Isabela Moner Talks Casting, Bay with BTS Videos

In an interview with KTLA 5 (station in Los Angeles), Transformers: The Last Knight's Isabela Moner talked about the movie, getting cast, and working with Michael Bay. I suspect the interview is a kind of dipping toes in water practice before the actress is thrown in the deep end to promote the movie to nationwide audiences on the daytime shows and the like since its only 11 days away from release. After the interview there are also three behind the scenes videos from her first three days on set of the movie last year.

Moner Talks First Day on TF5, Cars Video

The info blackout continues on Transformers 5. There is a rumor of an IMAX trailer on the horizon that will be around two minutes in length but that is about it. In the meantime here is 2 not really related bit of "news". The first is Transformers: The Last Knight star Isabela Moner briefly commenting on her first day on the set.

Director Michael Bay greeted her with this: “Welcome! Today you’re going to put out a fire. Do you know how to use a fire extinguisher?”

“Michael lit this huge fire so I could practice, and kept shouting, ‘You have to get closer! Closer! You’re not in the shot yet!’” Isabela shares in the December/January issue. “All I could think was, ‘My face is going to melt off!’”

Another scene found Isabela sprinting while hauling three huge para-chute bags. “I grabbed them and I ran through the scene with all this wind blowing in my face and dust getting in my eyes and smoke and things on fire. When I finished it, it was just the most amazing feeling to know that I’d done it.”

Official Images from Transformers 5 Packard Plant Set

Filming continues on Transformers: The Last Knight at the Packard Plant set in Detroit. As part of that the Transformers Instagram account has posted two official images from the set and a short video (all below) from star Isabela Moner as she hangs out in the subway car on the set.

Isabela Moner Joins Transformers 5 Cast

In a new tweet, Nickelodeon actress Isabela Moner verified she has joined the cast of Transformers 5. It was rumored last month that she was part of the cast.

No details on the extent of the role. The rumor described her character as "Izabella, a street-smart tomboy who grew up an orphan and was raised in foster care. She counts a small Transformer as her only friend… until she meets Wahlberg’s heroic inventor Cade Yeager." Filming for the movie starts around mid-June in Detroit.
