Takara's Transformers 4: Lost Age Line Info

Back in January a partial product list for upcoming Transformers 4 toys was leaked from Takara. The list included indicates of a direction separate from Hasbro's plans. Now a new gallery of images have helped clarify that plan. For example, it apparently has the name of Transformers: Lost Age. The toys in this line are essentially re-decos of previous movie toy releases and in some cases repaints of new Transformers 4 molds.

One toy that got people excited was Dispensor which was hoped to be a transforming Mountain Dew machine from the first movie. Nope, instead its a Dew truck homage using the 2007 deluxe Payload mold. I am not aware of Hasbro choosing to follow Takara's plan in the US but from looking at the pics, I don't see the point of it. In most cases the molds have been re-used three or more times already stateside and many were peg warmers. The full gallery of current images head to Unicron.com or TFW2005.

    2. Turn into dino???

    3. Dino isn't in the movie. You're confusing him with Stinger. Two completely different characters. Dino is an Autobot from ROTF and DOTM.

  5. Saw the 3D Trailer before 300, colors look more realistic and 3d effects immersive and not flat.

  6. Tfcollect:Crosshairs doesn't look half bad, doesn't look half good neither. I think even though they went simpler, they still couldve been just a tad bit more creative. I really don't think the designers are too happy with their work on this installment seeing that the ROTF series were just incredible and the best line yet. I wouldve personally wanted to do better the next time around. These things here are just rehashed molds. Bb Bumblebee being the best of them all, but consider this....what line was this mold from?...exactly!

  7. Crosshairs looks like shit imo. Not a fan of any of the toy movie lines. Most look horrid. Wish they would ditch Crosshairs and get everything done

    2. Nah no Sideswipe either. Wish they would find a way to bring back Ravage. He was too awesome.

    3. They shouldn't have had Sideswipe disappear into the Bay Blackhole. Especially since he was lazy enough to reuse Sideswipe's alt mode for that piece of slag Crosshairs.
I won't be buying Crosshairs. I will be getting Dino, Ratchet, Darkside Soundwave and Jolt.

    4. Corvette has its own logo unlike other Chevrolet cars and it has larger number of different cars than others. I think it's okay to use two different Corvettes in these films. Sideswipe was a Stingray, but Crosshairs is a C7.

    5. I'd have zero issue with this had the C7 been Sunstreaker. It makes far more sense to have Sideswipe's twin brother be the other Corvette. To me, that's like having another Camaro and calling him Red Alert.

  8. If I had liked Swideswipe in the movies I might care more about the car type. However, I actually forgot all about him and most I can muster up is a "eh"

    1. I'll take Sideswipe over any of the other Bots that have been in the movies, any day of the week. It's not just his movie version, he's always been my favorite Transformer going back to his G1 Days. The Terror Twins are just all kinds of awesome.

  9. I'm just saying movie wise I'm not a fan of Sideswipe. Otherwise I very much like his character. I didn't feel like they built on him enough for me to care about him. Movie wise my favorites have been Ravage (died way too soon), Optimus (of course) and Sentinel. Leonard Nimoy and Peter Cullen. Yes please!

  10. This is just something out of the blue, but in the teaser trailer Lockdown seems to be pretty tall and big for the size of a transformed Lamborghini. I know that the toys have confirmed Lockdown is the Lamborghini Aventador, but I am getting a feeling that the Lockdown we see in the trailer is in his "Cybertronian form". Therefore somewhere along the story, he is pretty badly injured or something and therefore takes the Lamborghini disguise... I mean it is a plausible theory, after all, Soundwave from ROTF was a massive Cybertronian satellite and in DOTM he was a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. That is quite a size difference. Also, if you have been up to date with the shootings in the past year, we only see the Lamborghini a couple of times.

  11. I believe the bots with green eyes are human made.

    1. We know Stinger is man-made, but hints about Lockdown's role are not compatible with those thoughts. Besides Devastator in ROTF had green eyes and he was Cybertronian.

  13. I was recently on tfw2005.weel they had a list of the first wave from the A.O.E toyline. Wow!...I'm like wondering..."What is Hasbro thinking?".all of the deluxe class are Autobots, only 2voyager class characters will be in the first wave, Optimus&Grimlock...Leader class: Optimus&Grimlock....like, wow. Not one Decepticon in the first wave?...why do I get the feeling that this series toyline is going to do even worst than DOTM toyline? @tfcollect:
