TF3 Detroit: Saturday with Optimus

Saturday morning was quiet at the Packard Plant in Detroit. Chances are they were filming elsewhere. J1000 and his son went by and snapped the below pictures (thanks!) of Optimus Prime and a better look at the Decepticon SUV's with insignias and government license plates. I assume the plates have a purpose related to the plot, maybe an extension of the Department of Health and Human Services involvement (or cover) revealed in Chicago.

On a related note, TFormers has posted some images from salemd3 that show the same 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS that was part of a scene being filmed at the MPEA Busway in Chicago back in July. In the video, the car is seen driving calmly towards what everyone else was running away from. So far no indicates if a Transformer alt mode but this does seem to indicate it is part of the vehicle "cast" in some form or fashion. There is also a rumor of a 1960's scene being filmed in Detroit that may involve the vehicle but nothing to verify that yet.

  1. okay i am debating whether the armoured truck or the suv is soundwaves alt mode both have potential as soundwave is meant to gather intel and he was an suv in both war for cybertron and transformers animated but who knows...

  2. My big question now is who is the tuner style Impala SS? At this point it is as good a guess a con as a bot.

  3. Whoa, 4 SUV with goverment license plate and decepticon's logo? Is that mean somebody in US government (presumably) is helping the decepticons?

  4. Mmmh perhaps the Chevelle SS is the 60's vehicle form of the EinsteinBot...i mean, he's old and probably he know what's happen in the 60's.
And perhaps he change his form in the blue Mercedes.

  7. An impressive theory. Consider that the TFilm comics NEFARIOUS stated that there were many robots hiding on Earth since the dawn of time, and TFilm2's Jetfire might not be the only robot who stayed on Earth...

This aspect would be examined more in the new TFilm comic SECTOR 7, which will feature cameos from Jetfire and the Einsteinbot!

I'm guessing the other 2 Suburbans are "stuntdubbles" for the other 2, they will probably get banged up in stunts later on.

  10. There is still that rumored rubber framed Suburban from the first news story. Some stunt that involves being dropped from a crane or higher up.

A cameo of the Einsteinbot in Sector7? Really?
I've just see the cover of Nefarious...(the cover with a mad man like Dr.Arkeville).Now who are this man? Could it be that the Allspark have transform him in a strange TF like...the Einsteinbot?
