Reno Wilson Returns as Brains in Transformers 4?
A tweet from Reno Wilson suggests that Brains survived the Cybertronian ship crash in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Below is all the info available, speculate away in the comments.
Just finished a v.o. session for Michael Bay, who is a genius! Each one better than the last! #Transformers4 #Brains

Transformers 4 Casting Call in Seattle
Transformers 4 may be finished in Chicago but production continues. Currently near Elma, Washington, the production had put out an "urgent casting call" for extras for filming on Wednesday and Thursday. The call was seeking 18+ male and female "clean cut, athletic, military, business types." If in the Elma area, it might not be too late to apply. Sadly not a whole lot of info to gleam from that as many of the extra notices had similar descriptions. Thanks to Wynton R. for the link.

China's Transformers 4 Talent Search Announces Winners
As part of the co-production agreement with China, Transformers 4 producers participated in a reality show called "Transformers 4 Chinese Actors Talent Search Reality Show" to find four additional actors to appear in the movie. The show has now ended its run and the winners have been announced as (l-r) Austin Lin (as a computer geek), Teresa Daley (as Loli), Bryon Li (as a Kung Fu fighter) , and Candice Zhao (as a "sexy goddess"). The four were chosen from a starting pool of 70,000 applicants. The extent of their roles is unknown but probably just a few lines here and there when scenes are filmed on mainland China sometime in October. (via Seibertron)

Transformers 4's New Cast Member, Standalone Movie and Detroit Vids
This is kind of a catch all post of today's Transformers 4 info as didn't seem worth individual posts. The first bit of news is Victoria Summer (Saving Mr. Banks) tweeted she is joining the cast for a three week shoot. Mark Wahlberg continues his 2 Guns promotional tour and briefly discussed Transformers 4 with Digital Spy saying the same things before about his dad role but he also said "...its just very different. Its a standalone movie. Budget wise its the biggest of all of them." Video below. Last is 2 videos from last week with Bumblebee and Hound driving down the street underneath the People Mover and another of Wahlberg filming a scene shooting at something.

Titus Welliver Joins Transformers 4 Cast
Transformers fans have known for about a month that Titus Welliver had probably joined the Transformers 4 cast. Deadline has caught up with an "exclusive" confirming the casting. Before it just seemed likely but nothing official to back it up but Deadline has the access to confirm things like this. While you may not be familiar with his name, you probably known his face from pretty much every procedure TV show on the air as he always pops up in a guest starring role on them at some point in their life span. Basically he is a solid addition to the cast and hopefully doing more than the movie equivalent of a cameo. Thanks to Wynton R. for the link.

Transformers 4 Extras Casting Call in Chicago (Updated)
Transformers 4 is scheduled to start filming in Chicago on August 18th. That means extras are needed the various planned scenes. According to Red Eye Chicago, the production is looking for "clean-cut business, FBI and military-type males and females age 18 and older. Asian citizens, age 9 and older, are also needed for a Hong Kong scene." Auditions are scheduled for this Friday and Saturday at the Skokie Holiday Inn. The details are here. The main thing is it seems a continuation of previous extra calls in Texas and Michigan asking for that FBI and military looks along with what sounds like more China related scenes to be filmed in the city. Thanks to Wynton R. for the link.
Update: Another post for the casting call indicates that the Chicago filming will be from August 18 to September 27, 2013. Its the same as above casting call but the detail is a lot more clear and more reader friendly so recommend clicking here if considering trying out for an extra's role in the Chicago area. Transformers 4 Seeking Extras for "Hong Kong" Location
ABC WZZM is reporting that Transformers 4 is seeking Asian-American adults for Transformers 4. The reason for specifics on ethnicity is because the production is filming scenes that will be used as Hong Kong, China and later combined with actual footage from the city . To apply head to RealStyleOnline.com. No specifics on what days or exact location. The article says Grand Rapids, Michigan but can't help but wonder if that set going up might be part of it. Thanks to Wynton R. for the link.

Titus Welliver Joins Transformers 4 Cast?
A new image indicates that television mainstay Titus Welliver has been cast in Transformers 4 for some unknown role. The picture was taken recently at the Lockhart, Texas set by by Nicole_4_Eva. The actor probably looks familiar as it seems every drama on TV is required to hire him for at least one episode but he did enjoy longer stays on shows like The Good Wife and Sons of Anarchy. The actor was on set for scenes with Jack Reynor and Mark Wahlberg so the role has something to do with them but who knows what. While is a great actor with range, TV shows tend to have him play variations of a bad guy, be it actual or some bureaucratic obstacle.

