Stratosphere Bio

S250 has posted an image of the back of Voyager Stratosphere packaging to go along with the front from the other day so now we have his bio. In addition, click here for a gallery of Revenge of the Fallen Robot Heroes figures. The question remains is does the character show up in the movie and in robot mode.

Voyager Stratosphere Bio
When the Autobots need to be delivered to the front lines fast, they rely on Stratosphere. His cargo bay has enough room for an entire Autobot strike team, and his engines have enough power to get them all the way to the other side of the world in only a couple of hours. High altitude weapons allow him to deliver a punishing barrage against Decepticon targets on the ground as his comrades move in for the finish.

  1. The chances of a movie appearance have increased from 50/50 to 75/25. However i wont be buying him unless there is the tiny jet gun. The gun looked awsome and was very detailed. I wonder why they removed it?

  2. I hope he's in it, because how else will they travel from America to Asia and from Asia to Egypt? And if he's in it, I hope he kicks some serious butt.

  3. Oh, I just remembered something. Remember this scene? http://i44.tinypic.com/ad2azt.png Look at the Transformer in the back. The wings on the back and it's freakin' huge. I'm guessing it's Stratosphere coming to Sam and Mikaela's rescue. :D

Or he could just be a movie toy only...like the Osprey toy "Incinerator".

  10. well i hope stratosphere is in the movie due to the lack of autobots compared to decepticons. how will they win unless they have some heavy backup and like someone mentioned how are they gunna get from shanghai to egypt?

  11. I hope he's in it, because he could be a good match for Devastator. Stratosphere wouldn't be as big as Devastator, but with the help of 1 or 2 other Autobots, he should be able to kick some serious Contructicon ASS!

  12. i geuss somebody has to say it...."why cant jetfire take them there?"

i geuss it's because he's to old to fly

  13. IMHO, how they travel around the world, it's because they have NEST with them.. ... it's a Goverment Program that able to provide the Autobots their needs.
But yes, we do need Stratosphere, the Decepticons has 2 giant Robots, but again, there will be no surprise if there will be more autobots that has not been mentioned before, will be appear in the movie...

His alt mode is a SR-71 Blackbird. A spyplane/bomber. Which if Im not mistaken only sits 3-4 people or less.

  16. there were released pics a while back, of several of the autobots inside a id say C-130 Cargo plane. perhaps that will be Stratosphere, or just a military plane used by NEST to transport them all.

  17. What kind of a name is Stratosphere? If they couldn't use a preexisting Transformer, then why have a stupid name like that?

Anyways, he is probably in the movie. We have seen the plane a lot at that one part in the movie. How else could the Autobots get around? Springer and Jetfire aren't exactly able to take everyone (I am POSITIVE Springer is in this). The only question is how do the Decepticons get around?

  18. no way this cross country skiing autobot is in the film.

Aha. Cargo Plane is shorter then palm tree)))

  20. That with the 2 bots is definitely not Stratosphere. Why would the army fire at him and why would he be so short? Not even Arcee would fit in that. The only bot that could be Stratosphere of the bots we've seen so far is the one the Third poster here said.

  21. I seriously doubt he's in the movie as a transformer. Even his bio is a bit vague. Hasbro will try and make money from anything they can (...and why shouldn't they?) I'm a bit confused when some are saying that he has to be in the movie or how else can the autobots travel. Well.... they can travel in a cargo plane whether it is a transformer or not. Isn't that obvious?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ummmmmm.....isnt it obvious...? Stratosphere IS the cargo plane used by the NEST team. why would they use a normal plane when they could use a plane that changes into a giant f-ing robot? There is that clip that we have seen where jetfire is walking around bitchin' and moaning about some shit and he's standing right next to like 20 of those planes. perfect transition for one of them to jump out as a robot that was hiding. it would make perfect sense if he AS WELL AS several other robots we dont know about are in the movie.

  24. to anon 4:21...

ok you completely missed my point.

I'm questioning why people are saying for eg "I hope he's in it, because how else will they travel from America to Asia and from Asia to Egypt?"

Answer: they can use a cargo plane that isn't transformer.

But if they use a cargo plane that isn't a transformer, then they always have to rely on humans. And that would be a lot slower if you ask me. So it would be way easier to have Stratosphere in it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well obviously they have to rely on humans in some cases. Heard of N.E.S.T?

Listen, i'm not saying Stratosphere "the autobot" isn't in the movie but he doesn't HAVE to be in it like some people are suggesting. Get the difference?

Personally i'd prefer not have him in. I always prefer this impending doom feeling. When you feel like there is no hope. It's just a bit too predictable, "ooh look the decepticons have a huge big robot.....Oh its ok we conveniently have one too". Not very imaginative in my opinion.

Aye. That is also my wish. Got a feeling lotsa new Autobots are being kept a secret to surprise us all.

  28. OK its not like having Stratosphere is going to help the Autobots in anyway fighting devistator. seriously you guys think they are gonna rely on one no-name robot being their ace in the hole? first of all i dont know if you guys noticed but that one robot whith the big wheels going down the freeway (forgot his name) is like 3 times the size of prime. AND THATS JUST ONE PIECE OUT OF 6 (possibly 7). Devistator is going to be f-ing HUGE. you could have 3 stratosphere sized robots and they wouldnt be as big as devistator. movies like this are very predictable. there is going to be a few options on how to kill devistator (if they do).

first of all some of you may hate this idea but i'd say there is a chance autobots and decepticons team up because the fallen/devistator get outta control and thats the only way to keep them from destroying everybody good and bad. pretty typical luke skywalker/darth vader vs. darth sidious kinda thing...or magneto and co./x-men vs. william stryker and crazy mindcontrol mutant....or Neo and machines vs. agent smith. whatever your analogy, its been done before and it could happen here with transformers.

second choice i'd say is there will be some special ancient weapon that gets discovered but can only be used by a certain person (sam probabally) some sorta "chosen one" bullshit.

Third option i'd say somebody is going to seriously sacrifice something or themselves to kill him. kinda like optimus trying to destroy the cube in the first movie by killing himself only it'll be some crap like throw yourself into devistators reactor core (or whatever) and he gets all jammed up and dies.

Finally theres the good old fashoned "tossed into and alternate dimention/universe one. or locked in a special prison type thing like in the old superman movies.

All I'm saying is there will be a big fight with conventional weapons but something special is going to have to happen to finally kill these big bad guys off.
