Images and Video from Transformers 4 LaSalle Shoot

In addition to filming at a church, Sunday also including some scenes in Chicago's LaSalle Street area for Transformers: Age of Extinction. Its not really known what was filmed but as the images and video taken by Rob Reines show, it did seem to involve the Autobot fleet. The first images show the fleet part on the side of the road. While hard to tell, the white Camaro in the 2nd pic is parked in front of the Optimus Prime truck in the 1st pic. The car does seem to be part of production in some form or fashion as Rob noticed the car was getting the same special care as the Autobot vehicles with a wipedown to keep its shine. Since both 'Bees were there, I am wondering if 'Bee scans the white one to update himself from the '67 to 2014 Camaro. After the break is his video from the street with Prime cab taking a quick and doing a careful u-turn.

  1. Wonder what the two cars are that are covered....and lets start to see some other stuff not just the Autobots

    1. Bugatti and Corvette, of course. Can't you see their shapes. They've been covered like that before.

    2. I wonder who the White Camaro is. The Vintage 67' and the 2014 Yellow Camaro is obviously Bumblebee, but I doubt Bee would go for a white colour scheme. The only other Transformer that comes to mind is Cliffjumper.
Any one else have any ideas?

    3. The one under dark green cover is the Green Corvette Stingray & the one under the lighter green cover is either the Pagani Huayra or the Cadillac Cien Concept Car.

  2. I know Drift is said to be in the movie. I also know many seem to think he's the Bugatti. However, what if Drift is actually the white Camaro? In the color schemes I've seen for Drift, he's basically white with a few small patches of red on him. If one goes by which current paint schemes resembles which Autobot the most, the white Camaro is closest to Drifts actual coloring. Even his alt mode more closely resembles that of a Camaro or Corvette (even tho he's a Nissan), than it does a Bugatti. That's just my personal observation.

    1. Remember that all characters do not have one and same color scheme in all continuities (except for Optimus and Bumblebee).

    2. Oh, I know. Look at the many colors that Ratchet has been. We also had a silver Sideswipe instead of his usual red. Of course, red doesn't always show up well onscreen and we already had both Optimus and Dino (and Mudflap) wearing red. Then we had Ironhide who was black instead of red. Holy Slag, there's alot of red Bots, lol.
I just thought with some bringing up color schemes, it made for an interesting possibility.

    3. If Pagani is an Autobot, we have one red Autobot more. But These red bot have differences of course. Dino was purely red. Mudflap was orange-red. And Optimus is RED AND BLUE. By the way, you forgot one red bot from DOTM: Leadfoot.

    4. Oops, my bad. You're right about the different shadings. I was watching a clip from the videos above, and the Pagani was driving with the rest of the Bots. I saw pics a few days ago, of the Lambo with the Bots. I don't think we're really gonna know whose allegiance lies where, until we get closer to the beginning of 2014. I still think there's going to be as many Bots in this movie as there were in the last one. There were at least a dozen Bots last movie ( Optimus, Sideswipe, Bee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Dino, Leadfoot, Roadbuster, Topspin, Que,Brains and Wheelie). In the second movie there were thirteen at least (Optimus, Sideswipe, Bee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Jolt, Skids, Mudflap, Arcee, Chromia, Elita-1 and later on Wheelie and Jetfire). Going by the pics I've seen so far, it looks like there's going to be just as many Bots in this new movie. We haven't even gotten to the Cons yet.

  3. There's a video above that shows the 67 Camaro speeding past the 2014 Camaro. I took that as 67 Bee scanning the 2014 Camaro to upgrade his alt form. Which then still leaves the mysterious white Camaro. I tried to see if I could read the Bots plates (the ones we haven't had official confirmation/introductions of) to see if the plated would give any clues as to who they may be. The Pagani doesn't have one, I couldn't rally make out the Corvette and I dont think the Bugatti has one either.

This is the 2nd time we see they have both Camaro's on set. I think this is for,
a: Bay thought of a better scanning scene than the filmng we saw a few weeks ago, but I doubt that, bc that was filmed under another road, like a tunnel. And that delivers a much more awesome scanning scene, bc of the lighting, like in TF1. But maybe Bay thought, that it looked to similar to the scene in TF1.
Or b: there is something entirely else going on with the 2 Camaro's.

I think the white Camaro is only there for promotional reasons, to advertise for the car, to sell next year, bc that is the actual 2014 Camaro. Imo it looks 100x times better the yellow concept.
Maybe when Bee scans the yellow concept, it first drives by the official white Camaro.

