Linkin Park and Transformers 3 Hints Continue

In an interview with LPTimes.com, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park drops another hint that the band is working with Michael Bay on the soundtrack for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. As this site reported early this year, there was a possibility that "Burning in the Skies" from A Thousand Suns would make the cut and be released as a single around when the movie comes out. Bennington stopped short of confirming the partnership but it seems highly likely considering Linkin Park had singles on the previous two films. (via TF2005, thanks to Sahara for link)
RY: Are you working on the soundtrack for Transformers: Dark of the Moon?
CB: I don’t know if I’m at liberty to tell you yet [winks]. But it looks promising. I think we go hand in hand with those films. A lot of our younger fans call us the Transformers band.

  4. Don't know if anybody else noticed but another band that has had a song in each film is The Used. Been a fan of them since way before Transformers came out so hoping they get one in DOTM :)

  5. Yeah I've been thinking about that, Jichael. Hopefully The Used will do another song for TF. Taking Back Sunday has been in both recent soundtracks before.

  6. They are behind schedule for sure.. at this time the soundtrack CD was already available for pre-ordering on Amazon with the first two movies.. so far still no pre-ordering and no release date for either soundtrack and the score.

  7. I love the way Avenged Sevenfold made it onto the ROTF soundtrack even though the song wasn't in the film at all :P

  8. I'm not as excited about the newer LP cd. I hope they come up with something new for DOTM. ND and WID were great songs. Not hearing anything comparable on the newer CD.

  9. Hopefully this will send Linkin Park back into the more Rap/Rock mentality that made them famous. I like the versatility they are showing on their new CD, but its jut not my kind of music. I wish they would go back to the style of Hybrid Theory and Meteora. I just can't realy see any of the songs off their new album as TF3 soundtrack/title song worthy. Maybe, MAYBE the Catalyst, but it came out as a single so long ago. We'll just have to wait and see what they do.
