Transformers: Dark of the Moon 3D Blu-ray Dated

Blu-ray.com has posted that the 3D version of Transformers: Dark of the Moon will be released in the United States on December 6th, 2011. As Seibertron compiled, Japan will get this version on January 20th, 2012 and the UK on December 12, 2011. I imagine other territories will be in that same ballpark. The disc will be a Blu-ray + Blu-ray 3D + DVD + Digital Copy "Ultimate Pack". There are no details on what, if any, special features that might be released with the film but I can't help but think that the only difference between this release and the one from last month is the additional 3D disc. No idea on price either but if the Tron 2 and Green Lantern 3D combo packs are any indication it will be in the $25-$30 range.

    I will definitly will NOT buy a 3D edition, bc I have no 3D tv and will NEVER buy one.
    But i'm with TFLAMB, I also think it'll be a simple edition with no extra's.

  2. The 3D gimmick ripoff continues... Due to a few fools wasting money on such a bad ancient technology willing to become blind (because it's what 3D stereoscopic vision causes to human eyes, more you use it and quicker you will get blind,there is no escape).

    1. Spoken like a person who says shit about something they know nothing about because they dont have or can afford 3D tecnology. Its worth it to those who have it.

  3. (sigh) All I want is behind to the scenes extras, deleted scenes, and an extended cut if there is one. Is that too much to ask?

  4. Well, if you look at BluRay.com...it lists:

    Four-disc set (3 BDs, 1 DVD)

    Could that be 3D Blu Ray, Feature Film Blu Ray, and "extras" Blu Ray?

    No, I just checke bluray.com and if you read a little better, it says the 4th disc is the digital copy on disc, so no disc with extra's.

  8. Interesting. I never heard of a "digital copy" requiring a Blu Ray Disc (and they specifically mention there are 3 BDs).

  9. Digital copies have never and will never be on Blu-ray, because most people do not own a Blu-ray drive on their PC's. In fact....correct me if I'm wrong, but most digital copies aren't even produced on a DVD. They are on standdard CD-ROM. It's gotta be a discrepancy on bluray.com. It's probably 2 Blu-rays, 1 DVD, and 1 CD-ROM (digital copy).

    @Chad:
    You're right, bluray.com does not have the exact info on the 3D edition. It'll probably even won't contain 4 discs, just 3, the 3D blu-ray, normal blu-ray and dvd. Digital copies are always on a piece of paper with a code you can enter on internet to download the copy. Just like the case with the blu-ray that's available now. I think that won't be any different with the 3D edition.

    I want to know when the Special Edition with all the extra's is coming.
