TF3 in Gary, Epps Retired?

Leslie Adkins/Post-TribuneWhile not really sure how Transformers 3 spent the weekend, we at least now know they were in Gary, Indiana once again on Monday filming scenes "inside the crumbling City Methodist Church." According to the Post-Tribune, Michael Bay was directing Tyrese Gibson and others (probably NEST), as they "argued about the alien robot war erupting around them."

Really nothing major revealed but a rather odd note from the article identified a change for Tyrese's character as he was called "Retired Master Sgt. Ray Epps." No idea what this means considering we know the character is in the middle of the action and spotted wearing NEST costumes. Does this mean NEST is no longer part of the US military?

  1. well in the 2nd movie they disbanded NEST as apart of the US Military after Optimus died & the Fallen aired his message. Thats why they dropped the guy off the plane in the first place. They went against orders to help out in Egypt.

  2. Sure they're not part of the US assholes army or navy this people from NEST are the new S7 "sector 7" remenber that Jhon Torturo is back so maybe they all work together to fight the decepticons.

  6. Or in the movie Epps begins as a retired sergeant but returns to USA military to defeat Decepticons.

  7. i think 'retired' word is just like term 'veteran'. He is still Master Sergeant in army, but the nickname 'retired' means he's a veteran, a soldier with long experience, but still would serve in military.

  8. In the pics form the set iv seen of Tyrese in costume its obvious hes not wearing a NEST uniform, hes got a short sleeve shirt on with a vest over it kinda like he was just thrown in the fight

  9. I think I may have called this back when we first saw him on set, but I'm not sure I ever posted it or not.

Epps is wearing what looks like the CTA uniform, or for those not from Chicago, The Chicago Transit Authority. But it is the uniform of the train drivers not bus drivers.

  10. I was on the crew in Gary. T3 was on break Thurs-Sun cuz Bay was shooting a Victoria Secret commercial. Epps' scene was listed as Dusk on Day 8/8 on the call sheet, so it's at the very end of the movie.

  11. Oh, and above commentor. Just because its filmed at a different time doesnt mean its the end of the movie.

After the destruction of the pyramids and the devastation caused by the TF`s N.E.S.T was disbannded. I reckon he was probably trying to settle down after TF:ROTF and now he has returned because of Decepticon attacks on people.

The time of day isn't what means the end of the movie, Day 8/8 (or day 8 of 8) is. It means the movie will take place over an 8 day period and that scene takes place on the 8th day, hence the end of the movie.

  13. @"Anonymous 8/18/2010 2:55 PM"--So Transformers3 would span thru just an 8-days period,uh? So.. the scene you claim was listed as Dusk and why do you think Day 8/8 really means movie time day 8 of 8, uh? So why using Dusk name for the scene?

  15. It's nice to know that Michael Bay can find time to shoot Victoria's Secret commercials in between city setups. ^_^

To dumb-ass anon who think day8/8 is at the end of the movie: How dumb are you? The movie only spans over 8 days??? Day 8/8 means the end of the shooting in Gary!!! Not the end of the movie!!!

And for god sakes people, use a name when you comment, then we know who we talk to.
