Over at TrekMovie, the writing team provided their "acceptance comments":
Bob: I’d like to thank my partners Alex and Ehren who really lead the way on this one.

Alex: I wouldn’t be in a position to receive this award without Ehren and Bob. They really deserve most of the credit.

Ehren: As you know, Bob and Alex were the experts on this movie having written the first one, and I was just lucky to be able to be a part of this award winning team.

  3. i agree....the movie would deserve an oscar for sound and maybe other technical categories....but the razzies are well deserved! it was so easy to make a good action flick outta this one....still they srewed up! of course some of the scenes are great and entertaining....but compared to the overall feel, story and character-development of the first one, the second one sucks a**! out!

  4. @benizzle: Avatar is pure garbage and it's praised as the best sci-fi movie ever when actually its CGI is so cartoonish that a console video game looks better... Going around telling that Transformers2 sucks it's just plain stupid because it's simply not true. It has some flaws better to say hiccups caused by missing scenes that were probably even filmed but couldn't get finalized on time but it's far from a bad movie for sure, it still deserves no less than a straight 8.0 rating.
Avatar it's just marketing garbage instead, it doesn't deserve anything more than a 3.0 unless it was marketed as a little kid 3D cartoon and then it would deserve a 5.5

  7. Let's stay on point people. No where in these postings is Avatar mentioned yet people continue to bash Avatar as if it somehow lessens the mess that was ROTF. It doesn't. I enjoyed ROTF but it really was a mess! I bought the dvd, have watched it a couple of times and have no issues with my support of the film or people bashing me for it. Tell you what, if it will help heal the wounds you feel bash me then.

  8. Just live with it you RotF fanboys. It's a bad movie. Fun, but bad.

  9. Transformers2 RoTF is not a mess at all. It has hiccups but far less than most praised by marketing bribes movies. Telling that Transformers2 is a bad movie it's just a poor silly statement simply because it is not.
Avatar instead is a very bad movie, it's no more than a video game thanks to its low quality unrealistici cartoonish CGI which would be good enough for a 3D cartoon for kids but it's just silly for a sci-fi live action movie, its use of 3D is nothing better than any other movie instead watching it in 2D doesn't change anything really and then characters and plot are just so pathetic with no feelings.. that is a mess. Still people rushed to watch it just because the marketing bribes told them to do so as much as the same bribes paid to bash Transformers2 as much as they were paid to bash the first Transformers movie for no real reason and too many people just trust marketing lies instead of using their own brains to judge.
Telling that Avatar is an excellent movie it's just repeating the lies that marketing guys told you to repeat, if you want to be a slave and not think by yourself then go ahead and bash Transformers movies just becuase the majority of so called professional critics got paid to bash the movie and tell you to bash it as much as they got paid to praise Avatar which is just garbage instead.
It's like all the bashing against Watchmen movie.. another excellent movie got destroyed by critics which flopped at box office for no real reason at all, it has some minor flaws but then what? It's still a very very good and strong movie for adults mainly and still the majority of people trusted paid reviewers and critics causing the movie to flop badly at box office.
Or what about 007 Quantum Of Solace? Yes, it's not as good as CasinĂ² Royale mainly becuase it's way shorter, too short, but then what? It's still a very good strong movie with some really amazing action scenes and a good plot, still in the US it flopped but fortunately it got enough money from rest of the world to warrant another movie with the same cast and avoid a surely not needed reboot.
Transformers2 is better than Watchmen and Quantum Of Solace and still people keep bashing it, fortunately it managed to be a success at box office first and DVD/Blu-Ray disc sales after than, fortunately there are still more people using their own brains to judge Transformers movies than those being enslaved to think what competitors marketing dept bribes pay to force you to think and so bash a movie that doesn't deserve any bashing.

  10. wow New moon don't get an award. that movie was much bigger shit than ROTF. that's just wrong

  11. I just watched 2012. I have to say THAT was a bad movie. Do away with the amazing special effects, it really was a bad movie! I didn't feel any particular sense of impending threat or sense of duty or adventure in watching it.

Now use that in comparison to ROTF and I think maybe 2012 should've gotten the Razzies.

  12. We're all entitled to our opinion and we should always appreciate that. I'm glad ROTF was so successful financially as this is why we have Transformers 3 to look forward to.
I'll stick with my opinion of ROTF - a mess. There were certainly some high points but there were quite a few low points; over use of The twins and wheelie, farting Jetfire,under-use of Jolt-Ratchet-Ironhide-Sideswipe, contructicons running around after Devastator formed, Starscream dissapearing again during the final battle, decepticons at first trying to capture Sam only to try and destroy him after he is in possesion of the coveted Matrix, Sam not using the splinter to revive Prime. This movie had a lot of potential, tt could have been great but...there were simply too many plot holes. I certainly enjoyed it, but I won't be fooling myself into thinking it was any more than a "good" movie.

  13. razzies are just people that have nothing better to do than critic movies

  14. The Razzie's are a joke and a lame excuse for an award show. Let's not forget that this is the same "award show" that nominated Stanley Kubrick for worst director for "The Shining."

How could anyone take them seriously after that?

  15. I love how far you idiots will take defending your fandom. ROTF deserved every jab it got. It was a pretty-looking mess with a rushed script and recycled visuals. Like a fast food burger that's been stepped on, rained on and pissed on, then picked up and doused with sprinkles and re-sold. You'd have to be an idiot to even begin to think that it dominated Avatar in any way.

As derivative as the script for Avatar was, at least that had some soul to it. Bayformers is nothing more than unappealing, superficial metallic mush and the only good thing it managed to produce was interesting and complex robot designs. Bay doesn't care about the series he's adapting, he just wants a fat paycheck, and tbh, there are plenty of occupations to chose from if money is your sole motivation...

  16. I love Sandra Bullock! I've been a fan of her since Demolition Man and Speed!

  17. saying that rotf is like a fast food burger being stepped on is cruel, especially if it's not true

I liked the movie very much and watched it serveral times, and I will rewatch it again.

revenge of the fallen would have deserved much more oscars (at least nominations).
at the other hand, I don't care anymore about oscars and rezzies, both are fake.

  18. I don't care either about the what the Awards shows did to the movie. in the end, it still entertained me and still does.

The razzies are a joke anyway. Is 2012 a good movie to them?

heck everybody knows, and most will agree even here that the worst movie of 2009 was Dragonball Evolution. That COMPLETELY ruined everything that some fans held a mock funeral at a theater.

Mock Bay and this movie all you want but Evo crapped in the face of the fans HARD.

THAT should have been everything ROTF got here, buy hey, is the one of the top grossing films of 2009, so they go the easy way and bash Bay and Co.

TF was always campy and fun, the G1 cartoons are proof of that. And any real fan will acknowledge that all 3 TF movies upset them anyway in some form.

  19. Let's get back on point... Sandra Bullock is awesome for showing up and being such a great sport. This is why people love her. She is just a normal gal who gets to play pretend for a job and she seems to really appreciate that fact.

  20. Oh no! Someone says TF2 is stupid! What can i possible do?!
