The Lansing State Journal is reporting that General Motors Lansing Delta Township Plant will be another location used by Transformers 4 production.
“It’ll be interesting to see how much of the plant they actually use,” said Bill Reed, president of United Auto Workers Local 602, who represents hourly workers at the Delta Township factory. “Some people are pretty excited. There’s a lot of mystery about what’s going to happen and what the movie’s going to look like.”
GM nor Paramount would confirm what will be filmed there nor what cast members might be involved. The shoot is scheduled for next weekend on August 10 and 11 and the only location that will be used in Lansing Delta Township, Michigan. Thanks to Wynton R. for the link.

They were looking for a GM plant earlier in production stage, so they must have a decent enough of a scene, where they need a carplant.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the scientists use carparts to make........ their own Transformer....... maybe called Autobot X?
Or, bc the plant in early talks, was also a GM plant. Maybe it is for a "scan scene" where one of the Autobots scans his altmode, the C7 Corvette or the Sonic RS in normal colors. But then again, they also could very well use this early chosen plant. But it didn't qualify.
So it must be little more important than a "scan scene". Maybe it is the scene, where the scientistst use their TF technology for the first time in the carplant, to activate their on Transformer? If they follow the "Autobot X" story.

Deletemaybe it is going to be metroplex.
ReplyDeleteVery Unlikely considering its highly doubtful a building would make a great alt form, in the bayverse, especially since it doesn't coincide with bay's "Chase From Hell" theme.
Deletebut wouldn't it be cool if metroplex did appear in the film.
DeleteIf the GM plant was used for a "scan" scene, it wouldn't be for a C7 Corvette because those are not built in Michigan. They are built in Bowling Green, KY. It wouldn't be for a Sonic RS either as those aren't built at the Delta Plant. What is built there are the Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Buick Enclave. So unless they make a mock assembly sequence for another car then the plant more than likely won't be used for a "scan" scene.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the info, that indeed rules out a scans scene. As I had to look up what kind of cars those are, bc I'm from The Netherlands, and they are all SUV's, that indeed rules out the Corvette and Sonic.
DeleteLike I also said, this is probably something more important, since they want a certain look, bc the other plant didn't qualify.
