I just got back from the set so I thought I'd shoot you a quick e-mail. There wasn't really too much to report. My girlfriend was an extra and she confirmed that the bulk of what was shot in the morning/afternoon were some lecture hall scenes. I can confirm that I saw Rainn Wilson and it appeared as though Shia was the only principle actor on the set. I'm sorry I couldn't get any good pictures, but everything was indoors. It was almost 90 degrees out and Michael Bay still wears the button-down shirts. Today is the last day of filming in Princeton.Rainn Wilson has finally popped up on set and probably playing the Astronomy 101 professor for a class Sam is taking at unknown Ivy League school. Princeton isn't playing Princeton but some other school, according to Bay. Below are three videos that Russell found.

A shot of Isabel Lucas (not confirmed) calmly walking away as extras leave in a panic during a possible "Frenzy-thing" attack as described yesterday. The characters lack of reaction to the chaos around her is very interesting. Wonder what it means?
A video of a scene being shot with Shia walking across campus while fumbling with his books that probably matches with one from Monday. This video is from WPRB, student-run radion station at Princeton.
Yay, stretching again (but no Megan, sorry). Is it an acting 101 thing?

ReplyDeleteI am so pissed. I got a 30 minute ride and arrived at 9:30. I go over to the back area where everyone is stacked, I stayed until like 3 when they wrapped on and went to lunch. Turns out they left and only signed through the other way. Now I gotta find the receipt for my transformer's DVD.

Or she was not going to be put in the scene anyway even if filmed there and it's just a way for Bay to add confusion and not reveal the plot?
However that would be true then for the other scenes with Bumblebee in car form almost attacking Isabel Lucas' character...?
Well, what we know is that Isabel Lucas was selected by Spielberg himself to be in the movie and so her role it's going to be either pretty or very important to the storyline. How much important that's the point here... We probably won't know until almost 1 year from now...
Anyone know where they are going to next.

ReplyDeleteI definitely see some foul play if Isabel Lucas's character isn't running and screaming like the rest of them. I agree either she's bad or she's seen the Transformers before this attack which side have no clue. But she seems to be playing a vital role in all this. Be kind of cool to see a human on the wrong side. This should be interesting.

The Isabelle Lucas character seems to be in league with the Decepticons in some capacity.

Is she really a Decepticon Pretender ?
Or is she under control of Insecticon Bombshell who can control Transformer or Human minds?
These are possible scenarios given the information we currently have and, of course, wikipedia!
But you never know there's probably another angle to her, as it's a Michael Bay film.
Yea Bay would love it if we set up webcams wherever they went for 24 hour coverage lol

ReplyDeleteAll it has seemed to have done is rile up mobilize anyone and everyone who has a cam or camera phone with the sole purpose of obtaing some sort of set footage for the purpose of spoilers. LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteMichael Bay goes on the internet a lot I think, and he always expresses himself. I think he's gonna get pissed and say something about all the cellphones taking pictures and recording. But what can he do? lol. I think he'll say "you're just ruining it for yourselves people". Ruining the plot that is.
ReplyDeleteSeveral of the staff told me they're filming next in LA and had never heard of filming in NYC. They also confirmed that today was indeed the last day of filming.
ReplyDeleteIsabel Lucas is with the decpticons and she is trying to break up shia and megan so she can hook up with shia and get to the "splinter" from the all spark and bring back megatron. and she does it, welcome part 3 where the Autobots defeat the decepticons for good this time...for now.

I wonder if Isabel "Alice" will turn out to be the holographic version of Frenzy. I wonder if she is on her way in that vid to intercept Sam, Mikela, and possibly Leo and then end up on the hood of Saturn Astra trying to claw it's way inside via the windshield.

ReplyDeleteI took that stretching video. She got pretty mad. I was filming through the second floor of the library at the time, and she actually sent a public safety officer (our campus police) to come get me. I was long gone by the time he got there.

I don't get it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Isabel Lucas the girl from the first Transformers movie where she was in the team working with the robots? And she detected the hack? How come she's not a Pretender/robot? o_o
