking transformer. let's call thae robot in the photo, 'the decepticon'. the decepticon was a significant leader or force in ancient times and NO LONGER EXISTS! or is buried somewhere in egypt. MEGATRON is the fallen (despite bay saying and the fact that ppl say its stupid bringing him back). if that character in the ic was fallen and if he were alive, megatron wudnt be kneeling to its image. megatron seeks power and assistance in taking revenge, thus he's kneeling to the decepticon. why is that character on the poster? he's the reason behind the fallen (meg) taking revenge...the main power. the character in the photo will be athe main power and force in the film and megatron will benefit from it to take revenge. lol...give it to me now. i surrender :P

  33. Maybe the Fallen is Soundwave's dad and his revenge is killing Megatron for stealing his baby's momma. Just kidding. I am interested to see how this story plays out but I do agree that the Egypt thing is a bit played out.

  41. Ok, let's get something straight: It's not Jetfire and it's not Megatron. It is the FALLEN. Why are people having so much trouble understanding this? If you need more proof well I work at a comic store. The guy that owns the comic store gets comic book movie posters to put out for upcoming movies. A box of posters we just got in says TF2-Fallen on the side of the box and says do not display until February. The Fallen could be talking about the movie title right? Well we are getting two other movie posters in also on our order sheet with TF2-Prime and TF2-JFire as the poster id's. Also the TF2-Fallen display came with a id card that said something like this: "The Fallen was one of the first Transformers that came to earth to enslave after being outcast by his rulers he was hailed as a god but later was entombed in a Egyptian pyramid and lies asleep under the pyramid waiting until it's time to get his revenge." Something along those lines. Anyways, I'll try to snap a quick picture of the ID when I go back to work. The boss is a real dick when it comes to things like that, but I'll try. Still, that should be more than enough proof to settle the silly Jetfire, Soundwave and Megatron argument.

  42. Ok, let's get something straight: It's not Jetfire and it's not Megatron. It is the FALLEN. Why are people having so much trouble understanding this?

Because they are all like "uuu, i love Soundwave/Megatron, so it MUST be Soundwave/Megatron!" Idiots.

  43. You want to tell me, that Megatron is bowing to himself?

Fair dues dude, i hadn't seen that picture and you are correct, how could megs be kneeling in front of himself :)

Could it be a set up at the end of the movie and Megs transforms into galvatron though? (i have no idea how a golden thingy relates to this of course)

interesting theories from everyone else...keep 'em coming

    ReplyDelete
  44. I've mentioned it before. The Decepticons symbol was actually based on Soundwave's face in the past. It's no surprise it looks similar. It's interesting that maybe The Fallen's face also looks similar. Maybe The Fallen began creating Decepticons first by making some with similar characteristics, like Soundwave, and then they "evolved" since then. Maybe this could also describe Soundwave's more monotonous robotic voice, as he's a primitive model, while newer Decepticons have more flunctuation and emotion in their voices. Just a thought.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Anonymous post (surprise surprise) @ 10:14am. Unless you are Bay (in which case lets see a username), which I seriously doubt, you don't actually know what's going to happen. You get so angry it seems you're certain about the sequence of the movie and in which it was shot. Movie's are always shot completely out of sequence so there's nothing to say the museum isn't the film-ending, not the damned opening credits.

We get to say what we want on here cos it's a blog/comments board, why do you have such a hard time dealing with that? The first thing I said made it clear these were ONLY my opinions and carried no substance nor significance. You got that? Yes I see your saying what you want, but why does it have to be derogatory to someone else?

You call me simple-minded? Pal I may be SINGLE-minded for wanting to see old favourites up on the big screen but, my riend, you're the one who's SIMPLE-minded! You seem to have difficulty accepting the views of others yet expect EVERYONE to accept yours without question. People queried me saying Hot Rod and Astro-Train, but why did nobody query Ultra Magnus?? Obviously some other people out there think he would have been a welcome addition to the line-up. I was just quickly reeling off some other popular G1 characters, or those which would have made for the best transformations, i.e. a truck merging with its trailer! But still... Hot Rod as an Enzo... come on, now that would look the mut's nuts!!

If the fallen is the Fallen then fine I'll deal with it, my only point was that I felt there was plenty more TF universe/material out there for Bay & co. to go at. Obviously the big cheeses paid with blank cheques decided otherwise, also fine, as they're the one's with the $200 million resting on THEIR shoulders. Now, unless you're one of those writers or indeed Bay himself, let us get on with speculating and passing comment freely and FUCKING CAN IT GOBBO!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Fair enough, official merchandise describing the 'Fallen' settles it then. But seeing as this has guy only just posted there was nothing wrong with people who DON'T work at comic book stores or take delivery of posters identifying characters speculating possible theories, none of which had been proven right or wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh there's nothing wrong with speculation or anything. I think it can be fun. The problem I have with it is when someone comes exclaiming they are right, when they honestly have no idea. As with many people I've seen saying they're 100% sure it's Jetfire, Soundwave or Megatron. Even with the description on the ID tag for the poster, there are still many things we don't know about Fallen or the story in general. So the speculating can and will definitely continue. All we know as of now is that Fallen is the first Decepticon on Earth, was praised as a God by humans in Egypt and was entombed inside of a pyramid. That's all. I'm sure when you look at the poster now, you'll see just how much Fallen looks like the God Anubis. Other than that we don't know what is exact role will play in the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Didn't know what/who Anubis was til I just looked him up... besides the fact that one's a dog and one's a robot... they're identical! Nice find!

Now that's cleared up... we can all start to speculate what the Fallen's revenge is then!

    Happy hunting everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  49. The glyphs are the key here. Only Prime and Megs had them in the first movie and I believe Orci said that it was significant. This poster shows a robot with glyphs. Pretty sure the theory of the Fallen coming to earth early on in the past and becoming and Egyptian god sounds most plausible. He is probably the template for a lot of the styles and mythology of the Egyptian people. Hence his similarity to King Tut.

I think Jetfire's role in all of this is that because he's old and "geriatric" he may have been around during the time of the Fallen being banished to earth and knows the backstory (which we may here firsthand from him) and will probably end up converting to the Autobot side to help eliminate this threat......because......knowing Starscream, he'll probably try to exploit The Fallen for his own gain of taking over the earth. Possibly try to join The Fallen and eventually be betrayed by him. Jetfire will join the Autobots because he wants the Fallen dead which will probably go against what Starscream wants.

Soundwave's part in all of this is that he'll probably be working a bit with Starscream, but be mostly driven to resurrect his true leader Megatron, which will most likely happen at the end triggering a cool and major showdown.

I'm probably way off, but seems like a formula that has been used a lot and will most likely be used here.

    ReplyDelete
  50. It does not really matter who the poster image is of, but the brightened version is one EVIL looking robot. I do see the anubis similarities. This will be interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  51. oh boy, the super advanced aliens as Egyptian god storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ok guys, how about this. I thought there was something I read about that contained the individual sparks of all living or dead transformers, the Matrix maybe, or something else? Well, anuyway, with all this talk and mentioning Anubis, well he was kind of a gatekeeper of the dead world or something right, like he protected all of the souls of the dead and guarded them? So, what if the Fallen is kind of like that for the Transformers souls/sparks, and Megs is bowing to him in the underworld, or that theoretical dimension that the Fallen is stuck in and it is somehow connected to the Pyramids, like a worm hole from the underworld or something. And maybe Megs is bowing to him because he is like the Anubis of Transformers? I don't know , just throwing things around out to ya.

  62. Excellent point by Joeseph Cagle, I never thought of primitve model transformers before and Soundwave bearing a lot of resemblance to the faction logo is indeed interesting, but how does the Allspark tie into all this? According to Optimus Prime, that was how [his] race was born and he makes it clear that all transformers were one till Megatron decided he wanted more power

    ReplyDelete
  63. What if The Fallen created the all spark and the TF's. Now with the allspark gone the decepticons have to search for the fallen to gain access to the power of the all spark. What if the egyptians possesed pieces of the allspark and like same started reading and writting in different languages and gaining the technology to build prymids and junk. Part three is going to tie in to Atlantis J/K

  68. However, this guardian of entropy became obsessed with the darker side of chaos and death, and in the black place these urges led him, the traitor found a new god, more suited to his nature. He turned against Primus and became The Fallen. Now he is a being of power, darkness, and absolute dedication to Unicron

If this movie is about the fallen all I can say is OH S!@T !!!!!!