  5. Because of the fact that the 67 and 2014 Concept have been on set at a few locations now I really think they are 2 different characters. Personally I think the 67 would make a pretty bad ass Grimlock. Yes, its been confirmed that the 67 is B, but miss information is Bay's game. I kinda think the 67 fits Grimlock a little better, and please to say, oh he has to be a T-Rex. It's robots in disguise, not robots in alt modes that stick out like a live dinosaur in downtown Chicago.

I kinda think the white one is a character's car and not a character car, like how Sam had a Datsun, or could even be for a promotional shoot. Not really sure what to think of it, but they did baby it like the others.

    1. There is NO WAY the Dinobots are cars, trucks, etc. Wouldn't make any sense. I think the journey/adventure is in to activating them again since they crash landed on earth.

    2. Maybe the 67 and 2014 Camaro's were used for different scenes.
As for the White Camaro, I think it is a Transformer, not because it has been spotted with the Autobots, but it has tinted windows. My main guess is that it is Cliffjumper. We haven't yet seen the Sonic with the White Camaro, so we shall wait and see.

  6. I think the white Camaro is Cliffjumper, too. Maybe the Sonic scans a Camaro some point in the movie.

and in pretty much no other conunity.

    2. He also possessed an indestructible spark in the Animated series (thanks to a shard of the All-spark lodged in his chest), came back as a ghost for a single episode Beast Wars, and was reincarnated as a more subservient version of himself in the second installment of the Unicron Trilogy.

I think it's safe to say that Starscream never being gone for good is a pretty persistent archetype in Transformers history.

  8. If anyone noticed (not like its a big thing), but the white camaro does not have the autobot symbol on its side like bumblebee does...is it a character in the movie...hmmmm

Like I and Rob now also pointed out. It could very well be for a promotional shoot, most likely for a tv ad. That woulld make totally sense.
Yes it has tinted windows, but that's normal for sportscars, they aren't blacked out.
But like Rob said, it most likely is a character car, that would make totally sense too.

And like AutobotsRollOut mentions, there is no Autobot symbol on the side, so it most likely is not a Transformer, nor an Autobot, nor a Decepticon.

We'll have to wait and see, I'm leaning towards that it is a character car. That would make great advertising for the new Camaro.

  10. It may just be a promotional car (white camaro), but I haven't seen the Bot symbol on either the Bugatti or the Corvette either. There's also no symbol on the Lambo or Pagani, which look to definately be Autobots since both have been filming scenes alongside the other Bots.

  11. Actually, the Dinobots transforming into vehicles makes alot of sense, if you think about it. If the Bots are hiding from humans, after the destruction of Chicago, it would make sense for all of them to take on alt modes that humans wouldn't pay attention to or notice. A giant robotic dinosaur flying overhead or walking down the street would be pretty obvious. By taking on vehicle modes, the Dinobots are hidden. That doesn't mean they won't turn into dinosaurs later on in the movie, though.

  13. Dinobots bigger than prime and megatron...have to be bigger vehicles fellas! No way cars...plus if they go rogue not much could stop them...me grimlock no hiding

  14. >>>>Is a gal ; )

The Dinobots can be vehicles like fire trucks or big rigs.

As for Sides and Mirage, despite rumors, I believe at the very least, Sidewipe is possibly in the movie. There are a few different vehicles he can be: Corvette, Lambo, Cadillac. Now it's been said Dino isn't in the movie, HOWEVER, it could be they're just not using the name and going with the proper name of Mirage.

  16. I'm sure that until either Bay says as much himself, or I see the movie, that I will continue to be cynical of any fan run sites official or not.
I'm also sure that it's fact that 'sources' will say one thing and the complete opposite ends up being true (I've experienced this is MANY franchise fandoms).
Now, it's been said that 'Dino' will not be returning. There's nothing saying that Mirage won't be in the movie, just the name 'Dino'. So, citing 'sources' that say so and so isn't returning could also be a play on words. 'Dino' may not return but Mirage may be in it. Sideswipe the Corvette may not be returning but Sideswipe in a different alt form may return.
Being a cynic, I don't take what 'sources' say at face value. Experience has taught me not to.

  17. I really don't care if the white camero is whomever at this point. What I care about is if this movie going to live up to all the hype that we're giving it?...

    1. I really hope so. I'm also hoping Bay stays true to his word and this is HIS last Transformers movie. I also hope whoever takes the helm for the next 2 can undue some of Bays epic brainfarts of the past 3 movies.
