ReplyDeleteSo I wonder if Megs will be a triple changer in the movie itself?
ReplyDeleteWOW! I'm so buying this book when it comes out!! :D
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Devastator 'cannot achieve his full upright stance'. But, even if he's crouched down in a quadrepedal pose, 46 feet seems a little short. I was guessing that he'd be at least 80 feet crouched over and over 130 feet upright (if he could).
I really like The Fallen's height of 42 feet. Taller than Megatron and Prime, yet not too big as to make him freakishly big to other Transformers.
I'm interested in seeing all the other characters and their pages.
All of the characters look cool. Now, dont eat me everyone who disagrees with me,please, I think The Fallen might take over the Decepticons and maybe kill Megatron. If he is supposed to be this ultimate robot of doom, why wouldnt he?
ReplyDeleteOh my god jesus! I MUST have this book! That is so freakin' awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh come on! This is interesting and all, but why couldn't they have gotten the pages with the characters that we haven't seen much of and don't know their movie likenesses much like Jolt, Arcee bots, Soundwave, or Sideswipe.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Mudflap is now my favorite character because he has ADHD like me!!!!!! =D
Nothing new except a discription. Nice though . . . How they made up a whole story so they didnt have to cover the head in tank mode :)
ReplyDeleteAccording to the book Megatron is a tripple changer as Spoiler:
He flys to mars as his jet form and attacks sam in tank form :)
wow so if megatron really is a triple changer i would really like to see how that play's out in the movie but where is blackout i want a bio or something
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, TylerMirage, in thinking that even crouched, Devastator should be taller than 42 ft. Based on some stats I've seen of the other Constructicons, Long Haul himself stands approximately 40 ft. and he's the right leg of Devastator. Look at Demolisher smashing into Optimus Prime in previews for this upcoming movie. Demolisher's 3 to 5 times taller than Optimus Prime and Prime stands around 25 to 30 ft. at least (Prime stood taller than Sam's parent's two-story home).
ReplyDeleteThey refer to "Scavenger" as being part of the Constructicons that form Devastator, instead of Demolisher. I knew they would run into a problem with names and stuff when the Bonecrusher name was used in the first movie to name the minesweeper vehicle Decepticon that Optimus Prime beheaded beneath the highway. As for using the name Hightower instead of Hook for any Constructicon crane, past and present since the original, I guess it has something to do with licenses and name ownerships.
I agree with the above comment I hope there is one about Blackout.
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to mention, as far as the naming of the transformers...
ReplyDeleteUsing "Rampage" to replace the "Bonecrusher" name for the Constructicon bulldozer, I hope they aren't planning on bringing in the Predacons in future movie sequels.
Not to mention that the name Brawl (introduced as a Combaticon in the original television cartoon series) was used to name the tank for the toy line, yet when he was introduced as a tank in the actual movie, he referred to himself as Devastator.
I understand the freedom of creativity in making fantastical science fiction, but Michael Bay really should have referred to the original cartoon series when naming these characters and when choosing their paint colors.
wolverine, good point on the predacons point, forgot about that. my guess is we won't see predaking because they just wouldn't be big enough. 5 animals together probably have less mass than some of those construction vehicles. Ironic since Predaking was the biggest combiner toy.
ReplyDeleteit says that mudflap has ADD lol bay loves his "REAL LIFE" emotions
ReplyDeletewhy do they only mention 5 constructicons In DEvS bio!? WTF
ReplyDeleteWow, Mudflap is kind of like me. A.D.D. Plus he's orange (my favorite color).
ReplyDeleteWill definitely be buying this! Thanks for the heads-up blog guy!
ReplyDeleteWow this really looks cool. May get it after the movie comes out (less spoilers).
ReplyDeleteThe writers of that book clearly pulled all the numbers out of their asses. Look at Devastator's weight: 24 metric tons.
ReplyDeleteDevastator only weighs 24 tons?!
The RH400, which is Demolishor's alt mode, has a weight of 980 metric tons!
I know that the Decepticons are made of Cybertronian metal and all, but honestly. An M1 Abrams battle tank weighs 61 tons. The biggest transformer ever in the movies weighs less than half of what an Abrams weighs?
Don't even get me started on the dumb "this sounds techy" names they point out on the models. The Fallen's toes are "mass distribution greaves". Do they even know what a greave is?
Oh, and Megatron's engine apparently has 450 horsepower... whereas an M1 Abrams tank has 1500 HP.
ReplyDeleteWow. They REALLY didn't do their homework, did they?
^^^ nope!
ReplyDeleteI get the feeling Megatron's toy won't be able to triple change.
ReplyDeleteyeah the tech items they point to are aimed at a very young child, one who won't question the material.
ReplyDeletebut i think we can see how off the novelization is though from here, the fallen is trapped in another dimension, which makes a lot more sense than him joy riding in outer space. (and also strangely forgetting where he set up the sun harvester.)
The Demolisher & Scavenger thing has been long resolved thanks to the person who decided to spoil EVERYTHING in the name of getting info out... ***SPOILERS***
ReplyDeleteDemolisher is killed by Optimus Prime in the first scene with a little help from Ironhide and NEST. Sideways gets "skewered" by Sideswipe but that is beside the point. Scavenger is just one of the random Decepticons that show up for the final battle (a TON of unnamed Decepticons just kind of appear out of nowhere and start fighting people and beating up structures.) He is the one that makes up Devy. Constructicon is an abused name in this movie because it is given to every Decepticon that turns into a vehicle.
so stupid that megatron uses depleted uranium shells.
ReplyDeletewhere is the imagination? guy comes from across the galaxy only to use human made ammo?
So, does this book just cover ROTF, or will some of the robots in the first movie be covered? (like Bonecrusher, Jazz and BrawL)
ReplyDeleteI know why Devastator has the green stuff in his mouth :)
ReplyDeleteIts because the visual effects for the spinning disks in his mouth were not complete in time so they were going to lay it over the top of the green however it wasnt complete and was released early.
Here is a list of Combiners that need to be included soon:
Superion
Bruticus
COme on guys, Why come up with a bunch of sci-fi-ey stuff that we can't relate? I'll give you that "toes" would have been easier, but then we should call them "Eyes" not optics. Depleted uranium is somethignt hat people know, or at least knpow the stereotypes. It sounds nasty. And nothing says that an element on Earth or a mental disorder can't also occur on Cybertron as naturally as one can get with giant alien robots.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see about Devy's height, but I Don't see why he could n't be so short bent over, Look at the pic again, the legs are horizontal moreso than vertical. Likely, he could stand up taller than the 46 to rear up and attack, much like a gorilla. That's why he seems Taller than Prime then and is short now.
Incomplete or not, the mouth glowing is very cool
I will send more pics of this book as soon as I find them.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the DinoBots on the sequel
