From TFG2, below are a few images of Rampage (red in movie) and Sideways in CGI along with their real world counterpart. Rampage is apparently in his jackhammer mode. Overall they look pretty good.
Feeling a touch lazy so just combining all these stories into once story since all of them are brief anyway.
First up, MichaelBay.com has posted a CGI image of Sideways. It’s cool looking but the detail makes me think it’s from the video games rather than the movie. Also, the site has three additional set photos that show Bay and Shia working/posing including a neat pic on an aircraft carrier deck. In addition, go to Megan-Fox.net for four more movie images.
Next, for the MTV Movie Awards airing live on May 31st at 9pm/8pm CST, it has been confirmed that the show an exclusive clip will be aired and introduced by Megan Fox and Michael Bay. Shia LaBeouf will also present an award. Hopefully that clip will pop up online shortly thereafter.
Last is a single image of the repaint of Deluxe Scorponok for the Transformers 2 toy line. It appears that all the gold of the original figure has been swapped out for black and gray.
Thanks to Moises, Phil, Darin, Mcat, and Dave for the links.
Update: The commecial mentioned above is now on YouTube for our embedding pleasures. Thanks to medabotsoundwave for the link. In addition, The Chief sent me the Sideways and Bumblebee renders the other day but I completely forgot to post them, so here they are now. Sorry about that.
Yep, more toy galleries from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toy line for your enjoyment (or not), all of them from the TFW2005 forums.
First up is the rather tiny picture to the left that shows off the combined mode of Leader class Optimus Prime and Jetfire that has been hinted at for awhile. Of note is the combined mode doesn't quite match the black-out preview pick from Jetfire's packaging. In addition, there is the image of Devastator and his six Constructicons, a contradiction of the seven that recent press articles indicated would comprise Devastator. It looks like we will have to wait on the leak of the toy packaging to finally clear this one up.
Next is a shot of Wheelie in his packaging via an eBay auction. We previously got a look at his card backing and bio. Nothing much to add, he is still as strange looking as you expect. Makes you wonder if Scapel and him will have a tussle (that would probably be amusing to watch).
More Transformer comparison photos. This time of the Takara version of Deluxe Sideways compared with the Hasbro version. Takara's version has a darker paint job that does look better. The full gallery is here. Deluxe Breakaway (still not confirmed if in movie) also gets a Takara vs. Hasbro treatment. Takara Breakaway is a brown color instead of Hasbro's tan. In this case I am not sure if it is an improvement or not. The Breakaway gallery is here.
Last is a small gallery (here) of the Transformers version of Jenga. As you can see, it is the classic game that when stacked for play forms the faction symbols. I like the touch of adding them to each block.
Many more toy galleries are online including a possible Deluxe version of Megatron, Ultimate Bumblebee and some Fast Action Battlers. Also Peaugh is back with a video review of FAB Jetfire.
Voyager Megatron - Turns out he might be real as the new gallery (some pics below) shows. Ultimate Bumblebee 2.0 - He's back with modified transformation and body to reflect his new 2010 model. FAB Sideswipe - Via eBay, I believe the first look at this version FAB Ratchet - In his desert green colors, still no clue if this reflects his look in the movie. FAB Megatron - Still ugly, still better looking than the jet. FAB Starscream - Still butt ugly too. Bruticus Maximus - A look at the re-issue from Transformers: Energon line to go with the Superion repaint. (Forgot to add includes pics of vehicle mode of Voyager Starscream and Ratchet). Deluxe Sideswipe - Large gallery of the toy. Deluxe Sideways - Another large gallery. FAB Jetfire Review - Of note is it appears the FAB Jetfire and Optimus do not combine, contary to previous rumors for this version.
Update: Turns out the Megatron pic was real. Updated his link to the new, better gallery and added a few sample pictures.
Few more new bios for Transformers 2 have shown up online, two for Sideways and one for Breakaway (still unknown if movie character). First the new toy galleries.
Robot Replicas Megatron - The action figure from all sides TF Logo Candy Dispenser - Click the link for a video that demonstrates a tie-in product that transforms from the Autobot logo to rectangular shape that has the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen logo on it. Fast Action Battler Mudflap - Yep still ugly.
Now that the galleries are out of the way, on to the bios from TFW2005. The gallery provides the backs of Deluxe Sideways, FAB Sideways, Deluxe Breakaway and includes previously seen bios of Deluxe Rampage and FAB Long Haul. The bios pretty much say that Sideways is a lazy coward while Breakaway's bio makes no reference to the movie, something that usually indicates that he is not a movie character.
Deluxe Sideways:
Back on Cybertron, Sideways was a simple courier who avoided combat at all costs. He tried to always remain in the shadow of larger Decepticons, where the Autobots might not notice him. On Earth, he's keeping much of the same practice. He teamed up with Demolisher early on, and hopes that if the Autobots find them the big Constructicon can keep him safe.
Fast Action Battler Sideways:
Sideways usually relies on his speed to stay out of fights. When he does have a fight, he likes to make the other guy run, if he can. His magna missiles lock onto the metal of his opponent's armor and chase their target anywhere it goes. While that happens, Sideways kicks back and laughs.
Deluxe Breakaway:
Serving in an army of robots tied to the ground makes Breakaway unique. He is one of the very few among the elite Autobot flyers, and he is unmatched for speed in a straight line. While other pilots focus on aerial acrobatics that confound the enemy, Breakaway is content to speed over a fight at seemingly impossible velocity, releasing bombs and missiles that strike their targets before the thunderous boom of his passage can catch up.
Nope not new, but for those interested a lot more galleries of the various toys from the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen towline have popped up. Nothing really new except the pic to the right that shows off that Deluxe Bumblebee has a new gimmick of pop-out cannons that is pretty cool. The main reason for this post is these are some of the best quality pictures yet of the various toys.
Few new galleries of Transformers 2 Deluxe class toys. From TF08.net, a two page gallery of pictures of various Deluxe Fast Action Battler size Transformers 2 toys. It is a good look at Jetfire, a re-color of Ratchet, Skids, Rampage, and Bumblebee. I think my favorite of the group is Long Haul mostly because he is the creation of Transformers fan Josh Nizzi, hired by Michael Bay for Transformers 2 thanks to his Long Haul art. Makes me wonder if its just a matter of time for Jester and Jolin. The other gallery is from TFormers for Sideways.
In a new crop of official images for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toy line, revealed at Toy Fair 2009, comes an accidental reveal on the name of the mysterious Decepticon Audi R8 seen all over the place during filming, in the trailer and in sneak toys. As the package on the right shows, his official name is Sideways (yep the same name dropped in the Toyfare article).
What does this mean for Barricade since the theory that the Audi was a reformat is now out the window? And why no Arcee toys at Toyfair? What secrets is that character hiding?
The full gallery of new images including more Deluxe class toys in packaging, Bumble Spud and others, click here. Thanks to Chris for the information.
Here you go, the teaser trailer / commercial for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen that will premiere during the Superbowl. For those wanting to keep score, the commercial finally aired at 8:57pm EST when there was 2:11 left in the 3rd quarter with Pittsburgh owning Arizona 20-7. I guess appropriate since Transformers 2 filmed in Philadelphia, PA. The trailer is now up on Transformers official website...or just use the various methods below.
So what do I see (and probably missing much): - Fireballs hitting a battle fleet (possible incoming Decepticon protoforms?) - Shia and co looking very "oh s$@#!" at things - A very big Transformer that looks exactly like the leaked Terex RH400 toy including the head, attacking the army.(Explains some of what was shot at Bethlehem, PA) - Ravage, which matches the leaked design, looking creepy and dangerous. - Decepticon Audi R9 (possibly Barricade) jumping out a building and then tumbling into vehicle mode. - Behind the Audi, just for a brief second, can see three Transformers jumping down (picture below), Arcee perhaps? - Starscream possibly getting revenge on Sam or one part is Starscream and the next is the claw of Megatron. - Optimus Prime getting hit hard by somebody. - The Terex RH400 trashing a bridge as Optimus jumps on him. (Explains the Queensway Bridge filming and explosions.)
Overall, as teasers go, very bad ass. Can't wait for the full length trailer coming on 2/13. Despite the RH400 TF in the trailer, I still think my source was right and he is the only Constructicon in the movie and not a component of Devastator.
From Anonymous, here are some screenshots from the commercial.
Here is a shot from Gregory that shows three bots chasing the Audi which seems like a scene related to the Wal-Mart footage from last year. For now the three robots are collectivily called Arcee but even with the toy leak, her exact nature remains unknown.
From low Hertz, below are more screenshots. The first two are good freezes that the Constructicon at the beginning and the end are the same. Third one is a good look at the Audi logo so verify that is the R8 being chased. The next is possible proof that it is Megatron holding Sam down and last is a Optimus Prime reeling from a blow to the head.
Here are more screenshots from Elis that help show off the Constructicon including that his wheel is what takes out the bridge and and transformation with a wheel behind him. In addition Ravage has a cannon in his mouth, a look at the Audi robot mode, Optimus reeling (cause cool if tragic to see), and what might be Megatron's lower left leg and right knee near Sam.
Thanks to all the site readers for links and info.
Updates: Be sure to re-check the above as have added screenshots, adjusted text, added links to HD downloads and screenshot galleries found on the web.
The toy pictures and such keep coming. For those thinking "who cares about toys!", the reason is hey we like toys and the toys provide hints on the movie characters and their design. They are basically plastic spoiler alerts.
First up is a video review of Jolt the Volt Fast Action Battler brought to you by the same person that did the great Audi R8 review.
More Construction RH400 pictures have popped up that show off the vehicle mode and head, still no confirmation of character name of if this is 1 of many. Below are a few pictures, the full gallery is here.
We have seen plenty of pictures of the Audi R8 but now there is video review that also shows off the toy, provides comparison to other Transformers and shows off the "Mech Alive" feature that the Transformers 2 toy line will use. Thanks to cypherXR for the link.
Clearer pictures of the Deluxe Audi R8 from the Transformers 2 toy line are up on ACToys.net. They are similar to the previous pictures, but now with correct robot transformation. Overall, a very cool toy that will probably look equally excellent in full CGI rendering for the movie. Below are a few select images, the full gallery is here. Thanks to cypherXR for the heads-up.
TFW2005 has also posted more pictures, this time high resolution pictures on a red background so easier to pick out details on the toy who still reminds me a lot of Barricade. The gallery of those pictures is here.
