San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Transformers Panels

The San Diego Comic-Con is just a few weeks away. The Con is the biggest of the year with comic, TV and movie converging in one huge mass with a ton of panels as everyone shows off their plans for the next season. Transformers will also have its share of panels to cover the toys, Transformers: Prime cartoon, and its history. Sadly nothing Transformers 3 is on the schedule but maybe one of the other panels might provide some info.

July 22nd
Hasbro Transformers 2:00-3:00pm
Aaron Archer (Hasbro Brand IP Development), Matt Proulx (Hasbro Marketing), and Hasbro Design's Michelino Paolino, Brian Wilk, Eric Siebenaler, Alan Roach, and Miyaki Tomoya are joined by Activision's Matt Tieger to talk about what's new with Transformers. The design and marketing teams will present all the latest toys from the new line as well as details about the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game from Activision. Also includes Q&A time. Room 25ABC

From Screen to Comics 4:00-5:00pm
An in-depth look at what it takes to turn big-screen action into 32 pages. Talented creators from across the spectrum, including Max Brooks, Nancy Collins, Peter David, Tony Lee, and more, look behind the scenes at some of the biggest properties to come to comics, such as True Blood, Doctor Who, The A-Team, Transformers, and Star Trek. Room 9

Transformers Prime 4:30-5:30pm
The talent behind Transformers Prime -- executive producers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Jeff Kline -- the new animated series from Hasbro Studios, showcase exclusive footage and character reveals followed by a Q&A session. This original series will premiere in 2010 on the new television network The Hub.

July 23rd
IDW and Their 'Bro 12:00-1:00pm
Representatives from IDW and Hasbro discuss what's coming up next in the world of Transformers, G.I. Joe, and the impending relaunch of Dungeons & Dragons. IDW's Andy Schmidt moderates a panel with D&D editor Denton Tipton and writers John Rogers and Alex Irvine, G.I. Joe artist Robert Atkins, writer Mike Costa, and more!

  1. Sorry I'm not bringing my Bumblebee this year guys! I really need to rework it and make it look good for TF3 next year.

    I'll be doing some GIJoe stuff for Hasbro and then going as Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 4. Hopefully I'll run into some fellow TF fans at the Hasbro booth! :)
