After those videos are more from zztopeurope from a few weeks ago as the Transformers parking lot was packing up. Of note is the two black Decepeticon SUVs have been identified as Suburbans (but modified judging by the wheels). Also the security guard at the site (4th video) said the name of the Autobot fire truck is not Rodimus Prime but Sentinel Prime, as the father of Optimus. Sentinel Prime was a creation of the TF comics as the predecessor of Optimus Prime as leader of the Autobots. In War for Cybertron, he was leader when the Cybertronian civil war started and killed by Megatron leading to Prime's ascension. Like most of the TF names, this one will probably not be confirmed until next year. Thanks to zztopeurope and DJ BigTymeBeats for the links.

Part1: Sentinal prime as a fire truck, i can live with
ReplyDeletekevin dunn with a beard in pjs, i'll be blinded forever
Part2: has anyone notice sentinal prime has become pretty popular amongst tf franchise, such as having a rebirth in TF Animated, then in WFC, and now this
cool
I still think the firetruck is Ultra Magnus. Cause in the book "Transformers Exodus" Ultra Magnus is the leader of the wreckers and stay's with them on cybertron when the rest leaves.
ReplyDeletePlus Ultra Magnus had a altmode the really looked a lot like the firetruck.
http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/5/0/8/8/83638_UltraMagnus_1209328799.jpg
I'm divided on Ultra Magnus, Sentinel Prime, or Firestar. I think I'll lean towards Sentinel Prime though, that's a pretty cool gold nugget of Transformers history.
ReplyDeleteI love how people are taking so many pictures and generating virtually free advertising for this movie. Most movies don't get this much hype. And Ratchet almost ran over that dumb lady who crossed the street behind him. hahaha
ReplyDeleteCurious as to what role the Decepticon SUVs play. Are they going to be actual robots? Vehicles for humans on the Decepticon side? That's just so weird.
I would speculate that one of those Burbs is Soundwaves earth mode. The other may be a human rig he scanned. From the videos they look to be lifted 2wd, and not 4wd. With the prerunner type suspension, be good for speed jumps. Looking at the front cross piece that the lower arms are bolted to I don't see the differential there. And the driveshaft is too long to have the transfer case. The only thing for sure so far is we will be seeing more of them later on I think.
ReplyDeleteLook at these pictures: http://tformers.com/transformers-idw-announces-transformers-sector-7-comic-with-previews/14197/news.html Preview from Sector 7 comic and there's one possible explation China's role in third film.
ReplyDeleteCool link. That Sector 7 comic looks very exciting, looking at the Decepticon skull and tnose photos of boat-Jetfire.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sure if that is Sentinel, since names are changed during post-production. But still some robot-info is a refreshing change after so long.
i still hope that the guy was lying cause i still want the fire truck to be ultra magnus.
ReplyDeletelol, stupid lady
Ultra Magnus is too expecting name. Nelson told that the fire truck's name will be less expected than Inferno, Hot Spot or Pyro which are confirmed not to be names.
ReplyDeleteThere has been lot of names to be unexpected. I never would have any theories that silver Corvette would be Sideswipe, or that the Twins names were Skids and Mudflap or that Jolt was Chevy Volt.
ReplyDeleteWhen ROTF was still filming, I mean.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the 2 Decepticon SUVs are the assassins that kill the humans.
ReplyDelete<8/29/2010 1:12 PM>: Yea, I have thought the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThe cast are using fake names for the Transformers. The only one`s they cant fake are the one`s we already know.
ReplyDeleteSentinel Prime was killed in all the forms of the continuity. If he`s back then that wipes out the entire point of the war.
The only alternative is that this is not Sentinel Prime but infact Sentinel Minor (Sentinel Maximus to fans) who was in the animated series. Personally i believe it is infact the autobot, Inferno (The Autobot fire truck from G1).
As for the SUV`s, they are decepticon assasins, who are targetting specific, well known people to turn the humans against the Autobots.
Oh and for those thinking Ultra Magnus (In his wreckers form) Then have a look at the truck we saw a while ago, with jagged teeth at the front, that is most likely Ultra Magnus in his wreckers form.
Scorpio - what about Transformers Animated? Of course Sentinel Prime was a completely different character in that one...
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness, bay makes these movies for those who have never seen the cartoon so the deeper people dive into speculation and ridiculous assumptions, the farther you will get from the truth. He will definitely provide surprises and i hope they aren't revealed until the film premieres but stick to the big guns because for the final film in the series bay will be going all out. trust me
ReplyDeleteI have 2 questions:
ReplyDelete1.) We have seen many times that there are more than one of each vehicle used in the movies that they use as back ups in case one is damaged. For example, we've seen two Prime's on set, two Bumblebee's on set, etc. So why when we see two Decepticon SUV's on set we automatically assume they are two separate characters in the movie? (Unless I missed something in the past to prove it.)
