Nelson, admin of Shoot for the Edit,
posted a note clarifying the exact release date of the trailer, including when it will be available online. While Michael Bay did
confirm it would appear with Fast Five, there was some confusion do to the use of the phrase "next week" which seemed to indicate the UK premiere date of the movie. As a bonus he also provided information on the internet release of the trailer.
Fast 5 [w]ill be in theaters April 29.
The TF3 trailer will be available on Apple Trailers on 7PM (Eastern Time) on April 28th.
Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeletei am live in brazil fast five here is already in pre debut i went to see but had no trailer dotm
ReplyDelete@Anon 10:37: because you went a a pre-showing. the trailer will most likely only be shipped with final copies of the movie, or separately and just with a note to show before fast five.
ReplyDeletethat and they're also going by the USA release date.
So two weeks
ReplyDeleteSo much delay just for the first full trailer shows that production is in big trouble running behind schedule. They are going to do a big mess sorting things out. The useless 3D gimmick thing is putting too much pressure on ILM for CGI, it's bad.
ReplyDelete^^ wow ..you got all that from a simple release date??
ReplyDeleteHow about picking my lotto numbers for me next week buddy :D !!
...Anyway,
2 weeks it is then !!
^^^ This is a win
ReplyDeleteIf there was trouble how did all these press people and execs see the sizzle reel and pieces of the movie? Rosie herself said she's seen a lot of the movie so shut up and get over it. Don't see it. no one cares

LOL
@Anonymous 4/17/2011 2:14 PM: it's called damage control. It's marketing at work, it's a smoke screen. They showed some parts they almost completed that shouldn't be modified anymore so finalized to be included in the final cut and invited/paid the press to write some good things on what they showed. That is how the show biz works (but even other businesses do the same anyway).
ReplyDeleteIf you are behind schedule and you need to sell a product quickly meeting the deadline, would you just tell the world that you are late and in big trouble and needing to cut runtime, lower CGI quality and so on or would you just show some good things of your work that were ready for release or almost so that no one would question much about the 1-month delay or more of the first full trailer?
Due to the 3D gimmick they have to complete the final cut 4-6 weeks before the theaters worldwide premiere date or they won't meet deadline. They had to delay the first full trailer because they are running way behind schedule,it's pretty clear. That is the reason why they showed some short parts of the movie that were finalized or mostly finalized on time to the press just to ensure that no one would notice that production is in a really messy state.
Wouldn't it be great if they just postponed the release until christmas??
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget that the press group saw the trailer Thursday when they saw the other chunks of footage.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know how post-production on this film is going and neither do the anonymous people commenting on this post.
Everyone on this blog is going to see this movie at its first showing regardless of when the trailer is released.
Call me simple or selfish but I really don't care when this movie is "in the can" so long as it's ready at midnight, July 1st when I walk into my local multi-plex.
@Winton Ray- I totally agree
ReplyDeleteFrom the Bay Q&A with the press we can confirm Brains is the little Autobot with Wheelie and that Welker returns as a voice.
