Hasbro Trademarks Reveals Likely Transformers 4, Video Games Titles

Yesterday we heard of three possible Transformers 4 titles that frankly just didn't feel right. However, TFW2005's search of the United States Patent and Trademark Office did turn up a title that does feel right. Especially considering it fits the title pattern of the previous movies and invoke the now officially confirmed TF cast addition of the Dinobots without mentioning them by name.

Transformers: Age of Extinction

In addition three titles from the Video Game category were found that includes a bit of a spoiler.
- Spirits Rising (patent ID)
- Megatron Returns (patent ID)
- Autobots Rising (patent ID)

In addition, a WHOIS search indicates that the TransformersAgeOfExtinction.com was bought by MarkMonitor on August 16, two weeks before those other domains. We still have to wait for official confirmation from Hasbro or Paramount Pictures but this one sounds right. So what do you think of the unconfirmed title?

  1. "Megatron Returns" does not sound so bad. And why? Could you ever imagine Optimus Prime having any other main enemy?

  3. enough megatron returns nonsense, megs is dead let him stay dead although he could return as galvatron which would be interesting.Age of extinction sounds perfect exspecialy with the dinobots being introduced and it does seem like Bay is going in a different direction which is welcomed by me. Lets hope its AGE OF EXTINCTION!!! sounds awesome.

    1. TF: AoE, is going to come out first before Avengers 2, therefore it will look like Avengers 2 have 'copied' Transformers.

  6. Sounds really cool! A god while ago they said something about Trans4mers. I hope the title will be Transformers: Age Of Extinction, and that it'll not contain 'Trans4mers'.

I think he was pointing out the similarity to the avengers 2 title as both start with the word “age”. What’s ridiculous is your spelling.

Shockwave from DOTM, is also one of the sub villains back in Transformers 4, back to back with Cyclonus.

    1. Do you have any proofs?

    2. I heard about this as well. Apparently Shockwave is in 'disable' mode until he fixes his eye again or something.

    3. That would very plausbible. I thought Shockwave was 'killed off' far to easy, that's just not right. You just can't kill a TF if you take someone's eye out and that first blow from Optimus also didn't killed him either.
It would be cool to see Shockwave redeem himself. Maybe Bay follows the comic story, where Shockwave first will resurrect and then he creates the Dinobots.

    4. That sounds too similar from TF:Prime, where Shockwave repaired himself from wounds Arcee caused on him, and created the Predacons.

    5. But then again, not many people watch TF: Prime, unlike the Bay film series.

    6. Another Spoiler!!

I am not much of Transformers Fan, but I was down at one of TF sets the other day and I over heard one of the crew talking about a character named 'Knock-Out' and how he had to take on Bumblebee for that scene or something. I think it was Knock out, but not entirely sure. To be honest, I don't even know if 'Knock-Out' is even a character....anyways, just wanted to help you TF Fans out.

Over at imdb, it is said that Megatron is the 2014 Freightliner Argosy cab-over truck. :)

    8. I wonder if the Aston Martin Vanquish seen the other day could be Knock Out. What Day were you down there?

      Delete
    9. Yes I believe so. The Aston Martin was on set. I think he was referring to the Aston Martin as Knock Out. The only other cars on set at the time were the green corvette and Bugatti.
