Nelson here..It probably ended around the same time that Shia was spotted at LAX so October 27th or 28th. Now begins the editing of the film together, finalizing of FX work for scenes, working on the music, sound effects and casting of the Transformer voices. Thanks to Rich for the heads-up.
As of this week, principal photography for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has ended.
Congrats to Michael and his team.
To echo the above, congratulations to Michael and the cast and crew of Transformers 2. Also a big thanks from me to all the site readers for the information they provided and keeping me (and therefore everyone else) up to date on the movie production.
There is still a lot of work for Bay and company to do (including getting that teaser trailer together) so still plenty to post about in the future.
I sure hope bonecrusher is back on this trailer!!!!!
ReplyDelete*Tears* OMG This is horrible!!
ReplyDeleteNo more updates of onset shooting!!
Omg i need to turn on some EMO and go cry in my pillow...
This hurts
Finnaly!
ReplyDeleteNow, we have to wait for the thiller.
Two words, MB.
Bring IT!
This is horrible news...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go cut myself now ...
Wait... Was there any shooting of the constructicons?!!
ReplyDeletePlease tell me DEvastator will be in it.. I don't like the idea of pure cgi...!! SOS SOS SOS SOS!!
It seems like yesterday when principle photography was just starting...
ReplyDeleteYAY, now I can sit back and start my TF toy lookouts. hehehe
ReplyDelete14 MORE DAYS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTRAILER!
TRAILER!
TRAILER!
TRAILER!
TRAILER!
14 more days to what?? How you know we're getting a trailer in 14 days?? With what film. I must admit... it does look a touch ominous for the Constructicons...not seen any on-set photos of them!!
ReplyDeleteHe/she's probably referring to Quantum of Solace, the new Bond flick.
ReplyDeletei hope they show it with the new bond film, but with only two weeks to edit and create the trailer.. i dont know.. bay is all about perfection
ReplyDeleteThe new Bond flick came out here in the UK on Friday (31st). I've not seen it yet so I don't know if there's any trailer attached to it...something tells me there won't be though.

ReplyDeleteIt costs THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to RENT a real machine just to have it drive around all day burning hundreds of gallons of diesel? breaking up the roads due to the extreme weight? the fact that some machines move sloooooow?
I think they thought of that and said "hmm, i think CGI would be cheaper"
I run a crane for a living, i know the price just to rent a machine for a few days.. with the cost of diesel now a days...
CGI is the way to go
Hey it's the 14daytrailerguy
ReplyDeleterichard was right, i was refering to quantum of solace.
kait puts up a very convincing argument.
i forgot the quantum of solace movie came out early (1/2 a month earlier) in britain. if the trailer had been attached we'd have known by now. then again the US release may have it. only time will tell. but there are only a few more paramount movies out this year.
·madagascar 2
·how to lose friends and alienate people
·angus, thongs and perfect snogging
·the curious case of benjamin button
·jackass 3
·the time traveler's wife
my money's on madagascar :)
OH YESSSSSSS! Shooting of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is finally ready! YAAAAAAHOOOOOO! :D
ReplyDeleteDo you remember the teaser for the first movie? It was pretty short and simple. I'm sure they scheduled it so any material for previews was shot first. I'm not sure if it's 14 days away, but I'm sure we will see something before the year is over...
ReplyDeleteIf anyone's watching The Simpsons tonight, they're doing a Transformers spoof. It looks good in the commercial.
ReplyDeleteSomething as epic as TF2 would not a have Teaser released with a film like madagascar.... It's either James Bond, Star Trek, or just the usual internet release. If anything, the trailer is already done.
ReplyDelete"The new Bond flick came out here in the UK on Friday (31st). I've not seen it yet so I don't know if there's any trailer attached to it...something tells me there won't be though."
ReplyDeleteSaw the quantum of Solace last night, no TF2 or Star Trek for that matter
So I guess news is going to be slow now
ReplyDeletewill this movie suck?? uh-oh! less filming time than 1st film!!
ReplyDeleteBut they did say that the TFs themselves would get a lot more screen time, so a lot of it will be in CGI. Thats what takes the time to do!
ReplyDeletebut constructicons were not seen on set, none of the 7 supposed vehicles, none. none.
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean the vehicles will only be CGI, that sucks. We need real vehicles in shooting, then when transforming CGI takes place, not cGI all the way.
how about the stealth bomber being one of Starscreams buddies?
ReplyDeleteI saw a shot but not sure if it was thundercracker or skywarp.
Does anyone recall??
I have Proof: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=9344
ReplyDeleteThis here must be thundercracker, starscream, ramjet and skywarp anyone agree????????????????????
ReplyDeleteProduction and post-production time is irrellevant. I'm sure they are a lot more polished and efficient in their filming and CG processes after the first film.
ReplyDeleteAs far as a November trailer goes.....I suppose it's possible if they started doing some of the CG sequences earlier in the filming. Bay supposidly took a short break in filming in June to do some work on the effects. But if a trailer comes out in November I doubt it will feature many robots. I'd expect the trailer in December.
Hey chad what do you comment on this? http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=9344
ReplyDelete"Hey chad what do you comment on this? http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=9344"
ReplyDeleteErrrmmm... Four totaly not TF flying throug the sky...? Cause... What else does planes do?
Those 4 jet fighters are the Aerialbots... they will combine with Jetfire to form Superion... The Autobots gestalt answer to the Constructicons.
ReplyDelete"Those 4 jet fighters are the Aerialbots... they will combine with Jetfire to form Superion... The Autobots gestalt answer to the Constructicons."
ReplyDeleteSarcasm. I like that!
NO F#3??!@ way man!! This better be thundercracker, skywarp, ramjet & STARSCREAM!! http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=9344"
ReplyDeleteReadeing what the guy above me... ergh... write... I think that childerns, that aren't at least 12 years shouldn't have internet or a computer...
ReplyDeleteaerial bots are the constructicons, no?
ReplyDelete"aerial bots are the constructicons, no?"
ReplyDeleteGeez, go read a wiki you idiot...
Those 4 jets are the Aerialbots... geez...
ReplyDeleteHmmm... how about:
ReplyDeleteGiven Michael Bay's desire to keep giant transforming robots as realistic as possible, that many vehicles could yield a positively monstrous robot. A rendering of what "Long Haul," one of the seven, might look like, is further fanning the flames in the 'former forums already overrun with rampant flame-wars over the veracity of the claim. Of course, in the giant robot arms race, if one side has giant merging robot capabilities, you have to assume the other will step up to the plate in kind. Can somebody say "Aerialbots?"
aerialbots = sarcasm.
ReplyDeletelooser..
"aerialbots = sarcasm.
ReplyDeletelooser.."
If sarcasm suck, than you are a looser, looser.
