Jetfire Fan Concept Art
From "Jolin" and "Jester" over at the Don Murphy forums comes the below Transfan made concept art of Jetfire based off the SR-71 Blackbird alt mode. It’s a pretty damn good design that gives off the impression of power. Click their names for more art and other things. Thanks to Rich for the info.

ReplyDeleteI think Jetfire is "The Fallen". Here's my theory.
ReplyDeleteDecepticon Jetfire for some reason had come to Earth but deactivated some how. Thus, we humans were able to capture him and put him on display in the Smithsonian. Maybe the story line of TF2 will be Jetfire transition from Decep to Auto.
Everybody is so caught up with the possiblity of Constructicons that they aren't paying much attention to this potentially huge character. I have little doubt Jetfire will be the primary focus of TF2.
This concept art looks pretty good by the way. I'm sure the actual rendering will be similar.

No way an amateur could come up with a design like that. It's obviously made by a professional working in the field...
To the poster above me, have you never been to imdb? Right after the first movie came out, the boards were flooded with people posting their own movie designs for G1 Transformers and almost all of them looked professionally done like this one.

I think he will be mainly Black with red here and there. But other than that very accurate. I would like to see him and starscream duke out in the air and ground. I mean that would be sweet

Dude, just because you collect toys doesn't mean you have to be a kid. If you have a deep fan-base or hobby in something when you WERE a kid and still hold some ties to it (definitely Trans fans) your probably more than likely to collect a few toys. IMO

ReplyDeleteThis is an AWESOME fan drawing. Jolin and Jester JJZ are amazing artists - they aren't employees of ILM or Hasbro, but in my opinion they'd certainly qualify. I also draw my own Transformers characters (more of the G-1 style).
ReplyDeleteTo the guy that has problems with adults collecting TF figures: let me make this clear - I collect them, NOT PLAY WITH THEM. To me, collecting Transformer figures is just like a fine arts lover collecting recordings of classical music pieces or the works of Picasso, Dali and other painters, or a car enthusiast collecting and or customizing classic cars. In other words, it is a HOBBY, and being that I am a new Father with a Beautiful soon to be 2-years old Daughter, and a Beautiful Wife, I collect WITHIN REASON, as I have another mouth to feed, bills to pay just like everyone else that's over the age of 17, and last, but not least, a life.
its bad ass that transformers 2 has 20 robots in it but the one thing that i find unsettling is that Jetfire is actually an AUTOBOT from the start. It would be nice to see Jetfire and Optimus Prime combine to form a unbeatable bot. Michael Bay if you read this make it happen!!

ReplyDeleteEep is that the supposed design for Jetfire!! He looks totally rockin!!! He has a very keen face. And looks positively badass. He's one of my favorite transformers second only to Bumblebee.
ReplyDeleteAh and person above me Jetfire started out a Decepticon then went on to become a autobot and I think or at least I hope they have him make the transition in the movie. They better not make him completely a decepticon but I don't think they will. I do think it's awesome how he comes from both sides and in the end went to right side.
This makes me so excited I love what they did with his design even if this isn't the finished one or just one some one made it's coming along nicely I think. Either way I think he will look great in the end.
Ah and yes I'm an adult and I COLLECT transformers I don't play with them they just stay on a shelf in my room. Actually in my humble opinion they are worth buying. Ah and FYI they are ACTION FIGURES. And yes I agree with the others it's a hobby. So quit judging people.

that is a big ass transfomer. don't know about him being 70+ feet tall, thats ultra magnus size there.

Okay, for one: Jetfire was an autobot from the start, crash landed on Earth, thawed by the decepticreeps and was told the Autobots was evil, He tried to fight, but realized the confusion, and sent Megatron back to Cybertron, but destroyed himself in the process. For two: Kick ass artwork. For three: Collecting toys is a hobby for people of all ages. Understand if you don't know the history of TF, then watch the G1 series from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteok for the guy that said jetfire was an autobot to start, if u remember he was neither he and starscream were fellow scientists who were exploring earth when jetfire froze up and crashed and this was before the great war broke out so actually none of the bots were auto or decep yet but any way this artists rendition of jetfire is totally kickasss pro or not

My biggest problem with the movie is the designs of most of the transformers
The worst one is Iron-hide.
Can you really tell what is going on from torso to bottom???
In the action stills, I cannot tell the difference between his crotch and his leg joint, and I’m talking a STILL RENDER!!! No motion blur!!!!

Jetfire dies in the second one correct? So why not have him be rebuilt in the third movie with this new "younger", more manuverable look, and teach starscream a lesson!
