Tranformers 7 Casts The Voice of Optimus Primal

Collider is reporting that Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Pacific Rim, bunch of others) has been cast as the voice of Optimus Primal in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.  The actor voiced the character before for Transformers: Power of the Primes Youtube series that streamed back in 2018.  He will join previously announced voice actor Peter Cullen who will reprise his role as the voice of Optimus Prime.

The actor is a good choice for the character so but can't help but feel a small amount of sadness. Fans (including myself), where hoping original Beast Wars voice of Primal, Garry Chalk, would be chosen it seems that is not meant to be. The quick turnaround on this announcement indicates this and likely other voice casting is probably close to concluding. Could be wrong as there are plenty of voice cast members yet to be announced.  Thanks to Feris O. for the link.