And this may be stupid but does anyone think we could ever see Unicron in a Bay film? or is he just HUGE!

  71. I am LOVING the H.R. Geiger look. I think it's perfect for a character like the Fallen.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Also, to everyone who's talking about Anubis:

The Fallen looks way more like Set, who's an actual "evil" god in Egyptian mythology. (This idea is sort of interesting, especially since Egyptologists still don't know what animal Set was based off of. Hint hint, nudge nudge.)

But yeah. Anubis was basically patron diety of mummification, and was only god of the Underworld until Osiris adopted the role.

Man with all of the bad ass Decepticons that we have heard about ( Ravage, Soundwave, the Audi R8 and who knows who else since Bay has done such a good job of keeping secrets!)I just dont see how this movie can end well for the Autobots I mean that is kind of a play into the name of the whole movie...Revenge of the Fallen

I dont know who I want to see more in this movie...

Soundwave, Ravage, Sideswipe, or if I just want to see Bumlbebee just kick absolute ASS!!! and then you throw in the character whomever it maybe right up there at the top of this page and it just makes it even harder to decide.

OH YEAH! and lets not forget the absolute hotness of Megan Fox!

    Michael Bay you are AWESOME!!!!!

  76. some people are saying that this posters face is where the Decepticon logo comes from. I think its close, but the top part isnt right. It looks like the guy has a conveyor belt or something coming out of his glowing nostrels, which are on his forehead...weird lookin dude.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I mean how can you have Ravage and Soundwave in this movie and no Megatron?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Im liking the idea of the fallen, more and more not just simple prime and megatron! And of course the backstabbing starscream!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I hope that they dont kill off starscream early like in this one or the next! Cause hes the best! And if he is destroyed i hope its EPIC!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I have no idea.... There isnt anyone more loyal to Megatron then Soundwave and Ravage....I am just waiting to see if Starscream somehow shows his true colors and feelings for Megatron in the movie... And when you watch TF1 all you see at the end of the movie is Megatron whooping Optimus Prime's ass and then you see Starscream take out Ironhide and Ratchet like it aint shit! Oh yeah and Megatron rippen Jazz's ass in half!

  81. The Fallen- He is based on a character introduced in the second Transformers: The War Within comic book. He was one of the original thirteen Transformers, and became a servant of Unicron. Bay described the Fallen as "apocalyptic"

That is what Revenge of the Fallen is going to do to the other movies box office numbers that are coming out the following weeks after this one....Make it seem apocalyptic b/c no one will be going to see any movie but this one....Love or Hate Bay! They will see this movie.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Im having a feeling that this movie is about The Fallen and Decepticons. Don't know how the hell the Autobots are going to win this.

    ReplyDelete
  83. The movie will switch between good losing in part two so that part three can occur. How else would it be? Remember in the cartoons they would lead you on to watch the following show. The question is, is this going to end with Prime getting a beat down or BumbleBee, and by who?

    ReplyDelete
  84. I predict the death of Bumblebee and the rise of GOLDBUG!

    ReplyDelete
  85. PTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

  86. i agree with SIMBATRON....it will be a huge mess trying to introduce something as silly as "the fallen" to a non geek, non comic book reading, mainstream movie audience...i too am a hardcore g-1 fan and i never ever heard of the fallen till the title of this movie was announced..and do i think the writers and bay are going to introduce such an obscure character in the follow up to the first movie ? no, no way in hell...even if its not soundwave, jetfire or whoever, hell it may be no one, remember how the first teaser poster had everyone scrambling to guess who it was ? remember what hap ? it was just the autobot symbol close up with a blue eye in the middle..this poster could be no one, in fact if u look at it closely, u can see 2 identical faces lookin at each other as well... its an optical illusion at best....but im sure bay and the writers are sitting back and loving the continued speculation.... i guarantee u thats not the fallen, and i guarantee he will not appear in the movie, and i also guarantee megatron will be back...cant wait for the superbowl footage !!!

