As we all know TF2 is happening, I doubt we will get any such similar teaser this time round. The first teaser/trailer we got with actual movie footage, Skorpinok, Prime, etc... began development almost as soon as production began. Bay aimed for the trailer to be done by a certain date, regardless of the remainder of the movie being complete or not. If Bay has commissioned trailer for this, then my guess is a seperate team will have being working on it therefore THAT team can dedicate their time to the rendering required for the trailer ONLY! That team can leave the rest of the film to other guys and just concentrate on the trailer. We all saw footage of Skorpinok and Prime way before full production had actually wrapped.

In summary, the rendering involved in the trailer has nothing to do with the completion of the full movie... I think we'll have somehting by the year end at least!

P.s: the fact Paramount have already shipped a trailer for Star Trek clears the way for another Paramount trailer with a blockbuster... it only seems logical to me that TF2 (Paramount) will come with TDTESS (blockbuster) as well as being of a similar genre (sci-fi alien invasion).Simbatronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15478990394373634198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-43969692823540965212008-12-03T23:22:00.000-05:002008-12-03T23:22:00.000-05:00To the anonymous person 3 posts above this, let...To the anonymous person 3 posts above this, let's get one thing straight: I'm NOT saying that I know that half the movie is the trailer. But WHAT I DO KNOW is this: as stated in the SPECIAL FEATURES of the TF1 DVD, it takes 38 HOURS to render ONE FRAME OF ANIMATION. Now, YOU do the math: when it comes to 35mm film, how many frames are in a second? 24. Multiply that by 60, and then multiply that on and on, until you figure out how many hours it would take to render for a 2 1/2 hour movie, how many frames that would be, etc., etc., and you'll see for yourself, that's a DAMN HUGE amount of time. Also, KNOWING (or at best ,thinking to know based on all the stuff that's leaked out)that there's ALOT MORE ROBOTS THIS TIME AROUND, to me, is even more of a reason to consider the mathematics I just stated.

I also stated, "If I'm WRONG, then I'm wrong", especially knowing how Bay & Co. have been bullshitting to throw us off. I also said the following, which I will close with: WE'LL SEE.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-88541940752346669632008-12-03T18:53:00.000-05:002008-12-03T18:53:00.000-05:00Here's the primary issue everyone seems to be forg...Here's the primary issue everyone seems to be forgetting (sorry if I missed it). TARGET AUDIENCE. Ergo, I would bet there WON'T be a trailer before The Spirit. A graphic novel adaptation (that sorry, I had never heard of until the trailer), chock full of boobs, boobs, and more boobs in all likelihood, is not going to be the stage for a TF 2 announcement trailer. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the Spirit movie, but I've been to a dozen movies with that trailer in front, and I saw no excitement (or recognition for that matter) on anyone's face at any of them. Watchmen I could see, except it's a summer release. But remember, the teaser for the first movie (to the best of my knowledge - it's where I first saw it) debuted in front of Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Come on, think this through...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-55928255385037702412008-12-03T17:05:00.000-05:002008-12-03T17:05:00.000-05:00I can't wait until the trailer is revealed!! tf1 w...I can't wait until the trailer is revealed!! tf1 was a great movie and this should be the same!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-76819791269449490872008-12-03T16:10:00.000-05:002008-12-03T16:10:00.000-05:00To the anonymous a few posts above me who says the...To the anonymous a few posts above me who says there's "no way in hell" they can have a trailer ready by Dec. 12: why is that? You're making it sound as if half the movie is gonna be the trailer. I remember the teaser for TF1 being a few shots of Scorponok, the last stage of Optimus' transformation after his arrival and a bunch of cars driving around. I'm sure at this stage, with actual filming having wrapped up about a month ago, there should be enough bits of footage to make a 60-90 second teaser trailer. You don't need much for a teaser, hence the name.

Like almost everyone, I'm thinking teaser in December (either with TDTESS or The Spirit) and longer trailers with Watchmen and Star Trek. I wouldn't be surprised if Bay and Paramount release an online trailer too, since it seems to be a popular thing to do these days.

And, before I forget, the most interesting thing that I noticed about the follow-up filming at Edwards was the mention of "a couple of shiny silver sports cars." Could it just be the backup to the Corvette that's going to be in the film? Or, is one Corvette Sideswipe - as has been rumored - and the other Sunstreaker? Sorry guys, just couldn't post without speculating.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-13380328479594266612008-12-03T16:05:00.000-05:002008-12-03T16:05:00.000-05:00well then i guess my supersluething is gonna come ...well then i guess my supersluething is gonna come in handyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-9402264385610461022008-12-03T09:30:00.000-05:002008-12-03T09:30:00.000-05:00Don't forget about SuperBowl Sunday. I think some of this may be some of the tricks that Bay has pulled to confuse the hell out of us.

My prediction is this: there will be no TF trailer UNTIL either: a)christmas day, or b)New Years'. Even though the bulk of the film is in the can, there's NO WAY IN HELL they can have all the animation rendering done in time for a December 12th release, and there's no fucking way they could have a trailer cut UNLESS it's just the logo for TF2 and some quick shots WITHOUT ROBOTS in them.

I could be way off, but I'm trying not to get my horses up too high, and trying not to believe the hype.
