Transformers: The Last Knight Concept Art
If you are interested, click over to TFormers for some concept art that has been posted by five artists that worked on the film. The work is really great and the detail amazing considering much of it may have never been used for any aspect of the film.

More Transformers 5 Concept Art
If you are interested, ILM posted some new concept art from Transformers: The Last Knight with an emphasis on Quintessa, Drift, and Bulldog. I couldn't find it on their site but TFW2005 mirrored it.

Transformers: The Last Knight Concept Art
Transformers: The Last Knight artist, along with long time Transformers franchise artist Josh Nizzi and A. Kozhanov, posted some of his concept art from the movie on his Facebook page. I am really digging his take on Bumblebee. Sadly his version was a non-starter as the Chevy partnership would prevent its use. Chevy would demand it look recognizable as a Camaro and specifically like one they may later sell to the public. Sometimes we forget that that for the car companies, the Transformers movies are really just long form car commercials. You can find the full gallery at TFW2005.com.

Empire Article on Cogman's Voice, Merlin, and the Writers' Room.
In the latest issue of Empire magazine, they interview Transformers: The Last Knight director Michael Bay who discussed the writer's room and also got a little information on the future of the franchise. Most of it we already knew (more or less) but they did confirm two tidbits including the voice of Cogman. You can read scans of the entire article here.
- Part of reason for Transformers writers' room was Bay didn't want to "grind on another script and do another one-off" while producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said "We were feeling the need for more robust storytelling and weren't feeling we were getting it from the one-off process."
- Writers room was "A candy shot for a Transformers junkie" with TVs playing the movies and cartoons, movie props, and 10,000 pieces of TF art that included two days of "Transformers school" to go over the franchise history both actual and fictional.
- During room meets Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) latched onto idea set in 5th century and King Arthur while Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man) liked idea of Transformers and WWI. The final story is three of the treatments merged together.
- Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), at the recommendation of Holloway, is voicing the "psychotic robot butler" that Spielberg considers "the greatest four-and-a half-foot character since Yoda."
- Santiago Cabrera is also playing Merlin. Film opens with a drunk Merlin during a massive 5th century battle that involves Transformers.
- The Bumblebee movie is based on a treatment by Christina Hodson and directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) set in the 1980s and will be tonally for younger crown.
- The animated origin myth of the Transformers is still planned as written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man).
- Another treatment under consideration is one set in Ancient Rome (so that means 6/12 treatments potentially leading directly to movies so far).

Transformers: The Last Knight Set Visits Reveal Movie Info
A press day event was held on August 5 while Transformers: The Last Knight was filming at Raleigh Michigan Studios in Pontiac, Michigan. As is the tendency for such invite only events where the cost of going is picked up by the studio, the press enter a kind of gentleman's agreement to not post about the visit until a certain point in time as decided by the studio to help with their promotional push. In this case, that means the embargo wasn't lifted until until the first teaser trailer was released. From what I can tell it looks like the interviews and set visits were conducted as one large group as most of them shared the same experiences and quotes. Below are the main highlights from Collider and i09.
Highlights:
- TF5 is set several years after Transformers: Age of Extinction
- A scene involves a crash landing on an alien surface via a V-22 Osprey loaded with the core human cast of the film.

Transformers 5 Behind the Scenes Roll Room
Below is a new behind the scenes video from Transformers: The Last Knight in what they are calling the "Room Roll." Set before a green screen, the circular cave rolls to film a sequence with Mark Wahlberg and Laura Haddock as they climb or hang on to something. The surface has a Cybertronian look so could be a Transformer body part, planet surface, or another large object (like a spacecraft).

