Three Constructicon Video Reviews

Peaugh, Transformer reviewer extraordinaire, continues to get hold of those Revenge of the Fallen toys before anyone else. This time he reviews Voyager Mixmaster, Deluxe Rampage, and Voyager Demolisher. Note that these figures do not combine to form Devastator, which is an entirely different $100 toy that has the separate vehicle modes and the combined mode but not the individual robot modes. Thanks to Scorpio and other readers for the links.

  1. FIRST......anyway I like Mixmaster the best......

  2. Mixmaster's third mode looks kinda like a tank

  3. i wonder if MixMaster's 3rd mode will be in the movie. Although i highly doubt it

    ReplyDelete
  4. I doubt that any of the third modes will make it into the movie... I just don't.

Anyway,to Jedi Master Starkiller: Agree 100% and I like Demolisher second. I think that he will be miraculously killed by Prime in the first fight, and be resurrected as "Scavenger" to gather the smoking remains of dead Autobots (hence the definition of the word "scavenger"). I don't want to see the Twins die, I've always been open to them being included and I don't want to see them get killed off. But if Bay does like them, then that probably won't happen (poor Arcee )-:)

  5. If you ask me i think that it is obvious that one of the twins die. It would make the movie more amotional, and it would get the movie better ratings. just remember... someone has to die

    ReplyDelete
  6. think you mean "emotional"

the green guy, skindmarks whatever his name is, bio says he will do anything to be heroic, that sounded like he was going to die to me.

    ReplyDelete
  7. To BONECRUSHER ROLLING's comment.

Bay already said he's going to kill off Arcee (truth or a lie is to be debated). And plus he said be killed her off because he didn't like her and he has stated how much he like the twins. Just a thought.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ya but if Arcee dies that means they wouldnt combine unless, A.) Arcee isnt part of the combo (which i highly doubt). and B.) They all combine but at a point they disconnect and then Arcee is killed. or C.) They would not combine in THIS movie. But the only way i see the autobots standing a change against Devastator,Fallen, Megs and the other decept's is if they have more combiners, mabye you have the Prime and Jetfire Combo, then the possible Arcee,Chromia and the other motorcycle combine.

Oh ya and i think that what Bay said about Arcee dying, is just to distract fans from an ever bigger spoiler or something else... Im not really sure

  9. I've got a hunch that at least 2/3 of the Autobots will die in this one. Bumblebee and Ironhide are the most likely to stay alive I think because they have been developed the most next to Prime and they have fan bases with the non TransFans. Sadly this may mean the deaths of Jetfire, Sideswipe, and the Twins (eh screw Mudflap but NO to Skids!)

In TF3 the Autobots could be on the verge of extinction as with the human race and with Unicron ruling the universe, the future looks bleak. Then Bumblebee (or Ultra Magnus) discovers something more powerful than the AllSpark: The Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Enter Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime. There's your TF3 :)

    Lol.

  11. I know that the twins start the movie off combined together as an ice cream van. But what I find interesting is that then they both scan their alt modes and are in there new robot modes, 1 has an over sized right arm and the other has an over sized left arm. I'm starting to think that this movie is going to have way more combining than we think. Devastator and Prime/Jetfire, we know for sure. Acree and crew are still up in the air and I think that the Twins maybe, just maybe, may combine as well at some point after the the ice cream truck. Food for thought.

  12. @ SkidMudSwipe

That makes a lot of sense regarding the Demolisher/Scavenger thing. I always thought that Demolisher would get taken out by Prime at the beginning but I thought that Scavenger would be ANOTHER decepticon that steps in to fill his place. It never occurred to me that they may be the same per... err robot. That would explain that red guy that Bumblebee was kneeing in the chin in the ShoWest footage. I knew he could not be Rampage because he is yellow. But I know think that that is Scavenger. Whether Demolisher resurrected or another character is of course yet to be seen. What do you guys think?

