Its glitches and issues are caused by missing scenes that due to writers strike and production issues couldn't be completed on time for the theatrical release but that they probably even filmed.
The pace on the novel it's way better thanks to many short scenes that we didn't see on the movie but are well described there.
But despite its flaws Transformers 2 is still a very good movie, the fact is that without its issues it could have been absolutely perfect and if it had those missing scenes it would have been near perfect because the novel that is what the novel is.
And actually Transformers 2 does have too many robots with not enough robots/humans interaction and that's the whole point. But the novel does feature a lot more interaction thanks to those short scenes that the movie is lacking.
Let's hope a Director's Cut/Extended edition of Transformers2 will be released sooner than later with the CGI on missing scenes completed and those reintegrated back in the movie as they were supposed to be.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-3683184974285419552010-05-16T23:44:27.664-04:002010-05-16T23:44:27.664-04:00What they need to do is make a three hour movie wi...What they need to do is make a three hour movie with giant fights and a good story...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-79321923469483840492010-05-16T22:15:57.841-04:002010-05-16T22:15:57.841-04:00Hmmmm... this worries me.

But -- and this is the key -- we need more Transformers in well-written scenes and not merely in action parts of the movie. We need to care more about the robots because of how they are portrayed.

I thought the robots AND the humans were wasted in part II. We do need the heart back though. The first film had a lot of that, and that's why I think it succeeded. Part II really dropped the ball. Hard.

Shia's right, though, about it getting too big. I always thought that Devastator was a good metaphor for the movie as a whole -- big, loud, dumb and an enormously wasted opportunity.Pete Olivahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04806172444101290961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-23594708710435437092010-05-16T20:23:18.824-04:002010-05-16T20:23:18.824-04:00@Anonymous 5/16/2010 3:20 AM: You are the really i...@Anonymous 5/16/2010 3:20 AM: You are the really ignorant and childish one here. Your attacks against me are kinda pathetic and silly.
1) You obviously don't have a clue about what the Transformers franchise is about
2) Do you know that Unicron is a semi-God planet-size robot able to transform,uh? And so for you a giant Decepticon town would be unrealistic?
3) Stating that no one would believe a Decepticon city it's such a silly statement... it's Transformers, it's a sci-fi movie... that kind of character is part of the franchise and mythology seen on original comics and anime series thru the years... People would be amazed to see what ILM CGI could achieve for such a huge monster, more realistic than anything else. Also... Devastator as well all other Transformers people shouldn't believe if it was for you.. movies would have bombed if anything you said was true. Fortunately there are many people worldwide that respect and enjoy the franchise and can see how much realistic the CGI by ILM really is with giant metal aliens that really look alive on screen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-25812746493341565452010-05-16T03:20:23.708-04:002010-05-16T03:20:23.708-04:00lol anon at 3:20 that would be the dumbest and the...lol anon at 3:20 that would be the dumbest and the farthest from reality it could be...nobody would believe a whole city would be a robot lol u must be young such a wild imagination which is a good thing you should be a inventor..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-78002781302094039532010-05-15T15:20:57.198-04:002010-05-15T15:20:57.198-04:00Superion and Bruticus combiners should be in Trans...Superion and Bruticus combiners should be in Transformers3 as hints go with the earlier "leaked" "fake" script.
I hope that they added a giant Decepticon city... it would be better than introducing Unicron if a city like Chicago or Moscow turned out to be a giant hidden Decepticon and it would transform in the movie causing massive deaths and a real nightmare worldwide... such a monster would be able to quickly destroy countries worldwide..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-56988563549433449562010-05-15T10:32:50.777-04:002010-05-15T10:32:50.777-04:00Well, we had a lot of Humans dying already in the ...Well, we had a lot of Humans dying already in the second Movie, which was also in the Trailer, remember the Carrier, that the Decepticons took down.
On a larger scale, the Decepticons talked like they could destroy a city, this could lead to a Destruction of a bigger scale(maybe an A-Bomb-scale?).
I'm also wondering wether or not we're getting a bigger Bot than Devastator in the Sequel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-34534836216195962822010-05-14T23:05:10.534-04:002010-05-14T23:05:10.534-04:00^^^she better not....^^^she better not....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14846463.post-60276981191657171132010-05-14T20:06:23.699-04:002010-05-14T20:06:23.699-04:00Ooh goody!