Bay: Tuturro, Goodman, Trailer This Year, UK Filming Completed
In a new Facebook video, Transformers: The Last Knight director Michael Bay revealed the most news at once about the movie. It isn't really much but compared to the impressive cone of silence he has kept on the production up to this point, its practically a feast.
- John Turturro and John Goodman are confirmed to return for the movie when Bay rattled off a list of names. John Turturro played Agent Simmons in the first three films of the franchise while John Goodman will voice Hound once again.
- Thursday was the last day of filming in the UK with production moving to Namibia, Africa for a few days to complete principle photography on the movie.
- A teaser trailer is planned for release either in November or December. I assume they are going to try to attach it to Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them as that is expected to be the big movie of the holiday season.
In the video (below) Bay mentioned the above news, showed off a little bit of a UK set in what I guess was filming set during King Arthur's time.

TF5 BTS Video of Soldiers Charging Up a Hill
A new video (embedded below) from the Transformers Facebook page provides a little bit of behind the scenes footage from Transformers: The Last Knight. Filmed somewhere (Scotland?), the sequence involves dozens of troops, including Josh Duhamel and Santiago Cabrera, running up a hill. Not exactly sure why this video was called "Epic Journey". Whatever sequence is being filmed apparently it is one of the larger fights Transformers has had. This doesn't mean they are fighting Transformers, just that the sequence involves more soldiers then has been typical in the previous films.

Josh Duhamel Talks To ET In London
Below is a new interview with Josh Duhamel where the actor was filming Transformers: The Last Knight. There seems to be a mix of mostly behind the scenes footage from Arizona filming (I think), but hard to tell what may or may not be London footage. Sadly nothing was revealed about the film itself was revealed. Thanks to Feris O. for the link.

Freya the Dog and Anthony Hopkins Featurette
While the movie is still in production, that has not stopped a brief featurette from being posted about Freya the Dog. Freya is a dog in the UK that as labeled the "world's loneliest dog" due to spending six years in various animal shelters as unable to find a home for some reason (hat tip to the shelters for not euthanizing her, your donations at work). It looks like her and Sir Anthony Hopkins got on well enough. Thanks to Feris O. for the link.

Video, Pics from London TF5 Set
Transformers: The Last Knight continues to film. Below is a tweeted video of a brief sequence involving Bumblebee racing down a street at Lincoln's Inn Fields Holborn in London. In addition Coming Soon has posted a few pics of the lovely Laura Haddock prepping to film a scene involving the vehicle in what appears to be the same location. Sadly not much to post about TF5 this go around as Bay has taken a page from JJ Abrams and really locked his sets down by mostly filming in studios or on private property. Thanks to Feris O. for the heads-up.

Two Story Hints, Tucci and Croft Join Transformers 5 Cast
As filming continues in London, Transformers: The Last Knight has added two more to the cast as well as possible story hints. To start, the pic from Laura Haddock's Instagram shows a TF5 movie prop a gruesome medieval death, not really understanding what that is on the skull. Likely just a background plot but maybe more.
Speaking of medieval, Acting Auditions has posted a search for extras for Transformers 5:

The Bayhem Camera Records Some Transformers 5 Bayhem
On his Instagram account, Michael Bay has posted some Transformers: The Last Knight behind the scenes footage of an action sequence while it was being record on his new RED camera that was named Bayhem in honor of the director. Apparently it is now the "lightest, most advanced hand held motion picture camera in the world." All for tech but the idea of anything that encourages even more shaky cam in movies does not exactly bring me good cheer.

BTS of Transformers 5: Kids Running Wild
A new video posted on the Transformers movie Facebook page gives a look as the kid cast filming a scene for the movie with Michael Bay as they run from a likely Decepticon.

Bumblebee's TF5 Robot Mode
Here is the robot mode of Bumblebee for Transformers: The Last Knight as revealed via a tweet that says "Young, scrappy, and hungry." I am sure there are changes from the previous movies but they are too small for me to notice from looking at this.

New Behind the Scenes Video From Transformers 5 Set
On the official Instagram and Facebook accounts for Transformers: The Last Knight is a new behind the scenes video that appears to be from when the crew was in Arizona a few weeks ago. I guess technically it is in spoiler territory since it shows an action scene with some Bayhem involving helicopters and what looks like vehicles with the Delta symbol on them. Thanks to W. Ray for the link.