2.) If one of them is a real earth vehicle that as HammerZ has suggested Soundwave scans for his alt mode, then why do both vehicles have Decepticon symbols on them? Why would the earth vehicle have a Decepticon symbol?
3.) Why is Scorpio still around after 2 years spewing out his opinions as if they are fact?
Oops, that was only supposed to be 2 questions.
Because we are stupid fleshlings.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Megatron. :)
We seen videos of both being filmed driving down the street side by side with the camera rig in front. Add the stuff we have not seen, who knows? The editing and added effects can play it out quite different in the end. One is shown with a government plate, the other with no plate. We have many pieces, just nothing hard to go on. Soundwave is just one idea, background assassins may be good as well. As I said speculation for the most part. The only thing solid is the fact that the Suburbans are a part of the film. Not only on the lot, but loaded on the same truck with Ratchet that connects them to the film.
ReplyDeletescorpio...start your own blog so no one has to hear your thoughts...thank you...a concerned fan
ReplyDeleteI hope the speculation about Sentinel Prime (if that's who it is) is BS b/c that would contradict the notion that Optimus is the only Prime alive.
ReplyDeleteThis just in! The SECTOR 7 comics WILL feature the BEAST WARS as an important role in TFIilm3!
ReplyDeleteA Decepticon skull was seen, bearing the tag “Lupus Viperidae Decepit.” “lupus” and “viperidae” are types of animals, respectively wolf and snake, and, well, everyone knows what the last word is related to.
It seems there will be a foundation for a BEAST WARS live-action somewhere in the future.
: Why would they use fake names that have been in previous franchises worked as real names, Scorpio. I don't see any logic with that.
ReplyDeleteOne thing though. Have we ever seen the Fire Truck and Optimus being filmed together?
ReplyDeleteAre you suggesting Optimus scans a firetruck?
ReplyDeleteI'm scanning Rosie. :)
ReplyDeleteanyone else notice there's dinosaurs on his dad's pajamas?! dinobots hint? hee hee
ReplyDeleteMaybe not Dinobot hint, but Dinobot NOD.
ReplyDeleteSentinel PRIME?, Rodimus PRIME? In Movie 2 Optimus was the last PRIME...So either movie 3 takes place before movie 1 (would explain Ratchets new/old look) or we don't know anything about the firetruck. I'll bet on Ultra Magnus, because he also appeared in Transformers Animated. ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe some Transformers could have been promoted to Prime since ROTF? Just a thought...
ReplyDeleteI'm actually thinking he does scan the fire truck as well. I've search all the videos on the blog and not one video showed Optimus and the fire truck being filmed together.
ReplyDelete"Why would they use fake names that have been in previous franchises worked as real names, Scorpio. I don't see any logic with that."
ReplyDeleteThat way fans dont tend to question the answers they recieve.
"Scorpio - what about Transformers Animated? Of course Sentinel Prime was a completely different character in that one..."
I mentioned that specifically in the post (He was known officially as Sentinel Maximus until the final episode where he gained a higher status). I`m just mentioning to TFLive that it probably isnt the deceased first leader of the Autobots.
"Why is Scorpio still around after 2 years spewing out his opinions as if they are fact?"
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and i never claimed what i said was facts.
"scorpio...start your own blog so no one has to hear your thoughts...thank you...a concerned fan"
If you are indeed a fan, then you should realise everything presented on any site so far unless confirmed by Bay is only people`s thoughts and opinions.
Please note, i am not on here to quarell or force you to believe what i am saying. I am merely presenting my opinions and my reasoning behind them. I would also not like a repeat of what happened before, so if you dont like my opinions, present your own, but please dont start fighting with me or saying i`m claiming to be something i`m not.
"Maybe some Transformers could have been promoted to Prime since ROTF? Just a thought..."
ReplyDeleteYh, i agree, in this film adaption their seems to be two different ranks of Primes. The original primes (To which Optimus is the last surviving relative apparently) and the status Prime, meaning ruler or leader (Which was even used by Megatron in the comics when he and Optimus ruled cybertron)
"Why would they use fake names that have been in previous franchises worked as real names, Scorpio. I don't see any logic with that."
ReplyDeleteIt would stop fans guessing, i just dont believe a security gaurd would be allowed to overhear real information or be told the true identity of a robot.
"Scorpio - what about Transformers Animated? Of course Sentinel Prime was a completely different character in that one..."
I referred to him, i was just trying to make it clear that is unlikely the deceased predecessor of the Autobots, which TFLive refrenced.
@Everyone else,
I am not on here to fight or start arguements, i am merely voicing my opinions, i`m not claiming them to be fact. Noone anywhere other than Bay and a few cast know the official truth. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so please dont complain about me sharing mine.