  13. Did anybody notice that the commercial for the new cold activated cans for COORS LT is using(and I'm gonna catch hell for this cause I can't think of his name) the guy who lends his voice for Optimus Prime?? you could see the commercials alot during the NFL Draft and yes I watched every round for two days, what can I say home to the 1st ever 6 time NFL champs I had to our picks!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I just watched the ShoWest footage again. Thank God for RealPlayer. Anyway, I just noticed that Megan Fox has on leather before she starts to undress. Leather that looks a lot like Biker Leather. Maybe she does ride Acree, you'd think Bay would realize that misinformation won't work if you contradict yourself by putting things you said won't happen in your trailers

    ReplyDelete
  15. ^^^^^
Bay may have been telling the truth. Maybe instead of riding Arcee she is riding one of the other bike bots. I know there was a red bike a while ago (Whether it was a Transformer i cant remember)

When he did the combining thing in the Demolisher review it looked awesome. It proves how silly and money grabing hasbro was. Instead of giving you £100 of what you want they sell one £100 toy that doesnt form the individual modes and a set of Constructicons who all together cost £80 or so who dont form Devastator. I cant wait until the customs which will be released. Maybe i could buy what i want later . . .

Peaugh stealing my thunder. I've had my Rampage review up for a couple weeks now(I was the second person to post a review of Rampage)! I hate how people only watch reviews by popular reviewers! Watch mine! TornadoQuakeX on YouTube.

No offense Peaugh. I like to watch your RotF reviews so I can see what the new figures will be like, but I got rampage early so I could be the first person to review him and be cool like you. Sadly, someone else beat me to it and now your review is up and I feel like no one is paying attention to me. I have a few other TF reviews up, but they only have a handful of views. Maybe this whole reviewer thing just isn't my thing. Or maybe I'm just new and people need to know my name better.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is fake!

    Just kidding. :)

Haven't watched the videos yet, but I'm going to. I'm bummed that the transforming toys themselves don't combine, but I knew that's how it was going to be anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I do wonder if in the movie if they're going to have Phase 1 and Phase 2 like they did in Generation 1. It would be quite cheesy though, now that I think about it. Just combine and kick some butt already!

Scorp, I just thought of this. To me the writers made a mess with TF 1 regarding Blackout, Bonecrusher & Brawl ( which was misspelled as Devastator).

If they had just stuck with calling Blackout as Vortex, have Bonecrusher's name changed to Swindle & add Blast Off as a jet fighter & have Onslaught as that Decepticon from the game (with the missile launchers) then we'd already have the Combaticons in TF 1! & Bruticus to boot!

Then Bonecrusher's name would've been preserved for the 2nd movie & Devastator wont be confused with Brawl's original name anymore.

    Just my 2 cents.

Are you saving, It is not Demolisher that is a part of Devastator, It is Scavenger?

If so I think a couple of people has already said that.

  25. yeah demolishor is not a constructicon

  26. @TornadoQuakeX,

we have seen Rampage reviews a long time before this one, but they had bad camera work and no voice overs. so its a pleasure to finally get a Peaugh review.

@Scorpio: Thanks! I'll be sure to let you know of any new reviews I put up. Although most of the new figures have been reviewed already. =\ also, I don't plan on getting anymore early figures. There's only about a month left until they are released and it takes about 3 weeks to get one in the mail if it's from China, so at this point it isn't worth all the extra money.

@Anonymous: I know exactly the video you're referring to. I had forgot about that youtuber, but like you said, they had just dubbed music over their video. It never was a real review.

Awesome idea unfortunately they messed it up and they didnt combine :( Hopefully we will have Bruticus in the third along with (Or replacing) Devastator :)

  31. we know some times they are calling it scavenger, but we suspect its a mix up.

problem is we have never seen anything official, its always suspect, like your image above.

best argument for Scavenger is the red guy bumblebee fights in the show west footage.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Pickleforthepeople4/27/2009 11:49 AM

People please. We wont know if Demolisher is part of Devastator until the film. Scavenger was originally just a homage to the original constructicons however it went wrong (Sort of like the name mixup with Brawl)

Bay liked Demolisher as a name better than Scavenger seeing as a giant robot destroying stuff shouldnt really be called Scavenger (After something that quietly follows its prey)

Rounding all this stuff up . . .

Demolisher is a RH400. Scavenger is a RH400. Why are they exactly the same (And dont complain about the paint job because they had the same mixup with movie rampage (When he was red) Demolisher is a constructicon. The name Scavenger came from a small name tag on the side of Demolishers small vehicle mode from Supreme Devastator. Case well and truely solved. He is called Demolisher in the Comic, Prequel and the voyager toy. If he is called Scavenger then all that stuff is wrong surely it would be better to just say the Supreme Devastator model is lame and wrong rather than ruin an already set up fan base.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think we've uncovered a Bay-spiracy. Scavenger and Demolishor are really the 'twins' that are constantly referred to. They started off as Autobots, but when they discovered during an orgy with other Constructicons that they could form Devastator, they defected. Demolishor was originally the cod-piece but Prime kills him in Tokyo. That's why Devastator is so ticked off, because he no longer has a crotch!

    Heard it here first.

I'm sorry, I'm really tired and I just wasted way more brain cells typing that than I should have. Happy Monday!

  40. Alright everyone, you have spoken much about that Demolishor and Scavenger thing. I have found out the truth and tried to say it for many people:
This is link to image from trailer where Demolishor appears:
    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3378/3248786586_c6852090bf_o.jpg
And this is link to Devastator's CGI image:
    http://www.transformers-movie-buzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/devastator-cgi-render.jpg
Those RH400 excavators are painted differently. Terex and O&K are two creators of those excavators. O&K's painting style is used on that Devastator's component and Terex's painting style is used on Demolishor's excavator mode. This confirms the truth.

  42. except that deavastor image is from the video game.
    not the movie.

which i would would use similar but different textures to begin with.
so you didn't really confirm anything.

  43. got carried away with my "woulds" there, must have been on drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Rampage being red may be a victim of not yet done editing. Some one else reported that in the scene where Prime is jumping over Galvatron (I call him that get over it) n the bottom left corner you can see the set/stage and camera crew (yet to be edited out). ILM is still working on robot image according to Bay so this is how that could work.

Devastator is very likely to die in the first fight and be replaced by Scavenger. This means Sideways could go into hiding and come back out to hail Unicron. This makes sense seeing how the R8 wasn't in Egypt or most of the other locations.

I still don't want to see the twins go :( but I don't want them to be remembered as twins. Bring in Sunstreaker for the love of crap

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes, thank you, Scorpio. It was a quick rant. It was actually kind of a sarcastic observation with social commentary pointing out how silly the whole argument is about the difference between Demolishor and Scavenger. I've seen more than one piece of artwork posted on this very site that indicates that there are two different characters. Not to mention the fact that there was already a huge naming discrepancy in TF1, so nothing can really be verified until the movie comes out.

My feeling is that there will be the whole fight with Demolishor, and then later on at the pyramids, there will be a bunch of non-descript construction vehicles sitting around that will all of a sudden come to life to form Devastator. There won't be any character profiling or probably very much attention called to the fact that there's another, separately-named excavation vehicle that's forming Devs.

  47. I agree with you Anon. TheChief isn't wrapped to tight. As far as can tell we were getting eachothers opinions on the whole demolisher/scavenger thing, not arguing about. I think he just likes to play Mr. KnowItAll and get worked up over things for no reason. Maybe some one needs to give him a bottle and send him to bed.

Although because of this discussion the Anonymous above your post started insulting people on the blog. Friendly chit chat is okay but at the moment nothing is for sure. Hell Bay could change Devastators film name to Sally if he wanted to :) but nothing will be confirmed until after the film.
