A new TV spot has hit YouTube. In this one you get a better look at Optimus and more importantly, he speaks. Thanks to site readers for the information and the screenshot pic.- Dang. The video was pulled from YouTube at the request of Paramount Pictures just as I was about to post this. If I happen to find a copy of it I will post about it here.

ok the mouth on optimus freaks me out a little. But I will probably get used to it as the movie progresses
ReplyDeleteI dont know if it was just me, ut didnt Optimus Prime's voice seem a like it had a little more bass in it than in the G1 cartoons? My guess is that its just that the capture quality is a lil below average and when the film is released it will be a lil bi closer to the G1 Prime voice.

ReplyDeleteActually, that's how Prime's voice will sound. Cullen is older now, and apparently Bay wanted a nice, deep voice for Prime.
Actually, from the voice cast that's been confirmed so far, all of them have rather deep voices. I'm guessing they wanted BIG FUCKING ROBOTS to have big voices too.
Everything looks cool except his mouth. I mean why did they puted a normal and battle mode anyway.I guess we will be seeing him like this for some time now... Holy crap his face looks like crap XD

ReplyDeleteTo me, from what I'm seeing so far, the movies looks fake. I think the face looks cool though. It's more emotional, but it kinda contridicts the idea of making them look more alien or whatever. If it's face gonna look like that, why everbody's faces has to change to be so far from human?

ReplyDeleteActually, with the low mouth, shape of the nose and eyes, Prime sort of resembles the Autobot symbol. Check out this front view of Prime with a mouth:
