Transformers 2 Tickets On Sale Now

In the United States, the pre-order sales for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen tickets are for sale as of now. Earlier then expected, but I doubt anyone will complain. I just bought my IMAX tickets for 12:01AM for 6/24/09. Depending on the website there might be a convience charge (Fandango charged $2 per ticket) so be sure to noticed those details before purchasing. Thanks to zloty and others for the heads-up.

  1. I bought my tickets last night and the showtime says 12:01am the evening of Tue, Jun. 23rd 2009. I'm confused, would it be Tuesday at midnight or Wednesday at midnight. I thought the movie didn't open until the 24th.

  10. No, offense. But seeing the day it comes out is kinda unwise. If you see it in the IMAX then yo have to get there 30 to 40 minutes before it starts if you want a good seat. My mom always buys our tickets on the internet before we go so we can sit down before the previews start. I know I'm gonna see it on the IMAx but not the day it comes out!

I like going opening night because of the atmosphere. I went to the first movie on opening night and its great to sit there with people that are as excited about the movie as me. People in the theater went crazy when Barricade transformed in mid-stride and chased Bumblebee because that's what we were all waiting for. I went back a week later and that same feeling was gone. You could tell afterward that people liked the movie, but there were no cheers or applause during the movie. So I go on opening night because it's an EVENT.

  17. I agree with the statement above about the EVENT.

When you know you're going to see it multiple times, you watch it first just for the cheers and applause and all of that. The second and third time (or in my case the 10th-13th) you're watching it purely to enjoy it while it lasts in the theaters.

I hate to say but a really dedicated fan goes that far. They don't wait for the DVD. They want the big social theater experience. The same can be said of fans of Star Wars, Star Trek, or Harry Potter.

Or dare I say... Titanic. haha :)

  18. I got mine for 11:59 for June 24 and I got reserved seating at the Megaplex! SO excited!

  19. Dont know what the excitement was about barricade transforming...It was way 2 fast thru the whole movie. Now when bb took sam and mikaela to see optimus and the rest of the autobots in the alley,THAT WAS MORE LIKE IT!!!!!

  20. I think the deal with that scene with barricade and bb was that it was so much like the cartoons. Remeber how the autobots would transform while running to give chase (or escape as they seemed to do a lot)? Well that scene in the movie was just so much like that. The scene in the alley was awesome, but many of us were waiting for scenes that were similar to the cartoon.

  23. Scorpio, Mcat is just fooling around, there were no new autobot shown in the trailers nor tv spots!!

  24. @Scorp
I wasn't kidding about Moonracer. If you watch the trailer where Acree and the other bots are jumping over Sideways and what not you'll see an unnamed, as of right now, autobot in mid air. That is Moonracer. I just can't get official confirmation yet.