I say if there is any misinformation campaign, Bay himself is the only one who makes it. Did anyone else denied Megatron's return in ROTF until it was revelaed to be misinformation by Orci? NO! We don't need to have a word from Bay, but word from someone who works with the movie.
ReplyDeleteat capricorn...voice your opinions...we don't care
ReplyDeleteBy the way, does anybody think that all Decepticons will die in this film>?
ReplyDeleteHonestoly I wouldn't take the word of anyone on or off set as to what the names of any of these vehicles are. Bay could have told the security staff fake names of the vehicles, it could be a security guard screwing with people, or he could be a Trans Fan just like the rest of us leaping to assumptions without any concrete proof. 90% of the posts on here do just that so is it such a reach that someone on set could be doing it as well? Even some of the confirmed names leave me skeptical as to real identities (the wreckers) so why should we take the word of some random security guard who seamed way to open about the character names, information which up until he released was closely guarded. If they were going to release the firetrucks character name, do you think it would have been done by a security guard, Nelson, or Bay (hint- one of these things is not like the other ones). Therefor I call BS.
ReplyDelete^i agree with Rob
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with Rob.
ReplyDeleteI also think we need an update. I'm getting tired of seeing Kevin in his PJs. We need some Rosie leggy love. Anything with Rosie showing off her legs, PLEEEAASSEEEE!!! hahaha
@LionBoogy: Rosie topmodel is going to kill the movie. They could have cast some better looking real actress or better yet avoided any new useless love interest that is not going to make any damned sense plot wise and characters wise.
ReplyDeleteBetter the Mercedes be a Decepticon and Rosie character Carly working with Decepticons to kill Sam and playing with him or this movie is doomed.
@ 8/31/2010 4:50 PM BULLSHIT.
ReplyDelete8/31/2010 4:50 this is really getting old the film will not fucking fail for the last damn time did you not get it we dislike you for what you are you are so fucking obsesed about megan fox that its fucking scary you need help you KNOW NOTHING DAMNMENT do you not get that. my god you are so fucked up and the damn things you come up with is so unbeliveble megan fox didnt make the movie TF franchis famous she did not if you actually think that then damn somthing is wrong with you get a damn life move on from megan get a damn girl forget bashing a stupid movie and dude rosie is so damn hot wish my ex looked like that damn......oky forget what i just said
ReplyDelete@Scorpio
ReplyDeleteReally? You think the cast is using FAKE names while shooting? Um, no, they aren't. If they are interacting with the robots, they are going to be using the real names. Why? Lip sync! Sure, the correct name can be added in ADR, but it's gonna look freaking weird. Bay might not be a great storyteller or artist, but give him some freaking credit!
Also, Nelson, who runs Bay's site said it WASN'T Inferno and that it would be a character we wouldn't expect.
And it's a leak. Leaks happen. Not everything can be chalked up to "misinformation". The point of it is to keep us guessing, make us uncertain. That's what it's doing alright, but leaks are still going to happen and some of them are going to be true.
What if the firetruck is really OPTIMUS. You can't see the prime truck anymore when the firetruck shows up. Plus, remember how they said Prime was getting a makeover in this film?
ReplyDeleteI think the Firetruck IS Optimus. Notice how the Prime truck disappears when the Firetruck shows up? And They said Prime gets a makeover in the movie. I think I am going to stick to that possibility
ReplyDelete@Scorpio (And I quote)
ReplyDelete"As for the SUV`s, they are decepticon assasins, who are targetting specific, well known people to turn the humans against the Autobots."
You state the words "they are".....not "they could be" or "they might be", but "they are". That implies that you are stating it as fact.
Stop.
alright
ReplyDeletei think i'll agree with " prime as a rank" rather than part of the name
also
WHY THE **** WOULD OPTIMUS BECOME A FIRETRUCK
optimus is too small to be that giant ass firetruck, i still believe it's either ultra magnus or sentinal prime
also there is no scientific reasoning for dinobots no matter how ausome they would be
but the pjs are probably a reference
also, i believe from how much we have seen, have yet to see, and prabably won't see until the movies released (CGI only characters)but so far i think, there will be over 50 or 60 seen transformers with specific names, even if they are bay-made
@Anonymous, There are 2 confirmed Decepticons acting as Assasins. I merely presumed, as many fans have, that these two SUV`s are the Assasins. I apologize for misleading you slightly.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous, The security gaurd is unlikely to be allowed near set during filming, i presumed he overheard the name when the cast were talking alone to each other. I didnt hear about Inferno being confirmed not to be a name of the robot, thankyou for updating me on that.
I understand where you are both coming from however i just feel we know too much about TF3 and if this is another leak then there will be nothing left to find out when we all watch the film. Asmuch as everyone on here craves for information, and spoilers, we dont want it to ruin our viewing pleasure.
For anyone who doesn't want their 'viewing pleasure' to be ruined, don't come here then! Wait until you see the trailers on t.v.
