TF2 Optimus Prime Character Summary

TFormers.com has new image from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Leader class Optimus Prime toy that reveals the full character summary that the previous image cut off. The summary is further evidence that Megatron remains dead for the sequel.
With the destruction of Megatron, Optimus Prime thought he was finally, after millions of years, at peace. Little did he know that the escape of Starscream would draw dozens of new Decepticons to Earth. The desire that burns brightest in his spark is that the war will soon end. He is determined to see that end come, and so he works with his human comrades and the other Autobots to hunt the Decepticons that have come to Earth, and destroy them, one by one.

  1. Here's a concept that I don't think I've read anywhere, but wouldn't Starscream want Megatron to be dead? After all, he has spent several seasons of Transformers trying to find a way to knock him off or userp Megs. Why would he lead the Decepticons to revive Megatron when he wants the power for himself? If Megatron is revived, I'm more inclined to believe that the Autobots revive him to fight against the "Fallen" whom may have been awakened by Starscream and the rest of the Decepticons.

It's not G1, it's another universe, and Starscream don't have to be like in G1 if the writer doesn't whant to...

  3. But spectr it doesn't say Starscream returns to earth to revive megatron... and in the G1 series, yes he always wanted to be the one to lead the Decepticons.

But Still had hate for the Autobots, so in Transformers 2 Him returning to earth with Decepticons doesn't mean it's to revive Megatron, It's Just Starscream...being Starscream lol

I honestly hope Megatron returns... but not in Transformers 2, But Instead in Transformers 3.

  4. I don't see why that piece of text confirms that Megatron doesn't return? All I can read from is that Starscream returns to earth, which has been pretty obvious all along.

  5. I agree with Strandh, that piece of text is based on Prime's perspective which doesn't mean it has to be like that.

Some of you people posted nonsense here. Soundwave or someone else loyal to Megatron is an option to revive him and he must appear in the second movie as the mighty tank we could see earlier in concept photos in both robot and alt mode. His screentime in the first movie was too short.

  6. Yeah, it would have soooo much sense if Megatron would return, just like that, huh? What, so because Hasbro makes his toy, HE MUST be in the movie? Ever heard of doing something for "more money"? Kids like Megatron, they know who he is, so they will buy him, no matter if he is in the movie or not. Oh, and you know that he will be in IDW comic book, right? So there you have it, a commercial for his toy. The only reasen for him to be in second movie is fanboys "because i want him to be, boo hoo hoo".

    YES. YES. YES.
I really want to see Optimus kick some serious aft in this movie. I don't think the first movie did him or his awesomeness at the Autobot leader any justice at all. That's one good thing about Bay's movies, is that there will be plenty of aft-kicking...I just hope that Optimus and the other Autobots are the ones who get to hand out the punishment...personally, I want vengeance for Jazz...

Seriously, he was too sexy to kill off like that...I'm STILL pissed at Bay and the writers about that...SERIOUSLY pissed...

The fact that Bay constantly wears that hat with the Decepticon insignia makes me apprehensive about TF2, but I'll look past Bay's abominable taste in headwear and hope for the best.

  10. "I just hope that Optimus and the other Autobots are the ones who get to hand out the punishment"

With the amount of robots in this movie, I'm sure there will be many casualties on both sides.

    Trailer please!

  14. What I think happens, is The Fallen is either revived or awoken by Starscream (accidentally or not), which leads to either the Autobots reviving Megatron or the Decepticons doing so in order to help kill him. I believe that if they're planning on including Unicron in a third movie, The Fallen would be a perfect way to do so, since he was his Herald. Also, Megatron coming back ath the of TF2 would also be a good set up for the TF3, kinda like Barbosa in Pirates of The Carribbean. Unicron in a third movie would be a PERFECT way to complete a trilogy. However, they can carry this to a fourth because of the fans...
