Ben Proctor, Lead Robot Illustrator for Transformers, has posted up many designs, videos and explanations for the movie version of Transformers. Be sure to click all the images as they are not just thumbnails of the entire picture but a window into just one portion of the whole. Definitely a must see website for any Transfan. Thanks to readers for the link.Interesting discoveries includes Blackout naming goes from Devastator to Incinerator and then Blackout. Design work for the Transformers apparently started in mid to late 2005 with final designs confirmed around February 2006. Awesome prop that should get re-created and sold - Frenzy's blades. I noticed that Frenzy's design work went up to June 06, probably because no toy would designed so didn't need to give Hasbro the same year plus lead time for toy production. Other pics of note include the Mountain Dew bot, Toaster-bot used in the Dew commerical, Nokia Bot, and AllSpark which has lots of detail on its surface.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure he did the best he could given that someone told him exactly what to do. This stuff is ugly. Glowing nipples for eyes, fish lips, too many little tiny parts hanging off, and Bumblebee with a S&M ball in his mouth(no doubt the real reason he could not speak).

Oh, and "Yes." I am a hater. I it when the Transformers look ugly. This is what's left when Unicron has bad Mexican planets for dinner and has to sit on the uni-Jon all day.
Why even bother with the sleek cars when they become hardly finished animated jump piles? Why can't sleek cars become sleek robots????? WHY????

When you have hero online money, and than you can go on this game. Of cause, when you are first to play, you can hero money. If you have enough buy hero gold, you will be able to different games.
