Optimus Prime from EW

Entertainment Weekly has an Q&A with Transformers Director Michael Bay. As part of the article, there is a nice looking head-to-toe image of Optimus Prime. Full of detail, it does look pretty darn good. Sadly my subscription to EW has lapse so unable to provide any highlights to the article itself.

3 Transformers Photos From Yahoo

Yahoo has added three new production pictures that show various Transformers in action including a sweet looking one of Optimus Prime. Thanks to a site reader for posting the info.

Transformers Cast Press Pics

TFW2005 once again. This time 11 pics of the cast in poses from the heroic to the sexual. This is probably the first real look at the female cast members of this movie Rachael Taylor and Megan Fox. Also get a closeup of a dirty Shia and Josh Duhamel. Also one nice something go boom pic.

ShoWest Transformers Footage

AICN has posted two descriptions of the Transformers footage shown at ShoWest from Harry and Quint, two of the contributors for the site.

The highlights:
- About 20-25 minutes of footage shown, each series of sequences from the film.
- Getting closer to finished but voice, eyes, and other tweaks still to be done
- Showed desert sequence from begining that introduces the soldiers in the usual movie / advertisement for the armed services.
- Blackout sequences "it's killer", the sound effects where especially noted as sounding good with the attack ruthless and intense. Many many things go boom.
- You can hear the transforming sound from the cartoon.
- Next sequences was with Shia and the Autobots in at his house while he looks for an object that will help find the Allspark. Its a moment of levity for the film.
- Harry on the site wasn't a fan of the Optimus mouth as it distracts from the eyes, but apparently part of the tweaking that is being worked on.
- At one moment, apparently Ironhide speaks...since Peter Cullen is the only known actor hired as voice and he also voiced Ironhide in the cartoon, makes you wonder if he doesn't have two or more roles in the film.
- Animation on Bumblebee is working well.
- Last sequnces goes back the Scorponok attack as the soldiers hightail and return fire and the like. Also very good looking sequence.
- Harry's conclusion: "it looks like a Transformers movie."

New Movie Set Pics

TFW2005 scored a few pics apparently during filming at Edwards Air Force Base. I especially like the one that shows all the Transformer vehicles in one shot.

Megatron On Ice Pics

TFW2005.com have scored a few additional pics of the previously revealed Megatron set piece that does a decent job of showing the scale the Transformers will be. Megatron is rumored to be the tallest Transformer of the bunch. Thanks to Daniel S for the link.
