Updated Transformers: Age of Extinction Super Bowl TV Spot

Paramount Pictures International YouTube channel has started to post a revised edition of the the Transformers: Age of Extinction Super Bowl TV Spot. Its the same sequences as before but the CGI sequences has been replaced with the revised versions as ILM continues to work on the movie. The text has almost been modified to match the new title font. Most of the differences were already put in animated gifs. The CGI of the previous movies remained a constant work in progress right up to deadline so see little reason why that would not continue here as mistakes are removed and adjustments are made to improve the quality. The first vid is the new version of the Super Bowl trailer, the second vid is the original if feel like trying to compare and contrast.

  1. In comparing the two videos, I like the looks of some of the stuff better in the original trailer than in the updated one. Case in point, the lighting and blue aura you could see in Lockdown's head transformation looked cool. Now it's been taken away.

Overall though, I think the updated trailer is looking better.

Something really has to be done about Lockdown's ship though. The way it's currently inserted into the scenes looks pretty fake. This was especially the case in the theatrical trailer when you see it hovering in Chicago. It looks like it was just copied and pasted into the scene. It just doesn't look real.

  2. I agree, still looks cartoonish. Still cant hold a candle to Pacific Rim's CGI, that shit looked awesome. The first Transformers CGI was also awesome, just so clear and crisp and clean. They still got work to do, all fuzzy and dark in some spots. Clean that shit up already.

    1. Most of the cars spotted with Galvatron and Stinger are Chevrolet Traxes, they are very likely the alternate modes of the Vehicons.

  7. It's easy for Pacific Rim to make the CG look good because their scenes were at night. In their daytime scenes the CG was no different from Transformers. Sometimes even worse. They don't have all the detail and moving parts that Transformers have to compensate for.

  8. @Anonymous3/15/2014 2:06 PM: stop watching pirated copies of movies when doing comparison. The CGI on Pacific Rim is the best ever created at ILM. Period.
If you can't see the outstanding level of details and quality on Pacific Rim and you claim that "it's easy because of dark scenes at night" then you are just writing silly nonsense that is far from the truth.

  9. Yeah that CGI for Pacific Rim was truly impressive, proof is in the pudding, BOOM there it is. It was flawless and I agree that the CGI for the original TFormers was also very good. Its not done, I'm holding out hope that she will be crispy clean at showtime.

  11. liked original better- looked darker with less color saturation= more realistic. This new one I noticed alot of the coloring was too pronounced and too clean
