Optimus, Nest Vehicle Spotted

Nathan provided the below pictures, taken with a Blackberry, of Optimus Prime and a Nest vehicle as they sat on a trailer in Arizona. I assume the destination is Holloman Air Force Base and White Sands Missile Range in Alamogordo, NM which is the rumor on where Transformers 2 production is shooting next.

Thanks to Nathan for the pictures.

Update: Thomas A. reports " I did see Optimus Prime and that Hummer this afternoon around 12:15 pm going past White Sands Missile Range, NM heading towards Holloman AFB. I didnt get any pics I was driving in the opposite direction." So there you go, I guess we know where Transformers 2 is probably this weekend or the next.

  2. WHAT THE HELL MAN!!!

How come half the time we see Optimus his Exhuast Smoke Stacks are missing and other times in filming they are back on? (I think).

    Besides that, sweet pics.

  3. Uh because they take them off on the trailer so they don't get taken off by an overpass.

  4. this hummer vehicle is a former decepticon turner good guy for sector 7. it was thought destroyed when starscream and others first arrived on earth. after end of movie, starscream goes back to dam to retrieve frenzy and discovers sector 7 turner this decepticon into a hummer. read the movie sequel comic.

  5. When shipping objects on a trailer, it is standard procedure to meet the minimum height clearance in order to comply to a foot or two space between the lowest highway overpass. So you have to remove the smokestacks according to safety concerns when you have a specific trucking route mapped. Other times, truck routes may not have bridges and overpasses, so removing the smokestacks are not necessary.

  6. I'm sure the comic is absolutely enjoyable if you like that sort of thing, but I wouldn't trust the movie sequel comic to be an adaptation of the movie. It's already stated that the comic story is a clear departure from what is actually going to be written for the movie. And we don't even know what the movie will contain. We think we do because we're say we're so smart, but we're really not. Everything we see up to now is hearsay and is just fodder for wild speculation.

    [sarcasm]I don't see Ratchet and therefore Ratchet must be dead![/end sarcasm] :) :) :)

  9. Is it me? Or does the white truck carrying Optimus and the Hummer look just like a repainted Optimus? (maybe it's Ultra Magnus...JK! LOL)

  10. I was thinking the same thing about the white truck. It appears to be a very similar model to OP. It even has the fender over the rear wheels.

Holy god! STOP!!!!! That's a Pete 379 also. Every Pete you see from now on is it going to be a transformer? That black cab over? the production power truck? remember? which one was that? an autobot or decepticon?

Give it up. It's a custom rig built by the owner. Probably works for an independant transportation comapny... or maybe it's SOUNDWAVE..

    loser

  13. yeah, who ever said that the comic book sequel had anything to do with the movie, is crazy.

if you guys think that the white truck is a TF too, then i'm sure the trailer is a autobot as well.

what about that tree in the background? i think i see and autobot there too.

no wait, it's the telephone pole. it's a decepticon spy.

    lol

and fyi, rachet does die. deal with it.

  14. you guys wanna know who's in the sequel? start search for clues from hasbro's production line.

the toys will be hitting the production line in next few months i'm sure.

trust me, if a rockband's cd can get leaked from a production line, so can pictures of toys being preocessed.

just need to do searches that don't contain key words; TRANSFORMERS, REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, or AUTOBOT/DECEPTICON.

  15. This is me Thomas A. I live in Las Cruces, NM and work at White Sands Missile Range. I left work early Friday and couldn't believe it that I saw OP. I have a friend that lives on base at Holloman and called and asked him about OP and the NEST vehicle. He said it is on base at Holloman. I asked him to take pics if he could, if I get any I will send them in so they can be posted up.

  17. I live in Alamogordo and Transformers 2 is definitely filming here now. Many of the local service industry people in hotels and restaurants are seeing the cast and crew on a daily basis. Particular restaurants are remaining open late to accomodate them, including the stars of the movie.