  87. hardcore (...) fan

Hardcore fans (a.k.a. fanboys or geewuners) should be killed... They just can't accept any chanegs without saing "it's raping my childhood".

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well I think it's pretty much a given that Megatron will be in this movie no matter what Bay says....HELLO!!! Ravage and Soundwave!!!! Nobody is more loyal to Megatron then them! And yes I do think the fallen is in this movie....

  89. Megatron will be in this movie no matter what (...)HELLO!!! Ravage and Soundwave!!!! Nobody is more loyal to Megatron then them!

    So freakin what...?

  90. So how the heck could those two be in this movie and Megatron not be??? You obviously dont know Transformers very well...

    ReplyDelete
  91. It could be megs I guess.
Do you remember the old toy pics of Megatron as a tank? his head stuck out between thhe treads, which could be what the ribbing along the sides of the poster is.

  92. So how the heck could those two be in this movie and Megatron not be???

    Just because?

  93. I'm a hardcore G1 fan and I still like the Fallen... what's up with ppl dissing the fallen just because they never read the comics? It's not all about just the cartoon yo... Transformers is a whole universe. Peace!

  95. I think it looks like the Decepticon logo. maybe the Fallen is their origin.

    ReplyDelete
  96. He looks like a bad ass is all I know...And why do so many of you guys have to get personal on a blog? is your self esteem really that low? it's that person's opinion if you dont like it then get over it....

  97. And why do so many of you guys have to get personal on a blog? is your self esteem really that low? it's that person's opinion if you dont like it then get over it....

I don't have anything against people with they're own opinion, but i hate people who think that they are center of the universe thinking "if i hate this, everybody should hate this".

    ReplyDelete
  98. Guys, remember the last poster? That guy never came into the movie and we all thought it was megatron. This is just some random transformer.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I dont know Dudes.....I think it's the Fallen.

    ReplyDelete
  100. ummm, anubis is the god of embalming. you know making mummies. the sun god was ra. if the fallen is based off of a god, it most likely wont be anubis. still, the egyptians worshiping him as the sun god isnt that far fetched.

  101. "Excellent point by Joeseph Cagle, I never thought of primitve model transformers before and Soundwave bearing a lot of resemblance to the faction logo is indeed interesting, but how does the Allspark tie into all this? According to Optimus Prime, that was how [his] race was born and he makes it clear that all transformers were one till Megatron decided he wanted more power"

Perhaps The Fallen discovered The Allspark's power first, or gained access to it during sometime to create much of the Transformers race.

But I know in the story line, at one time they all lived in peace. But perhaps The Fallen placed evil intentions and ambitions in the programming of certain life on Cybertron.

  102. Taking another look at the poster after reading one comment, it does look like this could be two identical robot faces looking at eachother.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Just my speculation, so you guys, don't jump on me the first minute you disagree. The Fallen can still be JetFire, I figure, but just in its primal form. Once converted to a 1960's BlackBird/Autobot, he is then called JetFire. Judging purely from the visual cues given by the toy, the "Bearded" part of JetFire looks like a mask of sorts. Perhaps similar to Optimus' mask when he goes into battle mode. While the poster shows more of the robot's facial features underneath the protective mask.

I'm just not ruling anything out at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  104. That comment above about the battle mask was my first comment on this board. So if I had missed any details that could discredit my speculation, let me know.

  105. There's always the possibility that it's Devestator...... I mean most of the vehicles thats he's made up of have treads (much like a tank), and we all know that Dev's in the movie, in the egypt scene. So, what if devestator is the fallen (I know that's waaay crazy) or maybe the fallen takes the lead of the constructicons and makes them combine into devestator. Maybe, there is some excavation going on in Egypt, and once the fallen awakes (or is unleashed) he see's the construction vehicles, and scans them for his earth mode, because he's buried under a pyramid in his cybertronian mode. Just a possibility.

  106. Oh, and btw, devastator's G1 design had bars that jetted out on both sides of his head......

    ReplyDelete
  107. The Fallen is a totally different bot then Jetfire, Soundwave and, Devastator.... whomever it is I think Megatron knows of him and knows what a bad ass he is.... They find Jetfire in a museum somewhere not in the middle of the desert I mean think about it......How old is that bot gonna have to be to be buried beneath the Pyramids? Megatron had the cube shoved into his chest so he had probably found out about this bot that way...

Or it could be that the fallen just means that the Decepticons lost in the last movie so now they have revenge and there isnt even a bot in the movie called the fallen....Who the frig knows guys all I know is is we all have pretty good opinions and hopefully all of us will be able to figure this out in the next few weeks....

    ReplyDelete
  108. It's Sauron!

    ReplyDelete
  109. and Saruman!

    ReplyDelete
  110. In response to the above, it's totally fine to assume that JetFire or Dev or The Fallen Bot was buried in the earth since the time of ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt has only about 5 to 6 thousand years of history. The Cube supposedly came to earth about 10,000 B.C. (that's 12,000 years ago) and Megatron followed a few thousand years later. He was already buried in the ice for millennia when he was found in the North Pole. So it's totally possible for whoever The Fallen is to have been buried since ancient Egypt.

  111. All this analysis proves is that the designs for the Decepticons are all too boring and similar.

  112. It's Sauron!
    and Saruman!

    and Frodo!

    ReplyDelete
  113. "It's Sauron!
    and Saruman!
    and Frodo!"

    and dun forget Sam too!

oh wait... he's actually the only one in the movie! Hahahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Megatron is on the bottom of the ocean floor, it aint him in this picture. This guy has the whole Egypt thing going on and why would it be Megatron? It absolutely is not Megatron! It's the FALLEN, hense the title of the movie, hense the caption on the bottom of the poster.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I dont care just bring on the dinobots

    ReplyDelete
  116. in response to most of the above comments I'm going togive a history lesson. So the fallen was one of the original 13 transformers created by primus. But he fell (in a matter of speaking) to the dark side and allies himself with prmus's evil twin unicron (watch transformers the old movie) the planet eater.

So soon after the fallen joined forces with unicron a great battle took place between unicron and primus in which primus claimed victory. Afterwards unicron and the fallen were tossed into a black hole with unicron emerging out the otherside but the fallen was caught in the space between space and sat there to rot in what seemed a never ending prison!

Much later on in life rougly 6 million years ago a new form of transportation was being deveolped by one of the two factions (decepticons and autobots) on cybertron (transformer homeworld) which allowed matter to be transferee extremley quickly through the underspace. As soon as they begun the test though the fallen crept through the doorway and when on to wreak havoc upon the inhabitants of cybertron. He recrutided the mystical transformers bludgeon mindwipe and bugly (all old decepticons). Who prophesised that an organic transformer would layer rule the galaxy. Afterward he went on to abduct the transformers known as(Grimlock,Blitzkrieg,Hot Spot am the fan favorite JETFIRE) who were all thought to have an organiclly inclined spark.

But of course the decepticons and the autobots team up to stop the now all powerful fallen who tends them all off only to later destroyed by an awakens primus.

Afterwards all is well untill war re-erupts on cyberton and the newly reintroduced unicron poses an even larger threat that the transformer comics take a new step in the saga. Leaving us wondering what ever happened to the organic transformers (altough all but grimlock are reintrduced in generation 2) !!!!

My moneys on its gonna be jetfire but OMG I would love to see the fallen as the main antagonist in this movie (even though it goes completley against the story in the comics)

  117. It's easy, it mirrors early religion and war on the etherial plains....
    The Fallen is the 'Devil'....
    Turned against the original 13....
    Gained loyal followers, the Decepticons....
Fallen is banished/goes in search of more power, the Allspark....
    New leader established, Megatron....
War raged for years on Cybertron as a result....
Megatron goes in search of more power, as his boss did....
As we know Megatron gets defeated....
Decepticons leaderless hear about the Fallen, this could possibly be the info that Sam has....
Decepticons go in search of the Fallen....
Knowing the how evil and powerful the Fallen is, Jetfire joins forces with the Autobots....
    Madness ensues....
I get roughly 2 hours of escapism and another superb summer blockbuster....
    The End....
