Unused Track from Transformers

Here is a video of sorts that has an unused track from Transformers called "A Call To Arms" by Steve Jablonsky. I am not entirely clear if this is from the first or second but the use of Prime's theme and the sound suggests the first film. I wonder what spot it was originally intended for? Transformers: ROTF Special Edition Album Cancelled

If you have been holding out on buying Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen The Album because of Amazon's Special Edition listing, you no longer need to wait as it has been cancelled according to an email TFormers received from the company. Considering no details were ever released about the edition I can't say I am surprised.

Full ROTF Soundtrack Available To Sample

On the eve of the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundtrack (and score and video games), ShockHound.com is making the entire album available for you to listen to. How long it will last I don't know but probably not much after midnight tonight eastern. In addition, they seem to have the best price yet for the track with a price of $6.99 to pre-order the download (but I don't know if this site has copy protection restrictions).

Transformers: ROTF The Score on YouTube (Updated)

Update: Sadly the videos have been deleted so it looks like your going to have to hear during the movie or pick up the album at Amazon, iTunes or local store when it is released on June 23rd.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen The Score is on MovieMakerKid14's channel. All 14 tracks are available. I am not sure how long it will last so enjoy the opportunity while you can. Personally, I have already listened to the score and while it is strong in sections, overall it just doesn't work all that well (to me) as standalone music. It probably sounds great with the movie; it is unlikely I would fire up any tracks to listen to while doing other things anytime soon. ROTF Scoring Session

Scorings Session has posted an article (via TFW2005) with gallery that shows off the scoring session for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The score is from composer Steve Jablonsky and took place at the Sony Scoring Stage in Culver City, California with the 71-piece ensemble of the Hollywood Studio Symphony. Over 110 minutes of music had to be scored for the movie. The descriptions and 35 picture gallery of the session can be found here.

Remix of The Touch in Transformers ROTF?

MTV has posted an amusing video that shows Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Shia Labeouf singing the Touch and saying "There is a remix and its in the movie. Who would have thought that. I have been fighting that since forever. It's one of may favorite songs of all time." Did Stan Bush's efforts pay off? I will believe it when I hear it next week.

ROTF The Score, Album Samples (Update)

New Divide Video Now Online (Updated)

New Divide Making of Video #2

From MTV, below is the second behind the scenes video for Linkin Park's New Divide from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundtrack. The single is now available on iTunes. The first behind the scenes video can be seen here. The current rumor is the video will be released on June 12th but that has not been officially verified to my knowledge.

Amazon has put up the cover art for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen The Score by Steve Jablonsky that is being released on June 23rd. Amazon has also applied its usual discount so the price of the score is now $14.49. Thanks to Rich for the link.

New Divide Making of Video and Contest

The music video for Linkin Park's New Divide song from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundtrack is expected to be released June 12th. As part of that, a making of video is now on YouTube and a contest has started to win a custom Fender Squier guitar from the band. The video is below, click here for the contest. RoTF The Album Track List

MichaelBay.com has revealed the official track list for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundtrack. Thanks to commanderalphanl for the link.

Burbank, CA - Warner Bros. Records will release the soundtrack to the hotly anticipated feature film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on June 23rd — the day before the film, the sequel to the 2007 Oscar-nominated summer blockbuster Transformers , hits theaters nationwide.

The film's director and executive producer Michael Bay asked Warner Bros. Records' multiplatinum rock band Linkin Park to provide the sonic backdrop to the live-action robot fantasy film. Not only did the band write and record the film's theme song, entitled "New Divide," specifically for the soundtrack, they were also asked by Bay, Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer, and award-winning composer Steve Jablonsky to contribute to the score. "New Divide" is currently available for purchase on iTunes.

Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Album also features music from Green Day (who contribute "21 Guns" — a song from their new album 21st Century Breakdown), Taking Back Sunday, The Used , The All-American Rejects, Cavo, The Fray, Staind, Nickelback, Cheap Trick and more.
In addition to the original soundtrack, Warner Bros will be releasing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Score, which will also be released on June 23rd.

RoTF Soundtrack Special Edition?

Amazon has a new listing a special edition of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack. The CD will be released on June 23rd and costs $22 rather then the $15 of the the standard edition. Exact details on what makes this "special" are currently unknown but usually these things include a few additional tracks or an extra CD or DVD with videos and the like on it. More details will probably be released as get close to the release date.

Tyrese Updates On RoTF Duet

Linkin Park just released their single New Divide (finally out on iTunes for $1.29) for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack. Tyrese Gibson has working on a duet with Jewel for the soundtrack. Tonight he has tweeted an update on the collaboration and posted a public voice message.

I was recording with Babyface last night the song with me and @JewelJk is turning out amazing!

The song is called "Make it Last" it's for the Transformers 2 soundtrack! The song was wrote for tender moments with Megan and Shia..!!

As for the voice message (below) Tyrese provides a brief sample of "Make It Last" that is probably a pre-mixed version of the song. The track is not yet part of the soundtrack as he still has to present it to the album decision makers (including Bay). The rest of the message is not Transformers specific as he talks about being careful with information revealed to others and the choices people can make.
