TF2 Biplane and Ship

Two more pictures have popped up at TFArchive from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen scout class. This time they are the cards for a gunship and a biplane. The pictures are a bit blurry but enough to get a general idea of the toys. I really like the idea of a transforming biplane, so forward to more detailed pictures. A WWII themed Transformer toyline might be worth looking into by Hasbro. As usual, it’s doubtful that these images represent movie characters. Thanks to minime for the links.

  1. OK, a BIPLANE?

    No seriously, a BIPLANE???!

Oh man, that's just as corny as Kosmos the UFO TF. haha The ship is cool though, I'd definitely get that.

Yeah, what next, a couch? Or maybe a lawnmower?

  3. Come on now. From set pictures we know the main characters end up in a museum. It could make sense that some of the machines there gain life. Kinda like the xbox and Dew machine. More than likely only for the toy line, but still a cool idea. And i agree, from what we can see, the ship looks wicked.

  4. how do we know these aren't part of the movie? Show me pictures of toys that were introduced before the first movie.

  5. I'm not arguing if they are or aren't part of the movie. I'm arguing how a BIPLANE got to be a TF toy. No kid wants a robot biplane. They want cars, trucks, and super-cool vehicles.

A biplane is like... well, maybe that's the geriatric robot Michael Bay was referring too. The one who pre-existed all the others and just kinda stuck around in the same vehicle all these decades. hehe

A little monotonous, don't you think? I like the idea of biplane transformer, it's at least more original, than "oh look, another autobot CAR! I just need to have ANOTHER Autobot CAR on my shelf".

I would realy love to see a whole line of TFs based on old vechicles.

Hm... y'know... if they end up in a museum at some point, what if The Fallen has the ability to make machines into transformers like the AllSpark and the Biplane is a henchman he creates for himself?

Just trying to give it some context. I may actually get the Biplane just because it's different

Nah.. I'm sure if they brought Kup in he'd be a halftrack or something.

which actually would make for an awesome figure I bet.

  10. I dunno bout you guys, but I'd definitely love to get a biplane transformer... it's something new for a change. Reminds me a lil of Starscream & the Seekers' alt modes in Hearts of Steel...

It sure points to a museum visit...

Keep the faith dude, if he does'nt show up in #2 or #3, I will be surprised. Him and Devastator(or just at least a Constructicon or two) are on the top of my list. They gotta do Grimmy!

"ME GRIMLOCK NO LIKE PRETENDER ALICE. ME THINKS I WILL EAT YOU!"

God I can't wait for a good trailer!

  12. Agree with this guy... a WWII Transformer story would be pretty neat. Megatron with the Axis, Prime and the Allies. It could be a whole "untold" storyline. Sherman tanks, cargo trucks, B-17 bombers, U-2 submarines, V2 rockets, hell make Megatron the Enola Gay or something.

If done properly, that could be pretty entertaining.

  13. I agree, WW1/WW2 Transformers would be awesome, as would some Steampunk Transformers. Could you imagine Optimus as a giant 1800's locomotive?
Oh and the PT boat is pretty sweet too.

    Nice job I say Hasbro.

  14. BTW, meant u-boat submarine... not U-2. (that would be a spy plane!)

  15. A WWII Transformers comic book would be awesome. Did anyone read the Transformers: Hearts of Steel comics? If so, what did you think of them?

I would love a biplane Transformer. As a kid, I would have loved one too. I actually grew up near a small airport that had biplanes, and just about every weekend, the biplanes would be flown and the pilots would do tricks in them. It was great and free entertainment.

I think you'd be surprised at how many kids would want a biplane transformer.

  16. TripEllex - check out Hearts of Steel. I think Bumblebee was actually the locomotive, though. I haven't read it myself, just seen some pictures from the comics. But it would have been great to have Optimus Prime as a locomotive.

  17. Seibertron.com actually has a news article up about a third party TF maker who created a Hearts of Steel Optimus Prime as a Locomotive. Check it out.

As for these guys, damn! Never would've thought to see a Biplane TF. That's just plain cool, if only because it's old school. Depthcharge is a warm welcome to the movieverse line. Can't wait for either of them!

  18. My apologies then. ^_^ I'm just coming from a mindset that adores cool sleek futuristic designs and I'm just not a big fan of steampunk or old timey designs along with classic G1. I actually do own a lot of G1s but when the 2007 movie came out I immediately loved the more realistic interpretations. Again, my apologies. ^_^

  19. Well if they're going to mention that some ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics are representations of TF's than maybe they'll show flashbacks. If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised to see flashbacks of other era's TF's so an old bi-plane TF may actually be in the movie.

  20. Biplane as a transformer? Who would want old machines to be transformers? By the way, has anybody link to page where is high resolution of these toys and their names?

This has been done already. One of the Transformers/GI Joe crossover comics took place in an alternate WWII setting where Cobra found the Decepticons and WWII versions of GI Joe found some Autobots in Europe

  22. as was mentioned way earlier, a fucking lawnmower woud be a sweet ass disques for a frenzy or someone like that, say the lawn mower at the white house using its sneakyness to hear the on-goings of the president. then think about that blade he'd have. narly

Ofcourse mister "center-of-the-universe", because if you don't want it, nobody want it, right...?

  24. Maybe there is a flashback to WWII/Pearl harbor with The Transformers.

  25. I love reading about WWI, so a biplane Transformer sounds awesome to me.

  28. His eyes look like they have heiroglyphics on them. Is this some kind of connection to the markings on Captain Witwicky's glasses? Hmmm...

Is this poster the Fallen or Megs reincarnated?

  34. It's hard to tell the name of the Boat but the Bi-Plane's name appears to be "RANSACK" as it is written in all CAPS.
