Michael Bay Directing Transformers 5

In a new interview with Rolling Stone to promote his upcoming movie 13 Hours, Michael Bay revealed "I'm doing Transformers ... 5, is it?" Exactly when he signed on wasn't revealed but apparently pre-production is well under way as the interview partly occured during an interview with ILM as they went over effects for 13 Hours, TMNT 2 (a look at Krang and oddly making directing decisions on a film he didn't direct) and Transformers 5 where "They show Bay an underwater rendering of a crash-landed alien spaceship, then a new dump-truck Transformer with a cloak. Neither are up to snuff."

He has directed all five of the films and just like the last two times he also said "But it's time to move on. One more." Chances are Hasbro and Paramount backed up the money truck as he is rumored to have made close to $100 million for each of the last few films so can't really blame him for not wanting to say no to that. I also can't help but wonder if this time the action scenes are being driven by the script developed from the Transformers' Writing Room or if once again he comes up with the action scenes and the script is created to move the story from one action beat to the next as has been the case for the last three films.

    1. Transformers3 was slow boring and a disappointment.
      But Transformers,Transformers2,Transformers4 are just top-notch.

    2. What are you some kind of moron? Transformers 1 was the only good movie the rest sucked hard. Especially 2 and 4 if you think they were top notch then something is seriously wrong with you.

    3. It simply means that their opinion is different from yours. You would have to be retarded to think everyone has to think that the movies sucked just because you did. So the question is turned around on you. Are you some kind of moron to think that everyone has to hate it just because you did? I,personally, agree with 5:34am. I really enjoyed the films and I am far from a moron.

    5. So in your own opinion you're not a moron? that's the most retarded thing I've ever heard, so what are you some kind of rocket scientist? did you build a machine that can turn mud into gold? anyone can claim to be anything but people always show who they really are, especially you a MORON.

I´m afraid the writer´s room will have made no impact, it will be a Bay driven action script.

  5. Seems as production is moving really slow or very secretive. Should Michael Bay be working on 2 movies at the same time?! Worried!

    1. They haven't actually started filming yet. It's in pre-production which just means they are preparing to shoot, choosing locations, hiring cast etc. Just doing all the work that comes before they can start filming. The writing started awhile back.

  6. They are chosing lications now?! 4 months prior to filming?! What if all the locations say no. What if the people they chose to be in the cast say no?! All the work 4 months before filming is really not good man. Honestly before anything has really kicked off im already worried.

    1. I'm not worried. As the article says they don't know how long he's been signed on to do it or how long pre-production has been in the works. After all, some actors such as Mark Walhberg were signed quite sometime ago so I think it's pretty safe to say it's been ongoing for awhile now. How well the previous Transformer movies did will most likely persuade a lot of locations to allow production simply because of the production and revenue it will bring in.

  7. I'm a little troubled by the blogger. He/she promotes the movies but yet he/she seems to show just as much hate towards the movies and Michael Bay as do some of the "fans"
