Listening to a new version of a track I'm playing on for Busta Rhymes for the Transformers 2 soundtrack. Shit is jammin'.So far that is all I could find on this subject. I am not sure if that means he and Busta Rhymes are working together on a track or if he was just sampling it for the rapper. Nor if the track is a solo effort from Barker or for the entire band. Thanks to Alan for the heads-up.
Update: Based on reading various websites, it seems the overall interpretation of the above is that Busta Rhymes is working on a track with an assist by Travis Barker. According to Alan, Barker worked on hip hop remixes with his drums replacing the beat Probably the track list to the soundtrack will come out by the end of April.
FIZZ-IRST!!!
ReplyDeleteThat would be tight. I'm a big fan of Busta, and it'd be cool to hear a track with Barker on it.
ReplyDeleteOh geez...I cannot stand Blink 182. I hear the lead singer's voice and it makes me want to punch a baby.
ReplyDeleteTaken literally it sounds like he's doing the drum part to a Busta Rhymes song that will be on the soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteThough it would be awesome if theres a blink song on the soundtrack. would make sense with them coming back this year.
@anonymous: which singer, because if you really do know who blink-182 is then you would know there are 2 singers.
ReplyDelete@anonymous commenter#3 blink is the best fucking band ever! and travis is a drumming god!! and nathan i also agree with nathans comment and @anonymous commenter #2 he already has a track with busta he did a remix for dont touch me
ReplyDeleteno i think Travis is gonna cover the beat part of the song with Busta Rhymes. Travis have done similar with The Game as well. so probably no blink 182.
ReplyDeleteIts most likely a track from The Travis Barker remix album which is out this year. There is a Busta Rhymes track on it called "Dont Touch Me".

Anon # 3 is an idiot. He's referring to Tom but you can f-off. Blink is the best in the world... Thank goodness they're back together!
ReplyDeleteI was going to post a comment about how blink-182 was no more and how you blog was a mistake, but to my surprise I checked into it and blink is back together. I never would have thought.

I'd love it if it was blink on the soundtrack. A big way to make your grand re-entrance.
ReplyDeletebut sadly, this sounds like barker-only
Blink 182 expired in 1998, but hopefully like the last movie the orchestral score will be the main focus.
ReplyDeleteAt least if there's no Disturbed this time around, I'll be happy
I'm not familiar with Blink-182, but I'll be sure to look them up. I'm not too into Busta Rhymes either. I just hope the soundtrack has some more Styles of Beyond, [in my opinion] "Second to None" was the best song off the disc.
ReplyDelete@Blink-182fans: Please realize that not everyone has the same taste in music as you, nor shun anyone else's choices of artists as it varies from person to person.
OPTIMUS PRIME & BUSA BUSS BITCHES...hmmm i might just go get this soundtrack
ReplyDeleteI really liked the first song soundtrack (AND the score as well). Don't get me wrong, I'm not the biggest fan of any of the bands featured but I still listen to it repeatedly because I'm a freak. haha
ReplyDeleteRemember that not everyone has the same tastes. I enjoy listening to hip-hop, orchestral, R&B, alternative punk, and others. And with that, I'm looking forward to the ROTF song and score soundtrack!
Personally i havent heard of this band however i do not like rap music that much so i will probably not be getting this soundtrack. As long as its not in the film i am okay but Rap music is not the sort of thing i associate with transformers at all. I have nothing against Rap music it just isnt my taste in music.

ReplyDeleteThis is whats wrong with music. Rap is only used to insult people or cause offense. I am now praying to god to try ad somehow make sure he doesnt insult any of the transformers i like. Has anyone actually understood most Rap music it seems all silly too me. Instead of using child friendly words they use swear words in every song.
they just better have a rock version of the transformers theme instead of that really really dumb techno one from the first one.
ReplyDeleteI hope this isn't true, Transformers deserves a better band. Blink 182 is for kids, something more serious please.
ReplyDeleteWell even busta rhymes would go that far and make this some kinda of gangsta.....WAIT A MIN didnt ultra magnus and spike cuss in the animated movie and isnt there any fight scenes in all three?? and most importantly wouldnt they also make this pg 13??? HMMMMM seriously if busta did cuss on this song it wouldnt be much at all.

for kids? pffttt... seriously you havent been to any of their concerts.
"blink 182 is for kids"
ReplyDeleteAnd Toy cars which transform into Toy robots isn't???
Lets not forget the Linkin Park track on the first movie which ended up being quite popular.

MAJOR FAIL on my last post...i meant linkin park
ReplyDeleteWhat kinds of kids listen to Linkin Park and Blink 182? What, the rowdy high school teenagers who play basketball, chase girls, drive fast cars, and COLLECT TOY ROBOTS???
ReplyDeleteI mean, C'MON. This is NOT the 80's anymore. That's so 20 years ago.
folks im working on the soundtrack for the film, well the actual score, but the soundtrack is a Busta song with Trav. Its real good.

ReplyDeleteI take offense at your statement. Now, while I also have an issue with what mainstream media outlets FALSELY pass off as the end-all be-all definition of Hip Hop and Rap music ( as well as those ignorant, arrogant corporate suits and the idiotic "artists" that aid and abet them), I also take issue with those who obviously can't see through all the misrepresentations, and the misrepresenters guilty of perpetrating said misrepresentations. Unless YOU know the history of Rap and Hip-Hop, and more significantly the history of how CORPORATE AMERICA's involvement has mutated and changed Hip Hop from it's ORIGINAL manifestation and purpose, you should just admit that you don't know what you're talking about. Rap and Hip Hop go back much, much farther than the 1970s in Brooklyn (no disrespect to the early pioneers, though) and it is alot more than what some half-ass video show shows you.
Personally, I USED to like Busta Rhymes when he FIRST came out with that group Leaders of the New School back in the day, and also when he was hanging with A Tribe Called Quest - but when he started doing crap like, "Pass the Courvoisier" I had to turn him off - and I can't stand alot of these so-called "Top 10", "Hot" current top selling, "Hip Hop artists". To me, they are imposters who have wasted their creativity and abilities.
In closing, as much as I love Hip Hop and Transformers, I am leery of what combining those two things would produce - unless it was one of the more accurate, though-provoking, positive artists repping the artform correctly.
You guys are sounding a lil biased right now. You can't equate TF to any one genre of music. Anyone from anywhere can be a fan of TF wether they like Busta Rhymes or DataRok or Britney Spears. To try to assign TF a certain type of musical genre is stupid. The soundtrack should have Rock, Rap, Pop, and maybe even an R&B track. remember We are trying to bring in as many veiwers as possible. Why wouldn't you include diffrent types of music.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think Madden NFL always has Rock and Rap on the soundtrack. To bring in diffrent folks who all love the same thing.
This is whats wrong with music. Rap is only used to insult people or cause offense. I am now praying to god to try ad somehow make sure he doesnt insult any of the transformers i like. ReplyDeletewhats crackin' little bitches
I know Snortpocket.
ReplyDeleteWho the hell was thast Mary Poppins.
Who is this... Budda... Rythms...?
ReplyDeleteSnortpocket...LMFAO....classic as always....*tips his hat to Snortpocket*!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteAdmit it, Blaster is your least favorite transformer (he transforms into the kind of stereo a BLACK person might own!)
I am now praying to god to try ad somehow make sure he doesnt insult any of the transformers i like.
I'm still trying to make sense of this sentence. Are you afraid Busta is going to call out Starscream in a diss?
STARSCREAM SUCKS, THIS YOU CAN BET
I RODE HIS MAMA LIKE A PASSENGER JET
Thanks
