Las Vegas Luxor Transformed

It looks like the marketing team for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen figured out how to top the first movie's launch of its marketing campaign going by the photos that Seibertron.com posted.

Why cover a building if you can cover the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The entire pyramid is going to become one giant billboard for the movie. As the images show, it is still under construction but when its done it is probably going to look like the Optimus Prime poster only I imagine that the Egyptian pyramid will be removed since the Luxor makes a good stand-in. Thanks to p00p m0nsta for the link.

  7. I'm guessing there will be other transformers on the sides so the whole title will be there or there will be some kind of backdrop. That is a stellar move what better way to show of Transformers Revenge of Fallen then on a pyramid. I think that's a first. I get why they did it too since I believe a good portion of this movie takes place in Egypt. Really looks cool wish I could see it in person.

  8. I stayed there a few years ago. I wonder if that poster is transparent. That would suck to rent one of the rooms and your window was covered with it. Since these are wiindows to rooms, I dought they would hang anything massive off of it. Christ, I can see it now. An 80 year old women checks in at night and then has heart attack when she wakes up ans sees a big robot outside her window... Maske a good headline though for marketing...

  9. Hmmm. Remember the TF2 treatment from last year? The Luxor was a major plot point in that version of the sequel. Starting to think it was more legitimate than we previously thought...

The banners they put on the Luxor are see-through. I've stayed there a few times and once they had a banner on the front for somthing they were promoting. It covered our window, but didnt effect the view. It was like having a slight tint on the glass. If you get really close to the banner, its actually covered with tiny holes.

  12. What makes it even cooler is that at night a beam of light shines into the sky from the top.

No have a huge Devastator poster on a Skyscraper nearby.

I wonder if they will have the poster of Jetfire we all heard about?
