Hasbro released a bunch of official images from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon toys. One of them accidently revealed one of the bigger secrets Transfans has been trying to work out. As the images below show, the red Ferrari 458 Italia is named Mirage. It is too early to tell if he sports any homage to the G1 character but the change from blue to red color scheme is clearly not one of them. Now all that is left is the names of the rest of the Decepticons and the Einstein character (my guess is Wheeljack). There is also an image of "Big Hoss" with Monster Truck alt mode. No idea if this is based on a movie character. really digging the look of that scan series deluxe ironhide. i mean even though this is a repaint it's the fact that they used both the clear plastic and paint apps that makes this figure just bad ass all around putting this next to my other ironhide when i see it =D

ReplyDeleteI'm really interested to see how many "named" decepticons there will be...I'm expecting Megatron, Shockwave, Starscream, Soundwave, Lazerbeak, Crankcase and a bunch of drones or repaints.

ReplyDeleteThere were lots of toys in the toyline for the first two movies who's characters weren't in the movies. Plus Bay said no Dinobots.

I think the Discovery shuttle is Silverbolt just my guess. The Autobots have a scene with the shuttle(rumor).

ReplyDeleteWinton Ray, I totally agree with you, except I don't think Crankcase will be named in the movie. Maybe that big rotating thing will have a name? Or that large decepticon(I suppose) that tilts the building with Sam in it.

ReplyDeleteWheelie, Brains and Wheeljack. What if Wheeljack gets wrecked and when he's rebuilt, Wheelie and Brains will become his partners and make Wheeljack a Headmaster. There has already been Pretenders in ROTF, so why not to have even one Headmaster in DOTM?
ReplyDeleteI mean that either Wheelie or Brains is too small to become a head, so they could form it together whil Wheeljack would be in his robot form with Mercedes-Benz as an Earth mode.
ReplyDeleteI just love how they get a Corvette and call it Sideswipe,then get a blue race car and call it Topspin, and then get a red Ferrari and call it Mirage. Corvette Sideswipe acts like Tracks so why not call him Tracks. Then its like oh sh*t we got the rights to use a red Ferrari but can't call it Sideswipe now so we'll call it Mirage even though we have a blue racecar in the movie already that we are calling Topspin (traditionally a futuristic boat plane). Im waiting for a boatplane transformers called Tracks. Thats my next guess for a transformer in DOTM.

But he's totally different than the "Einstein-Bot"
So probably Wheeljack is not in DOTM.
Could be the "Einstein-bot" PERCEPTOR? He's a scientist as well
