As part of the marketing blitz for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The HD Room is reporting that beginning June 16th Paramount is releasing additional bonus features for owners of the first Transformers on Blu-ray and DVD. For Blu-ray owners, they can use BD-Live to access the features, for DVD owners (like me) hope you have an access code mixed in the packaging otherwise you will have to wait until it leaks to the internet to watch. Thanks to joshuachacon7 for the link.
The 25 minutes or so of bonus features include:
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Sneak Peek — Footage from the new film
- From the set of Revenge of the Fallen: Day 1 — An exclusive inside look at the - first day of shooting
- From the set of Revenge of the Fallen: A Day in the Shade — A comical look at the differences between Megan and Shia's on-set treatment
- Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes from Transformers
- Fly on the Set: Pentagon — On the set filming of the Pentagon Military Command Center
- Music and Mayhem — Renowned special effects house ILM deconstructs the blockbuster action of Transformers
- Metal in Motion — Special effects tests and early robot animation
- Stunts 101 — An in-depth look at the amazing stunts in Transformers
- Choose Your Weapon —A fly on the wall glimpse into the selection of weapons and how they were used by the film's soldiers
- The Man in the Ice — From design to production, watch the Arctic come to life on various sets in Los Angeles, California
- Voices — The voices behind the Autobots and Decepticons
- Audition Tapes: Megan Fox — Megan's original Transformers audition

ReplyDeleteI'm from Brazil e own the Transformers Special Edition DVD. What's this access code you talked about?
ReplyDeletefor all of us who purchased it when it was first released... all the extras should be released via BD-Live.
ReplyDeleteLooks like all the Wal-Mart exclusive clips are gonna be there. It's too bad they never kept that going.
ReplyDeletesucks, i got the special edition steel case one from FYE. w/e i'll wait for the youtube rip.

Eh. I'll just wait to get the special 2-disc pack of Revenge of the Fallen that has bonus features when it comes out on DVd just like I did with the first film.
ReplyDeleteWhat about those who bought the HD-DVD version!!??!
ReplyDeleteSo, what would I do if I bought the first "Transformers" film on regular DVD? I know that there is stuff about access codes and what-not, but, I need clarification on how to be able to access these new features.
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to buy the regular DVD with all these 25 minutes of new extra-features? Like, will they re-release the "Transformers" DVD, just now with the new and improved bonus features? Because I'm not going to buy the Blu-Ray version, and I'd rather not rely on viewing them on Youtube.
Please! Please re-release the regular DVD WITH these new features!
arent they going to release the blu ray version of TF1 that was shown on IMAX?
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 6:33, sorry but HD-DVD is dead, Blu-Ray crushed them, so don't hold your breathe for any updates there. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteMost (if not all) of this footage we're about to have will probably be attached with the upcoming ROTF home release, but unfortunately we won't know that for some time.
While you shouldn't buy a PS3 or Blu-Ray player for one movie (no matter how GREAT it is), the picture is SO much better than the DVD version.

ReplyDeletehavent we seen megan fox original auditon tape?
BY THE WAY THERE IS A NEW TV SPOT I SAW ON TV
it has like sam and leneox saying run! or something like that
at the end wheelie says what are you looking at slobberpuss and right after that it switches to Ravage growling
Linkin Park has some more footage from the making of the music video for "New Divide." Cool behind the scenes that shoes a huge skeleton head and robot hand, something to do with fallen robots
ReplyDeleteWow, great way to use the BD-Live feature! I'm really looking forward to seeing this stuff.
ReplyDeleteI need clarification on how to be able to access these new features.
ReplyDeleteHey guys!
ReplyDeleteCheck your local WALMART.
I found one their.
Just tried right now to run this there is nothing on the BD Live related to Revenge. Do you have to do something different for this new BD Live material?
