The 2014 roadmap indicates the home release of Transformers 4 set for Q4 (probably late October, early November just like the previous movies) along with something referred to as "Animated Stunt" with a new beast like faction symbol. The same symbol comes up for a Q1 2015 animated cartoon while another new faction symbol is used for either a second series or second season of the series for Q1 2016 that will be followed by Transformers 5 in Summer 2017. Below is a look at the new faction symbols and concept art, for the rest of the gallery of concept products head over to TFW2005.

Transformers 4 Concept Art and Products, Transformers 5 for 2017 and More
A Hasbro presentation found on Transformers licensee Vilsco Textiles site has revealed a bunch of concept products and art for Transformers: Age of Extinction. The art (below) includes early designs for Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Hound, Drift, Lockdown and Grimlock that sometimes was spotted on set clapperboards. Of note is some of the art is dated for 2012 indicating that pre-production on Transformers 4 began shortly after post-production on three ended.

Hound is too much like Leadfoot, but they're not the same character, since they both (Leadfoot misnamed as "Sideswipe") appear in Lockdown Air Raid Kre-O set.
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA, Hound looks ridiculous, looks like a wrecker. Although he looks armed up pretty dam good. I believe that's what Lockdown will look like in the movie, looks pretty cool. Drift is clearly ninja all the way. And we all know the Bot modes for Ops and Bee by now. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteRemember the Santaclause and Grandpa head that we all seen months ago? Well now we know who it belongs to. He still looks like Santa. HO HO HO!!
ReplyDeleteWe have known that for a long time. This is not the first time we've seen Hound's full robot mode although's it's a first time we've seen in him in CGI.
Deletethey look like shit...why dont they just shrink them and makem human lmao
ReplyDeleteHound looks like Bulkhead.
ReplyDeleteHound might be much bigger...his vehicle mode compared to Leadfoot's is much bigger
ReplyDeleteI feel like the 2015 logo is going to be something to do with Senator Ratbat since he is instrumental in the rise of Megatron via Soundwave
ReplyDeleteY'know... Generally I don't bitch about decisions by the movie ... What exec??? Who, in the name of Primus, named that character Hound? That is the dumbest thing yet. You cannot get a movie characters not mode that more closely resembles its animated counterpart. That is Bulkhead. Plain and simple. Whomever assigned the name Hound needs their head kicked. (rant ended... Back to swooning over dinobots).
ReplyDeleteHound was a G1 Autobot with a Military Jeep Alt Mode
DeleteDeal with it. I like Hound, mad he aint a Jeep, but I will take him in this mode.Hell Bumble Bee should be a bug so.....
DeleteRemember people, these were early designs, back in 2012 in fact! I assure you Hound does not resemble Bulkhead in the movie! I am pretty sure other characters have gone through major changes as well!
ReplyDeleteQ1 2015 symbol is Maximals and Q1 2016 symbol is Insecticons
ReplyDeletePersonally I think Drift looks the worst. I don't mind the samurai look but the face looks horrid.
ReplyDeleteRemember this is a different series than mtmte. Just because he looks different does not mean he is horrid.
DeleteYeah I agree that's Bulkhead.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the name is Hound, because the character personality might be too militaristic for a name like Bulkhead. Does anyone ever think about it THAT way?
DeleteBulkhead was based on Hound
DeleteThe appearance Bulkhead had in TF:Animated had never been used before, but was later used in TF:Prime. G1 Hound had only same color scheme, nothing else. And TF:Energon version of Bulkhead transformed into a chopper instead of any land vehicle. So I would say, that only AoE version of Hound might be based on both Bulkhead's current appearance and DotM Leadfoot's appearance.
DeleteLike Anon 4/05/2014 6:53 PM says, these are early designs. Some people can't read apparently, the article says "concept art"!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't anybody remember the awesome toy boxart with the face of Hound on it? That looked bad ass!
I'll bet they all look bad ass. And yes, Hound's Oshkosh is a huge military vehicle, so I'm very curious how big and tall he'll be in robot mode.
One thing to keep in mind as well is that the body designs also depends on the vehicle. As was said in the first film they want all the pieces to fit realistically.
ReplyDeleteOne thing in the concept art of Hound doesn't make sence and can't work, if you want to look at the movie designs in a realistic way.
ReplyDeleteHounds feet are the tires cut up in several pieces, that's not possible, the tires have to be left compleet, otherwise they can't drive anymore.
No they don't really all we are seeing is a fake shell after they scan a vehicle.
DeleteI still think most of them looked good. I still just can't get past Hound's slinky arms tho, lol. He did look alot like Leadfoot in his origional concept art. I noticed that there isn't any concept art for Crosshairs in this batch of pics. I would have liked to have seen if they played with his image at all. I still wonder if Drift's mask is just a battle mask.
ReplyDeleteThose are bullets on his arms. I'm sure it's metal arms under there and the bullets are just on top.
DeleteI you have , all of you a different opinion made better characters than these . This is not G1 you know . This is bayverse and this time you look at the movie of the year 2014 at least the box office will be explode ! So if you are haters get out of here if not accept this designs :0
ReplyDeleteto be fair i dont like the new desiyns for optimus prime and bumblebee thhey should of keeped the old desiyns because they were alot better but the film does look good exept from those 2 mistakes and i hope that the film is better then the new desiyns
ReplyDeleteQ1 2015 symbol is Maximals and Q1 2016 symbol is actually a Predacons
ReplyDeleteheads down for lockdown and hound .. cool
