Another robot design revealed, joining Stinger and the Trax. Same source, same small blurry style images. There is a definite Decepticon aesthetic going on with the robot design. Thanks to Dan and Thomas for the link.
We still don't know what happened to "Barricade". Maybe he went off and got a new form and became the Audi R8? anybody care to think of that? instead of saying "he looks too much like barricade" etc.. why not take a minute, let the grears in your head start up and think "HOLY HELL IT MIGHT BE BARRICADE IN A NEW FORM!!!"

Dunno if its a new form for Barricade..definitely looks a bit like him. But for sure it is the R8..the chrome fuel door can be identified on the right door..very characteristic.

I kinda wish that if you're gonna do a leak, do a proper leak without these silly crappy half-assed pictures.

I think it is very possible it could be Barricade, because he would have to remformat, because the rest of the Autobots already would know what he looked like.
But... Something's just not right about it. I don't know what it is, but I don't think the Audi will be Barricade in the end.
In Reign of Starscream #1 Barricade was shown to have been forced head on into a bridge support by Ironhide during the freeway chase. He was damaged but not dead and after recharging Starscream told him to continue to monitor the Autobots
Ummm..First time i saw this pic I imediatly though it was Barricade without a dough! Seriusly look at him! And it makes a lot of sense him changing his form so that the autobots don't recognize him (his more than meets the eye ;))...but something isn't right here...it's not the color, the robot form pic isn't black its a grey....its not those wing thingys on his back, its not his strange legs....something here is truly wrong...this just sems to good to be true....maybe a false leak Bay did just so we wont have any idea of what the plot really is....we never going to be shore until we have actual confirmation that this is barricade or a new transformer...or maybe just some well made fan art.
P.S. You guys wont believe me if i told you who the Twins are...no they aren't the ice cream truck....BAys probably laughing at this very moment...we'r so far away from the truth...
I think its probably an early sketch of Baracade. The same probably holds true for the "Stinger"-transformer, who I believe is an early sketch of Jazz. The similarities are just too big, and even though it is possible that Baracade takes on a different alt-mode, I think it would probably be easier to keep him the same. I mean, why would he?
I feel that the mystery of Barricade's whereabouts (one of the flaws of the TF1 script)just might be answered with this particular bot. Maybe just maybe, Barricade scanned this as a new alt mode, as the bot mode looks WAY TOO MUCH like Barricade not to be him. Then again, this picture is blurry, and we can't blow it up to see the exact head and face, so we don't know for sure yet.
As far as Dan Orris's comments are concerned: Yes, it is true that the Decepticons are mostly military vehicles due to their warmongering nature; HOWEVER, have we forgotten about the Stunticons, and other vehicle modes that the Decepticons used? I mean, if an alien war-mongering robot is trying to take over the world's energy and use it for that world's destruction, why would the Decepticons stop at only scanning military vehicles? Wouldn't they also scan other types of vehicles, as well as appliances to further infiltrate the society of the world they wish to conquer and subdue? To me, it would seem to be a logical progression, and I hope that we see the Stunticons in a future TF film. That would be cool!
i realy do like the R8 great car. but i do not trust the robot alt mode to be the R8 just posible that it is an eurly scetch of baricade.
its a nice and great idea that baricade turns into the R8 to spy on the autobots. i believe that baricade will return in this next movie and hope he kicks ass too. lol
i trust that micheal bay that this wil be a great movie.
and what about scorpanock ??? where did he go to he didn't die just by loosing his tail.

i can't see how any autobot would be able to overcome devastator (who will have to be renamed due to the balls-up in TF1... he should have kept the name Brawl)
Here's hoping Bob Orci & Alex Kurtzman might do another Q&A on Yahoo somewhere like they did for TF1.. confirming some, if not all, characters (not even desperate to know alt modes yet). though if characters are confirmed/revealed then that might go some way to confirming somne story/plot points
I don't think it makes a LICK of sense to think that Prowl would have been Barricade AT ALL. Unless he isn't partial to the Autobots himself, and was looking for the cube for himself undercover. Why would he fight Bumblebee and endanger the humans by releasing Frenzy on them like that? Or chasing them down for what looked like hours in a high speed chase.
This whole Prowl = Barricade totally blows me away! How can it make ANY sense from a logical standpoint!? I know the movie wasn't rife with intellect but this is a real low level of stupid plot holes if it's the case.
i dont believe the concept art to be of the Audi R8...it looks likes the SR71 Blackbird (Jetfire) to me...the two sails that he has on his back...look like a split nosecone of a plane...just a thought...
I have no idea, who that Audi R8 Decepticon is. And everyone about Scorponok I'm sure that in Revenge Of The Fallen movie he will sacrifice himself to awake Megatron. The hint of it is that Megatron's new tank mode and Scorponok's scorpion mode are very similar. I don't believe that in this movie will be Allspark fragments like somebody think that.

Thats definitely a Decepticon but its not Barricade.
ReplyDeleteIf you check out the movie toys Bumblebee basically looks the same as Cliffjumper ( only diff color ) & Jazz looks like Smokescreen.
Besides, whats wrong with having a Decep taking the form of a fast car?