Josh Duhamel Not In Transformers 4
Josh Duhamel has made it official. He will not be in Transformers 4, not even in a cameo role. He tweeted the news today: ""@mrtekmn: @joshduhamel Hey Josh! do you making a new #Transformers movie?" Nope. I'm not in the next one." The actor, along with Tyrese Gibson, were willing to return to the franchise it seems the story did not need them. While set pictures indicate the movie does have soldiers in it, so far there is nothing to prove that NEST has a part in the movie. (via TFormers)

Hi-Res Images from Taylor, TX Set With New Cast Member
A set of 92 pictures by JasonBo from the Taylor, Texas set of Transformers 4 on June 13th reveals a few more nuggets about the filming. The pictures indicate that the town play a part in the "chase from hell", a potential shoot-out with police, that the soldiers in black SUVs are with the US government (but what agency remains unknown), that Lucas Black (Friday Night Lights, Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift) has joined the cast as a soldier, and that Nicola Peltz looks good from behind. Also, as Sam points out, there are signs with the names of "Tessa", "Shane", "Savoy", and "Lucas" taped on the side of two trailers. Are they character first names or referencing names of actors? For instance does this mean Nicola's character name is Tessa Vincent? Below are a few choice photos to highlight these things but really worth checking out the entire set (most mirrored here).

Megan Fox Returning for Transformers 4? (Updated)
This goes under unsubstantiated rumor so don't get too excited (or annoyed). An accidental hashtag on Paramount Pictures Instagram account combined with comments from MichaelBay.com admin Nelson suggests that maybe Megan Fox returns in some capacity for Transformers 4. The since pulled picture had a hashtag of #MeganFox with an image of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe. When asked about this error Nelson at first thought it was fake because the post is more then 140 characters but when told it was on Instagram he said "My bad. Someone's in trouble. It's gonna be a long week."We already know that Megan Fox and Michael Bay repaired their relationship enough that she was able to get a starring role in the live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that Bay is executive producer on and is currently filming for a June 6, 2014 release date. The TMNT filming would have provided the perfect cover for a secret cameo role. If Fox has a larger role, I think the TMNT filming is nearing the end of principle photography so she would be available for TF4 as it films over the summer. It is also possible that the person that posted the picture is not really a Transformers fan and wasn't aware she was no longer part of the franchise. As always time will tell. (via TFW2005)
Update: The Shoot for the Edit twitter feed run by MichaelBay.com admin Nelson provided a simply "No" when asked if she was returning. Later he tweeted an article from April where Michael Bay said Fox was not returning to the franchise. So while this could be a trick...I just don't seem them bothering. To be blunt Fox doesn't have the star power to be worth the trouble nor would the "surprise" of an appearance accomplish anything useful fan service of value like the Wolverine cameo did in X-Men First Class.

Detroit Casting Call Interview With Michigan Filming Info
In an interview with Fox Detroit News, Transformers 4 casting coordinator Maryellen Aviano provided a few details on the Michigan plans when filming starts in the state. Most of the interview was promoting the extras casting call that is being held Friday and Saturday in Troy, MI. While discussing the call, she mentioned that portions of scenes set in Hong Kong will be filmed somewhere in Michigan with the current schedule set to be in the state from end of June through August. At the end she also mentioned "Corvettes" in plural. Does that mean Sideswipe returns, a new character with Corvette alt mode, or it could just mean they have multiple Stingray's to meet filming needs.

TJ Miller Joins Transformers 4 Cast
Comedian T.J. Miller has joined the cast of Transformers 4, playing the best friend of Mark Wahlberg's character. The role, like Wahlberg, is a mechanic (one assumes race cars) but no name has been provided. If the actor seems somewhat familiar, he is currently one of the leads on Fox's The Goodwin Games that is airing on Mondays. He also was in Cloverfield and voices Tuffnut in the How To Train Your Dragon franchise.

Extras Casting Call for Transformers 4 In Austin
Beth Sepko Casting and Third Coast Extras facebook page has posted a variety of variety of extras for Transformers 4 when it starts filming in Austin, Texas for a date range of June 3-20th. The extras include a white or hispanic "mom" or "dad" (details), 35-65 year old "character" faces that seem to fit what a non-Texan might imagine what Texans look like (details here and here), 16-23 white female hotties (details), and what looks like extras for a crowd scene since the age range is 9-12 and 18-80s (details). As always, warning about applying for untrustworthy ads and remember the whole point of extra casting is they pay you for your time, not that you pay them. Also if are not in the Austin, Texas area for that date range, don't waste their time submitting your info. Thanks to Wynton R. for the link.

General Morshower Not Returning to Transformers 4
While attending the Texas Frightmare Weekend at the beginning of May, Transformers' Glenn Morshower told fans that he would not be in Transformers 4 citing a scheduling conflict as they had begun filming and he couldn't fit the film in. Last year the actor had said he though he would be in Transformers 4 and 5 so I guess the story changed and didn't need his role of General Morshower. Considering Michael Bay frequently has said Transformers 4 is going in a different direction, losing the military angle would be a good start. Thanks to Shane E. for the info.
