Transformers 3 Principle Photography Wraps

Tyrese Gibson has tweeted that Transformers: Dark of the Moon has officially wrapped principle photography today in Los Angeles.

His first tweet (around 11am EST) on the subject said:
I'm up. On set with what we all hope to be on the last day of filming of Transformers 3. I will keep you updated!!
This was followed five hours later with:
Confirmed::: Today will be last day of shooting Transformers 3.. Yippy!! God is the greatest .. We made!! Fans we won't let you down!!
Finally at about 8:50pm EST, he made it official:
Ladies and Gents we have officially wrapped the filming of Transformers 3! Cheers to my cast and entire crew! We did it baby!! God bless u!
Congrats to the cast and crew of Transformers 3 for their long and eventful shoot. Now the post-production process begins with editing the film, sound, Industrial Light & Magic and Digital Domain doing their CGI magic and much more. The actors may be done but Bay and company still have a lot more work ahead of them. Thanks to Feris and Ann for the heads-up.

  3. The first ROTF teaser was the 30 Superbowl, but it premiered the night before on the internet. :) So hopefully we will get a teaser by than!!! :D

  5. If they didn't start adding CGI while Bay was still filming for all the scenes he approved on the fly then they won't have enough time to complete everything with the added 3D gimmick thing too which means a lot more calculus to be crunched by chains of super servers at ILM and Digital Domain HQs.

  7. transformers 4,villan confirmed,yes

  8. Stop it with this "Transformers 4" nonsense. They are still working on the third, there is no script for a fourth, no has there been ANY preproduction done. As of right now, there is NO TRANSFORMERS 4! Delphine Chaneac is just trying to get some attention to herself.

  10. Transformers 3 has just finished shooting, so why the HELL would they even be thinking about Transformers 4 yet? I'm sorry if I offend anyone, you have to be dumb to think the studio would jump that far ahead.

  11. finally!

Now began the countdowns for the trailer!

  12. Well, why wouldnt they allrdy atleast have a plan if they are amking transformers 4? its not unheard of too plan ahead in good time..

Take avatar for example (god i hate this movie)
But they havent even started filming or anything for Avatar 2 but they have still allrdy planned for Avatar 3 aswell WAY ahead of time.

  13. That's because from the start of the production, James Cameron stated that he wanted Avatar to be a trilogy, and with the alleged 10+ years of preparation he must have some idea as to what he wants for the other two movies.

I also hate that movie :).

  15. Transformers3 is going to underperform quite badly. Transformers4 will not happen and a reboot will be scheduled in a 3-4 years time.

  17. a- i agree with the people who want the trailer; bring it on!

b- the people who are talking about TF4, i'm not calling you an idiot, so much as saying don't jump the gun. maybe you've been a fan of the series since '07 and want a fourth movie, but bay has said 3 is the last.

  18. Folks, they just wrapped yesterday. There's no way in hell they're going to have a trailer soon. This whole 3D thing adds more worktime when it comes to processing the effects. I recall Bay doing color correction all the way up to and during the Tokyo premiere.

Also, on another topic, just curious: to those that say they hated Avatar, just curious as to WHY?

  19. @Sablebot@tfw2005.com

I can't speak for everyone, but the major reason I disliked Avatar was because the storyline was so generic. If Cameron was sitting on a movie plot for 10+ years, I would think he would come up with something better than "Space Pocahontas". Although I can say I appreciate the artistic value of the movie.

    In short, graphics=good
    plot=bad

  20. One, they are already working on the CGI before they finish filming, other wise they would never finish it. They have animatics to work from and are sent filming as they complete it. The teaser will likely be around the Super Bowl just like TF ROTF. Could be earlier for Tron at Christmas just because it's the big 3D film and they want the 3D trailer to go out. We'll see soon though so get excited everybody the waiting is the most fun part!

  28. Correct me if I"m wrong here, did any international filming take place? I stopped following this blog after the DC filming because it was said the international filming would be kept secret. I also was understanding that DC was the last USA filming location but looking at the past couple of blog posts, it seems like then went from DC to LA and are now done. Did something change? Sorry if I missed anything.

  29. The only confirmed news on a possible fourth film is that Michael bay isnt planning to do one. I expect if a fourth film happens it will be a reboot. Would any fan honestly want this currently film series to continue with shia labeouf? And his charecters future wife, Carly?

  30. Some of us are looking forward to see it.
We'll see the tralier around anytime soon; I'll say is May or June but we'll see.
I hope Bumblebee is in good shape with his new things and colored.
And I always look forward to see Optimus Prime again; I bet he looks wonderful.
