A robot shaped disturbance. Scientists on Earth see this and the information gets passed up the chain of command. In the White House men in black suits are breathlessly running through the halls, and they burst into the Oval Office. The president is behind the desk, back turned to the door, looking out the window. One of the men tells the president, 'Sir, something's happened on the Moon!' The president turns around.

It's John F. Kennedy.

Yes, the opening scene of Transformers 3 takes place in 1961 or 1962. The gist of the story has to do with the Transformers' involvement in the space race, and this is the reason why JFK was so hot to make sure America was first to the Moon. It sounds like a fun direction; there are a lot of stupid conspiracy theories about Neil Armstrong et al meeting ETs on the Moon, and this is a fun way to play with them. I hear this was Spielberg's idea, and it really does sound like something he'd come up with. If you're like me and you like the Spielberg-influenced Transformers but hate the mostly Spielberg-free Transformers 2, this is all good news."

Then the Moon is going to be Unicron I guess...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-23640413293596513322010-07-15T11:05:01.524-04:002010-07-15T11:05:01.524-04:00I follow your blog for a long time and must tell y...I follow your blog for a long time and must tell you that your posts always prove to be of a high value and quality for readers. I'm going to be out of town from Friday noon until Sunday night, so i'll just be missing it. I live right there, but don't realy have a view of the filming area.I would recomend that someone get into the Hyatt's west building and go to the end of the hallway. this should get you a pretty clear shot of the action.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12867340522087928528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-19805299158652039612010-07-14T21:43:47.471-04:002010-07-14T21:43:47.471-04:00you think it will be worth going to the area to ch...you think it will be worth going to the area to check out? i had heard the public were going to be kept further out, but according to the maps it seems people could still get close enough to catch a glimpse....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
